Im fairly confident 30x30 will get a full train loop, but I also need space for the other WV sets (I have the train onward, so it’s not too many, but obviously it increases every year!
Yes "quality" is a subjective sliding scale but the same problem in more than one set at the same time suggests a slip in the QA.
Welcome to the world Baby Yoda! May be my favourite set thus far.
I'm not a Harry Potter fan per sé but these 4 modular-buildings-in-a row-look spectacular!
Have to say though that I only can do this because I have Bitcoin and the exchange rate has exploded over the past 5 weeks.
Obviously with events like these not taking place right now, I was asked if I could provide a time lapse for them to include in some sort of collaborative video they're working on.
Not something I've done before and with not being able to see more than a square inch of carpet in the LEGO Room, perched at one end of the living room and gave it a go.
I guess this will teach me to not run too many projects side by side. Only about 2/3rds complete.
Honestly? Not really. I chose it because it was to hand and a manageable size to enable it to be built on the trunk. That, and the fact that I could do it in an afternoon. I am not a fast builder by any stretch of the imagination, but it only took me six hours.
I also found it repetitive in places and it was lacking all of the secret and nifty side builds that you don't really know you're building until you've built them. Although to be fair, you don't often get those in ships. Mostly Modulars etc.
I don't regret having it, but no, it isn't up there in my list of favourite or memorable builds. I only bought it because I had the rest of the meaningful large-build ships from this current phase and it would enable me to sell my sealed #10198.
;)
LOTR is one of my favorite IPs and I’ve been meaning to do this for some time. I already have a few extra Bilbos, so I saved some coin by skipping out on Bricklinking the proper minfig (it’s not exclusive, so I’ll get it at some point).
Also planning the setup and base for my WV. I won't start building any of the sets themselves until this weekend, but I need to finish setting up the base and track. Need to get some white flannel fabric as a wrap for the base board and some batting as snow drifts on Friday. Ordered a staple gun to secure the snowy ground. Ordered some tunnel sections to form a hill/mountain so I can take advantage of extra space over the track for at least one set, maybe 2.
-went to bed disappointed that I stayed up til midnight for a less than stellar Black Friday event
-woke up excited that the Wallace and Gromit Ideas submission achieved 10,000... not my project but would be a day one purchase for me if approved!

Gotta be careful with the 1000 cheese wedges.
My status: Wife needed to go to the mall for some gift shopping, so I drove and of course had to stop into the Lego store. Sales were the same as online and they didn’t have Elf Club House—they said they won’t for a couple more weeks, unfortunately. I took a quick look at Steamboat Willie and didn’t pull the trigger. So I wasn’t going to buy anything, until I remembered that I needed some PF components for my WV train. Then I was browsing around and my wife ended up buying Assembly Square for me for Christmas. Woo for me!!
In between chores and other life stuff, I managed to get all my Bricklink wanted lists up to date.
It took longer than expected because whilst I was at it, I had to update the At-At part list as well (due to the new version released) as well as checking what I had for the K-Project.
Turns out I had more of K-2SO than I thought.
I've had a look at the US S@H and they seem to be going just as badly as the Au S@H.
Right now part of me is tempted to buy something else at the same pricepoint then say "oops not interested, want an exchange" once the GWP is in-hand...
