Might have been a bit bored so tried build it in the bag with the HP advent calendar from last two days. For the eagle eyed, yes I did stick the extra parts on as well.

Slightly more frustrating than CMF bag fondling!

In a mad-cap burst of building, I built a Christmas Tree.

Also, completely disappointed in a Razor Crest.  Missing about half the pieces from bag 2, including the Child and many unique parts.  Immediately noticed the Child was missing - didn't realize 30+ other parts were absent.

(Probably should parse through bag 3 to ensure I don't have to wait another six weeks for more pieces.)
Where did you purchase it? As soon as I read what was missing immediately raised my suspicions.

@560Heliport to be fair, it has been unusually warm in our state as well. I mean, we haven't even had our annual week of 30 below yet :)

I upgraded my #70503 Golden Dragon (larger, smoother, more golden) and then took it for a flight in the front yard...

    Did it survive touch down???

Yep— an admittedly amateur photoshop job made sure flying (and landing) was safe for all!

Just finished mine too, did the ice rink freebie last night and it seems to have a flaw - the yellow "cross" profile axle piece is about half a stud too long and bites into the base when the fountain pieces are compressed down fully, stopping you from turning the fountain to spin the skaters. The round ridged 2x2 brick only has half it's stud depth engaged to allow free spinning of the fountain.

Built my Charles Dickens GWP this evening. I love it. Novel idea for a set...

I’ll try not to read too much into that comment... 🙂

I don’t know when the new batwing will be in stock again, so for now, I’m building this for the first time. But I just lost an hour reading the designers’ notes around brickset, love this feature.

Finished the roof of the Gingerbread House yesterday, so the WV is complete unless Elf Club House comes back in stock. Today I'm on to some of the past GWP (Nutcracker, gift box scene, and carousel) and the new reindeer and snowman ornaments.

Am in the middle of building #75810 Stranger Things The Upside Down. It arrived yesterday along with a #40422 Frankenstein Brickhed and the GWP #40410 Charles Dickens which was a fascinating build!

Just built the Elf club house. There was a substitution in bag 5 with all the chimney pieces, I was 1 piece short of those rounded 2x1 plates in DBG and in its place there was a bright pink version of the same element. Definitely not used elsewhere in bag 5, should not be there.

Just looking at the Gingerbread house and the Elf Club House side by side, there's doubting that the Gingerbread house looks far better.

No doubting. The Gingerbread house is massively better. I just wish it came with a spare or 2 of the printed baby tile - my 5 year old keeps trying to pinch it, it's only a matter of time until it goes.

Get one (or more extra's) on BnP - it's only 27cnts (in the EU)! :)

    Today was Gingerbread House day!

For some reason I’ve been hungry all afternoon...
    you’re missing one...

;) cool setup, I’m missing the other small one.

Will be starting my WV setup today, also continuing the #10197:

Just wish Lego would post my BnPorder for the rest of the windows!

Is that the custom GB house by inklingbricks?  I’ve admired that one for a while now...

^ Railings and a fire pole!
Lol ya I'm getting there. The pole is proving difficult to find something the right length to go to the top.. Still figuring that out too. The rails Where on there but I leave it open at the back for my son to play in the buildings and the rails got in the way of his hands so I removed them for access. The studded floors need tiling but can't decide if I should do a wood floor or tile..

The poles from the '66 Batcave are quite long - how big do you need them?

    @monkeyhanger

You know it is funny how simple solutions evade me sometimes.. I have been working on work arounds that just didn't work or look right and then you mention the 66 batcave and my memory jogged to that giant tan batcave.. I never even thought about it but yes the pole looks like it would go 2 and 1/2 stories high in my firehouse which I could make work with landing cushions and everything. Thanks monkeyhanger. Save a lot of frustration for .40 cents on bricklink and the other set they used the pole on other then that batcave was go figure the ghost buster firehouse..

Not the most engaging of sets due to the repetitive nature of the build but it does look really nice when finished and hung. The burst of green livens up the white bathroom tiles nicely.
For those wondering about my choice of hanging spot, I literally don't have space anywhere else that hasn't already got some sort of Christmas decorations hanging on it.

Ended up "panic" buying the wooden minifigure, even though I think its way over priced. But since its retiring I might regret it later on.

@EGRoberts I really like that park! It just needs a couple more benches (so more people can sit and enjoy it).

Ya I was at one point debating on some small picnic tables or a kid playing with a soccer ball but the tables are proving hard to fit so benches maybe. Still working on it as there is spare space to fill.

I just finished bag sets 6 and 7 on #75192. The frame is complete and bag set 7 was the start of the outer shell--underside of the mandibles. I've seen this set in the store before, but there really is something incredibly impressive about its size and level of detail when you're building it yourself, in your own home.

My normal desk is plenty big for most UCS sets, modulars, etc., but I had to use my old desk in our bonus room for this one. I still feel like I could use a little extra space! I'm extremely glad for electronic instructions. I have them up on my 15" laptop, pushed to the back of the desk. I don't think I would have been able to manage with the paper instructions.

I am keeping my planned pace of at least 2 bag sets per day since Sunday, so that's good! I will probably get through bag set 8 today. I might try to get in 9 as well. Then I'm halfway home!
