I have the attached lego pieces from sets probably purchased in the mid to late 1980's early 1900's but no set numbers or directions. I'm hoping to locate set info and directions so I can pass them on to my grandchildren. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Hey @EA4, welcome to the forums!

I'll start by directing you to this thread as it's the master identification repository: https://forum.brickset.com/discussion/513/master-thread-help-identifying-parts-sets-and-minifigs#latest

Your current post will likely get redirected there and merged with the existing conversation.

I'll have a go and start digging through a few of these. I'm sure there are others who will jump in as well to help you figure out all of what you have!

Hi all, just need some help identifying tbe character. My wife and kids brought it back from Legoland and it’s of sentimental value. Thanks!

I found this minifigure in a recent lot from Savers. It has LEGO stamped on the top of the neck, on top of the hips, and in the stud on the head. The lightning bolt in a circle on the sides of the head and center of the chest are raised, as is the detailing on the torso and arms.

My guess is that it is a custom made from LEGO parts. Anybody know where this bizarre little guy came from?

Looks like some kind of Flash villain as a custom, probably Zoom given the dark outfit and arcane look. It’s definitely not an official figure
  • andheandhe UKMember Posts: 3,491
Are you sure it says Lego and not something else, either in the same lettering or like Lago? If it's a knock-off brand then yes, it's cheap garbage, but if it's actually custom printed on official Lego then those figures tend to be quite expensive/exclusive so would be bizarre to find it just thrown into a loose bag of Lego??
  • CCCCCC UKMember Posts: 19,831
Do you have a close up photo of the stud in the head with the lego logo?
And what is that raised section on the chest?
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie West Haven , CTMember Posts: 1,701

I have more pix, this time showing the LEGO logo and the front of the figure. The emblem on the center of the chest and the lightning bolt patterns left and right are raised, as are the emblems on the sides of the head and arms. Center of torso and upper legs are textured.

@andhe I've found several pricey minifgures at this shop just mixed in with random bricks, part of why I keep going back every week.

That confirms it’s a ‘heavily customised custom’ using official Lego parts as a base, in my view.

Did that gold C-3P0 come from this shop? Seems highly unlikely that would be a legit one just lobbed into a lot of loose bricks but you could just be insanely lucky.

    I think that C3PO is legit, here's a couple of close-ups.

I've has very good luck at this shop, beginning with a #10188 Death Star for $56. The only thing it was missing was inner box #1 (all the parts were there, just missing the box). That was the set that ended my Dark Age.

Maybe in America you’ve just got gold C-3P0s lying around! Any time I’ve ever seen one in the UK even in a secure case it’s been a fake.

Luck and persistence pays off sometimes. I found a bin with a whole set of monorail tracks and parts for #7722 for $25. The same store has yielded several other great finds.

I'm definitely interested in that mystery fig, however. The raised portions in particular.

Whatever that black figure is, it looks to be a good quality custom based on those raised parts.

Anyone know what these chunks might be from? Looks fairly big but not finding anything.

In the second photo, at the top, left of the red square that looks like three 1x4s stacked, I think you have #30542-1 Cute Pug. In the top right of that photo, that looks like something from Minecraft, on a blue 12x12 base (likely two 6x12 plates).

The big chunk at the bottom of photo 2 looks like two train track pieces with tiles covering the studs, and sideways-built parts to each side- a MOC, perhaps for a streetcar or light-rail train? I'm sure the similar chunks in photo 1 go with it, and the big black chunks too- maybe the whole thing was raised, or even an elevated section.

First photo , that blue fin on the right seems to be from #3181 Passenger Plane, with sticker upside down.

Middle of photo 2, the 4x4 dish with red, green, yellow, and blue segments was in three sets: #10264 Corner Garage, #31104 Monster Burger Truck, and #31079 Sunshine Surfer Van.

    Hello All,

This is my first post and I'm looking forward to be able to explore all the different comments regarding the Lego sets. I have been organizing about 15 to 20 different sets that my 13 year old grand daughter built over the last 8 years. She has returned them to me and said to please give them to her cousin, my 5 year old grand daughter, for her to enjoy. I have been trying my best to reset which parts go to which set and have been able to match at least 85 percent so far. I have been stuck with a few pieces and hopefully someone will be able to identify the parts in these 2 photos and point out were they belong...   thanks in advance...   Pamma    (Pam plus Grandma  lol)

I'm unsure of the top photo, but will keep looking.

The bottom photo to me looks more like MegaBloks sets instead of LEGO. You can tell which company by the "stamp" on top of the studs. I can see from at least the small assembly with the glitter trans-blue plate/bricks and the glitter trans-red brick that they do not have LEGO stamps (and aren't parts that LEGO makes in glitter that I'm aware of).

First pic looks like parts of a Friends pet or horse riding set. If you scroll down to the ‘lime’ section here: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3031&in=S you might find something you recognise

Switchfoot55...   The_Rancor...   thanks so much for sharing this information. I did see the MegaBlock stamp so that mystery is solved .   I looked at that other link but didn't see anything that I recognized...   again thanks so much and the search continues.

@Pamma the pieces that make the light blue box thing are only in two sets, though I can't see that exact build in either of them

    https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=6231&colorID=105&in=A

Same with the long lime green 'plate' (Lego term for the flat brick) is only in 11

    https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3034&colorID=34&in=A

    A number of the parts seem to be in this https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=561411-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0}

But most look like things that your granddaughter has probably created herself.

Thanks again for all the help. Your help has made my matching a whole lot easier!  I just came across another small group that I set aside (hopefully my last lol), any thoughts on these pieces?   thanks   Pamma

The minifigure is Emmet from the Lego Movie and the Minidoll is Emma from Friends (funnily enough) I think. The pink conch, heart and hat I don’t think are Lego but the vine might be on first glance.

The vine is genuine Lego and that color is in just 5 sets...

    https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=16981&in=S&colorID=34&ov=Y

That Emma mini doll is made up of different figure parts ( that torso and those legs don’t seem to have come together in a set for Emma)

Is there a way of searching bricklink for multiple parts? Eg sets that contain X, Y and Z.

Can anyone tell me where this is from? Or if it is a custom sticker? The shield is genuine, light bluish grey but I can't find the sticker anywhere.
  • The_RancorThe_Rancor Dorset, UKMember Posts: 1,998
I’m 99.9% sure that’s a custom shield, at least the decoration is. There’s never been a Lego faction with ‘W’ in their heraldry, at least not with the Fantasy era ‘King’s Knights’ colours in the background.
