  I'm finding the £15 limit much trickier this year! I'm not somebody with a large stash to just pull from (it's clear from previous photos of gifts sent that they are worth far more than £15)

  Quick update: It’s a little over 38 days til Christmas and some packages are already moving their way across Europe... excitement is building!
  
  I may decide to splurge for my SS... on AliExpress I can get a Cafe Corner for $85!  :-)

  I do find that when you're stalking someone that you're not familiar with, you sit there ploughing through the comments and wish that they'd - just once - post "I really like theme X."

  I've joined in for the first time in 4/5years now, because I moved to Switzerland. I was always worried about sending things by post. It is completely fine, and I really wish I had joined in for those years that I was worried.
  
  Anyways, super excited about taking part this year! I really enjoyed stalking (lol) my victim and started to think about good gifts. I may or may not have sent my secret santa present to the recipient. 
  
  And last week I was so excited to receive my present from secret Santa! I feel like a child - I`m being teased and called by the present all of the time!!! BTW - The family love the stamps as well! My wife is keeping those!

  Is there any leeway on the present getting to the recipient on time?
  I only ask as apparently it's against the law to break into someone's home to be extra vigilant on what their likes and dislikes are.
  Apparently, Brickset Secret Santa stalking isn't known to the local law enforcement so isn't a viable excuse.
  This obviously means that for the next 30 days or so it's going to be difficult for me to get out to the shops and then the post office to post whatever my gift will be off to the recipient.
  I was going to try and order something over the phone but even that has proved problematic as it appears you only get one phone call and It was recommend that I try a good lawyer not [email protected] 
  My apologies in advance to my Santee, firstly for the late gift and secondly for knocking the plant over when I climbed through the window. 😟

  Plus folks (myself included) will often include some extras out of their own stash, which technically wouldn’t count against the spend limit, right? 🙂

  I overspend too but the spend value is near budget but regular price would've been nearer double. Chocolate wouldn't survive here to be posted

  Just a quick update from Europe- 50% of Secret Santas have now shipped their packages, and several have arrived.  Just a couple of quick reminders:
  
  1. Please leave plenty of time to account for long shipping delays due to Covid
  2. Let your respective organizer know when you ship your gift out to your Santee
  3. Also please notify us when your Secret Santa's gift arrives at your home
  
  It's a little over 21 days til we can open up those packages and start building, and I can hardly wait!

  The important thing is that the average spend across all Secret Santas is around £15/$20. I try to offset everyone else's overspending by sending my santee nothing more than a used brick separator. That in itself won't bring down the average spend across the group much, which is why, once I have my santee's address I go and steal about £350 of their Lego collection. I figure that's enough to offset 70 Secret Santas overspending by £5 each. And voila... the universe is in balance again.

  I will say that for anyone who feels like their gifts aren't as grandiose as some of the photos you'll be seeing in the coming days/weeks, there is no pressure. Everyone is in different positions regarding finances, their collection and "extras", the deals they can find, etc... Just have fun and do what you're able to!
  
  ...unless you're my Santa. Then I have some very lofty expectations of what will be arriving...

  Now what is going through my brain is are you just cheap (sending a teal one) or really, really cheap (an orange one)? :-) Your brick separator colour indicates your level of cheapness.

  Over the past month I have received nine items from Amazon I haven't ordered. I assume as part of a brushing scam. I reported it to Amazon after the first few, but they keep coming, so I guess it's just an uncomfortable fact of life now that I'll have to learn to live with - like my children. The first eight were addressed to a Hannah Wallis, but the package that came today was addressed to that famous Scottish-Indian gentleman, Declan Singh.
  
  But all this talk of overspending on our secret santees got me feeling all warm and generous, so I thought I'd share the wealth. So what do you guys think my santee would like most? Four pairs of giant, mostly cotton women's underwear? Electronic blackhead remover? Or perhaps six pairs of 36% polyester "knitting socks" (I guess it must be important to always dress appropriately when knitting). Or maybe something else from this smorgasbord of delights.
