BUT, seeing as most of what I was about to buy was all Star Wars sets, I'll have another opportunity just around the corner. So, at least there is that.

I was going to do that but it was on backorder so I went with the new x-wing instead.
Following day was informed it was on backorder (I ordered at like 3 minutes past midnight) and I wouldn't get it for quite a while. So I had a think, decided I might wait until the probe was out in case it was a GWP (didn't think of that originally, but in retrospect it obviously didn't matter).
So I asked them to cancel my order and give me a refund. Which they couldn't do as it was 'in the warehouse' or whatever (If it was in the warehouse why couldn't they send it to me? Never mind).
So I said "Well, can I just refuse it when the guy knocks on my door?" and the guy said "Yes, but can I ask if there's anything you'd like to help you decide to keep it? And I said "The Ulysses Probe?" but the guy said that there was no chance of that coming out any time soon. But he could get me a space coin, if I wanted that? So I said "YES PLEASE!"
And then the day arrived when the Shuttle was delivered. All was good, I got a silly carrot house and a few polybags, and a slightly scratched coin but not fussed because it's the COIN. But the Discovery set was damaged. Punctured from inside by one of the large pieces being wedged between front and back.
So I rang up to return it. And that wasn't a problem, but the set was on backorder again so it would be quite some time before I got it. Which I didn't have a problem with, but it was a bit annoying. Then "Is there anything we can do to make this better?" she asked, and I said "YES - the Ulysses Probe please!" - still not available.
Anyway, the probe fiasco then happened. And I couldn't get it. And I was trying to get in touch to find out what the issue was (until I got the sold out message everyone else was getting). And when I got in touch, the CS rep saw all my history and gave me a 1000 points just for waiting to chat, and said sorry. And I said that it was ok - it's not your fault Lego messed up this launch (I have since got more points after emailing my dissatisfaction about the probe, but I wasn't going to take my frustration out on this person).
And then I got my new Disco. And then May 4th weekend happened (in another thread).
And now I'm here. It's been quite the month! I need to build something...
No big purchases made since Elf Club House but suspect Friends Apartments might be incoming for imminent birthday. Foresee potential floodgates moment.
