Yep— an admittedly amateur photoshop job made sure flying (and landing) was safe for all!
Happy to post a Video of the process - I gather they’re popular.😀
For some reason I’ve been hungry all afternoon...
My only regret is that I spent so long contemplating getting it. It was a really relaxing build, the accompanying soundtrack is really interesting, and the art just looks stunning on the wall. If you're on the fence about getting this one, I implore you to do so.
EDIT: Whoops! Just saw your post on the Status thread :)
Looks like the law of gravity has been temporarily suspended in the Netherlands! 🙂
You know it is funny how simple solutions evade me sometimes.. I have been working on work arounds that just didn't work or look right and then you mention the 66 batcave and my memory jogged to that giant tan batcave.. I never even thought about it but yes the pole looks like it would go 2 and 1/2 stories high in my firehouse which I could make work with landing cushions and everything. Thanks monkeyhanger. Save a lot of frustration for .40 cents on bricklink and the other set they used the pole on other then that batcave was go figure the ghost buster firehouse..

For those wondering about my choice of hanging spot, I literally don't have space anywhere else that hasn't already got some sort of Christmas decorations hanging on it.
Also this set is huge and heavy. Not sure about putting this on my modular shelf. May need to get the builders in and install a 32x32 stud sized reinforced concrete base for it.
My normal desk is plenty big for most UCS sets, modulars, etc., but I had to use my old desk in our bonus room for this one. I still feel like I could use a little extra space! I'm extremely glad for electronic instructions. I have them up on my 15" laptop, pushed to the back of the desk. I don't think I would have been able to manage with the paper instructions.
I am keeping my planned pace of at least 2 bag sets per day since Sunday, so that's good! I will probably get through bag set 8 today. I might try to get in 9 as well. Then I'm halfway home!
