I am, truly, gobsmacked by the stalking powers of my Santa this year.
I’ll get to the box, but the other package started with a clue
Well, it is presumably LEGO so having to build something seems likely. Unwrapping revealed another layer and clue
So now I’m definitely intrigued. And further unwrapping reveals...
Is that...?
Yes, it’s me when I was 3 and a half!
And then from the box a trip to my dark ages.
Thoroughly surprised and spoiled.
Many thanks, I’m humbled that anyone would do this for me.
Love my gift from Santa, child venom also approves, he says it’s Gru-vy.
Merry Christmas Bricksetters and a Happy New Year.
Along with one of my favourite nibbles, a set I really wanted and a polybag that has finally filled a missing gap in my collection. Whoever you are, Thank you.
That just leaves me and the wife to say.....
Things may of changed a bit round here over the years but this forum is still one of the most generous and friendly places to visit on the interweb.
Hope you all have a great day and a prosperous 2021.
A big thank you to my santa! My previous lego decoration went awol so its a great replacement!
I was lucky to receive a set from the top of my wishlist...
I love that angler fish! My Secret Santa wasn’t done though, as this arrived in a separate package...
...a custom cross-stitched piece of art!
I’m blown away by the thoughtfulness and creativity shown by this gift... I love unique Lego items, and this gift is undoubtedly one of a kind! It will be framed and have a place of honor in my Lego room... Thanks Secret Santa!
Thank you very much Secret Santa for all of my lovely gifts! I was allowed to open the bauble before Christmas and it has been proudly on display since being built. I'm sure the selection box won't last the day, especially as my dog was trying to open it for me!
Many thanks to our organizers who have provided some sense of normalcy in these trying times - your hard work is very much appreciated.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a better-than- 2020 New Year.
Thanks to the organisers. Great job again 😀
These were the rest of the packages - all on my wanted list, including some that were retired and I’d given up hope of finding.
Thank you, Secret Santa!
On another note, I’m very happy to say that everyone in the UK has received their gifts on time! I was very impressed at times by Royal Mail when I compare them to Canada Post. Anyhow, Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for participating in this edition of the Brickset Secret Santa!
Merry Christmas!
thank you to all the amazing organizers who did this for all of us!!!
Thanks again to all the organisers. It's such a fun part of Christmas completely separate to everything else going on. Already looking forward to next year.
The part I thought was so cool though? This little fire car. Extra generosity, but it took me way back, which is what makes it beyond cool. The earliest ‘big’ set I still have intact as an adult was #6385 that I’d gotten for Christmas that year. I must’ve just gotten old enough to not trash a set, no lost pieces, & no pulling it apart with my teeth. Thanks SS for an awesome memory & bit of nostalgia! Muchly appreciated :)
Happy Christmas Everyone, and a big thank you to my Secret Santa. The chocolate did not make it to Christmas, but got me through the last week of work.
I had entirely forgotten about the fairground people set, so was a lovely surprise. They just missed out on visiting the rollercoaster, but I intend to get the Ferris wheel and carousel built this year, so they will be enjoying those rides :)
The creator cat is adorable and will be sitting on my desk for many months to come. I do love these little poseable creatures.
The final and smallest gift, however, was the best. I had puzzled over what this might have been. To discover it was the Minotaur got a verbal ‘YES’ and requisite fist pump. I don’t have many of the early minifigures, and to get one of the cool ones and a particular favourite has made my Christmas. I just hope there is not a Minotaur shaped hole in your minifigure collection BSS.
Thank you again for all the lovely gifts BSS and to the elves who help organise and run the show.
I've got a nice range of sets. (Toy R Us exclusvie x-wing THANK YOU :) ) + the montly build of april (due to Covid the Lego-store here wasn't able to get these as it was closed). Furthermore the Thanksgiving harvesting is a nice addon for my thanksgiving-themed lego (Although we don't celebrate it here in BE :) ) And I got my first minecraft set which is a bit odd because I was thinking last week of buying maybe one next year as I don't own a single minecraft set :) Also all polly's that I don't have are good polly's so my Secret Santa did a superb job!
yesterday I opened my gifts.
Secret Santa, thank you very much for these! The ornament is up in the tree and my village is looking at the presents.
How did you know, that I love cats?
The Harry Potter figures will take pride of place as soon as I put the theme up again.
Thanks again for the organisers, it was a blast.
Thank you, Secret Santa (and thank you to all who worked to organise it behind the scenes).
A fab haul for me - the handmade chocolate Lego bricks were scoffed on the day of opening, but I managed to be good and not open anything else until last night. A Speed Champions Porsche, a 12-in-1 set AND a £10 Waterstones voucher.
Clearly I was on the "nice" list.
Thanks again, Santa - you nailed it!
First to be opened was this very high quality card, courtesy of Operation Moonpig.
The note left the agents completely mystified as to the identity of the sender: they're unsure of whether a reference to "the North" was a hint.
After being forced to the ground while the three packages were scanned for explosives and chemicals, it was deemed safe to open them.
A big thumbs up to my Secret Santa!
bricksetters once again proving what a lovely bunch of people they are.
Again, thank you to my Santa! I couldn't be happier!!!
And thank you to the amazing facilitators who coordinated everything!
Only 10 months until BSSS2021!!! (Maybe we should draw names now to allow foe more shipping time?)
Is it just me, or is everyone reading and rereading the reveal posts and getting a warm fuzzy feeling? Also is anyone else liking every reveal picture so your victim recipient can't go and cross reference their post with others and try and work out who sent their gift...no. Just me then!
