Thats a sweet tractor @KungFuKenny were you not tempted to BL parts to build a second one? Or would that have been too deere?
The parts were pricey, so I thought I’d save a few bucks...and I’ve always preferred a John Deere to a Dear John, and yes I am fawn’d of deer puns...

I deere-ly want to make a tractor pun...Hmm...When you tractor in any parts you didn't have, how much would it plow through someone's budget?

I just finished up a nice MOC by Pehter  from Rebrickable - a vintage John Deere 4020 farm tractor with working steering and some home-made decals for detail ... Last but not least is the requisite “in the field” shot...

    Nice!!

Nice Deere @KungFuKenny! It certainly does 'Tractor tension in green. Sorry, that's very poor and re-veals that I'm stag-nating on deer puns. Doe-n't change a thing it's perfect!

That looks really fantastic! When I first started going to elementary school, my school bus drove past a John Deere dealership every morning and then again on the way home every afternoon. I always dreamed of owning one. This may have to be how that ends up finally happening!

Also, I'm no tractor expert, but are the treads on your rear wheels backward? I believe the point should be facing "forward" to maximize traction.

Maybe my farmer only drives backwards :-) ... no, you are right, of course..

    Great work @KungFuKenny

Yep, having driven a lot of different tractors I can confirm that the back tyres are on backwards! And, that's a ridiculously narrow front axle - but it does seem to be true to the source material - I'd be worried about flipping it over if you hit a molehill!!

My LEGO Space IDEAS contest entry is getting lots of comments. I'd be lying if I didn't prefer that would translate into support for Casey Jr...(or others)(And in case you're wondering why I'm putting so much effort into these, well, I feel like God wants me to better the world through LEGO...) Regardless, blessed to do it, anyway.

Just checked out a video from a German LEGO YouTuber named "Held der Steine". Recently Thomas Panke has been asked from LEGO to remove 5 videos within 2 days where he said "LEGOs" to products which haven't been made by LEGO:

I replaced my Winter Village layout with a downtown scene, still a WIP.  Today there's a cultural show in front of the Parisian Restaurant.

I tried out the new road plates and I like it, I'm planning to buy some more. It is ideal for me because of the small layout and I don't have any of the old road plates.

    Happy Lunar New Year!  :)

Not well today, so very glad that I had kept #70314 and #30372 in reserve! I have some tidying up to do this weekend and then I'm going to pull out a big set - maybe finally the Fishing Store...

My Lego status today is somewhat disappointed. I just found out that I didn't even place in a building contest I thought was in the bag. Serves me right for being cocky, I guess :)
Anyway, here are some renders of my entry. I will probably post it again on the Brickset Builder's Guild when I get the instructions up on Rebrickable, so stay tuned!

Set up a perimeter and launch the rocket! Of all the Space sub themes, Ice Planet is my favorite. The trans orange, blue and white is the perfect color scheme.

I was a little disappointed Ninjago Gardens ice cream tribute to this theme avoided traditional blue.

Had a fantastic day Lego wise. My periodic table of Lego elements arrived. I've also been searching for a good frame to fit my minifigures on a baseplate. After much trial and error I found one that does the job perfectly and is quite cheap. I ended up ordering 10 more of said frame. A bricklink order also arrived.

@Basty, I’m sure others here would be interested in where you found that frame :)

Opened the Technic Porsche and there are no numbered bags.  The only solution is public lashing to whoever made the decision on no numbered bags in that set. How is that decision made? Split that set into 3 numbered bags bags, that one into 5. That Technic Porsche? Just throw all the bags into the box and don't number them.
Still it's a good set even if most of my workspace if covered in Technic.

@Astrobricks You can find that periodic table for sale here, with free global shipping.

Shipping is from the EU, so anybody living in a non-EU country might get some import fees/VAT added.

I have just ordered one myself. Thanks @Basty for posting that picture. 😊

And @Charmiefcb: welcome to the world of Technic and the general absence of numbered bags!

No more snow on the ground here, but we did have a major snow and ice storm (worst ice storm in 50 years they say) come through here at the end of last week. I only got power back to my house yesterday evening after 5 days without. Did manage to get a bit of building in though during that time - built #76173.

@stlux might be a bit late, butif you order tonight before midnight you can use the discount-code  promobricks to get 10% off.

@Astrobricks it’s not a website or make I’ve heard of before but I was really happy with the frame. It’s also a glass front, not plastic.

@KungFuKenny Those skis first came in 1986 Technic Arctic sets from 1986: #8620 #8640 #8660 #8680. I might build #8660 tonight- and replace all those old black pins with the many spares I've acquired over the years!

They also sell them through amazon (same seller) but for £1 more. If people are that way inclined.

@gratefulnat No not there, that was left to allow the Porsche box to get dented.

Still snowed in here, so I’m playing with some more Ice Planet 2002 sets.  Of the three minifigs in that series, only one was un-named.  There was Commander Cold and Dr. Kelvin (love the pun!) but this guy was just called “Ice Planet-Male”.  I was playing around with the extra long skis that come in this theme, so I thought I’d dub him Eddie the Eagle...

    Next up to build is...

I remember how excited I was to get that set as a kid. Think it was the largest set I'd ever been given, a Christmas or birthday present for sure.
I'm pretty certain I still have all the parts for it, scattered around, parted out, somewhere! Definitely still have the baseplate and those big trans neon orange half domes. Always wanted to include them in a moc but couldn't think what. One day maybe inspiration will strike - though I haven't built mocs of any kind for ages now...

Enjoy the build @KungFuKenny and take care in the snow :)

I found (after a week) the sails for my #70618 Destiny's Bounty! The other parts are sorted by color; I didn't want to start rebuilding it until I found the sails, which happened by accident. I don't know why I put them where I did.

Any chance the GWP was shipped separately? That’s what happened for the last one I got.

My lego status is currently "very confused". Starting a couple of days ago, I have been inexplicably gaining 2-3 followers a day on Lego Ideas, even though I haven't been active on the site in months and have no current project submissions. Anyone know why?
