#75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers $23.99 this week. West St. Paul store has seven on the shelf at this moment.

It would be awesome if they released a promo set that matched that gift card.  I'd definately want one. Too bad the Target chain only lasted a couple of years here in Canada.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,342
So 20% off without the giftcard hassle and $10 off more than $50 is de facto less than 20% off
That's only this week but the giftcard deal runs another 2 weeks

#41428 on my list is part of the 20% sale
#60221 is my only want left from the giftcard sale, maybe the Avengers mechs #76140 #76141, maybe #41379 but that overshoots the $50 minimum by itself
So much of it that I'd be interested in I already have, another #40358 maybe. I already stocked up on baseplates with this sale.
The Trolls models look interesting but thr figures for the title characters look silly

Thanks @560Heliport!   I’ve been searching for this set since it was released and had yet to see it in stock anywhere.  Target.com and Brickseek both showed my local store had some and I just drove straight there and found 3 on the shelf.  So needless to say I’m pretty stoked that I finally got it and the 20% off to boot.

@Yo_dA Sweet! Glad you found them. I got one at a local hobby store a week or so before release. I'd like a couple more, but needed groceries more. (It was a struggle!)

What are the chances that there will be a real Lego Spot the Dog?
There once was! It came free with the purchase of a the gift card and you could make three different things with the pieces, like a little mini 3-in-1, and one of them was Spot. What’s the trigger set for my two-year-old son becoming a lifelong fan.

    Good catch!
(But as was pointed out to me and as shown on the package, his name is actually Bullseye :)

They should have gone with Treble 20 instead of Bullseye, worth more points.

Picked out 7 CMF a few days ago, made a 2nd pass and found 5 more. Hard to hit barely over $50 starting there but settled on #75934 and #71706

#31058 and #75966 are possibilities for sales not part of the giftcard deal, and #31088 might go well with 60221 on the GC deal with any $20 such as the Thanos and Iron Man mechs to hit $50
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,478
Grabbed a #75243 at target and got them to match Amazon, plus redcard discount and the free $10 GC. Out the door at $91.52.

Did the same with #60229 tonight for $92.59 sans tax (which is what I meant above). I don’t keep track of tax :)

Saw that, now I'm bummed I bought a Quidditch set from [email protected] to meet the GWP minimum and another from Target during their Gift Card Promo.  Might be worth returning the Target one and being out the cost of the Gift Card.  Then again I may need one more set to make a full team.  Slytherin is covered with the Malfoy minifig but I think I'm still one short for Gryffindor.

LEGO or not I sometimes jump on a sale only to find a bigger sale later. For example #76157 is 20% off at Target and I'd already gotten it at Walmart for 15%.
However, sometimes I'm right to wait. I passed on #41379 with the $10 giftcard and it's $24 off now.

@ KingAlani I Called Customer Service this morning & they were kind enough to issue me an additional two $10 gift cards, one for each of my two previous orders during the Gift Card promo, to make up for the now lower prices on the sets I had purchased.  Saved me from having to re-order and return the original purchases so I'm a very happy camper since $20 was the additional amount I would have saved during the current sale and that was exactly what they comped me.  Lot's of really good deals on many sets this week.  Still a few sets I was hoping for deals on that haven't been reduced yet like the Creator Pirate Ship & the HP Astronomy Tower.  So I'll either get them during the next LEGO GWP event or wait for a deal.

But I'm pretty sure you give up the 5% redcard discount if you have one.

You only get the 5% on any leftover balance after they deduct the value of the gift card.  Still trying to decide if it's worth it to me to grab some for the 10% off vs. the everyday Red Card 5%.  Probably should but I'm still paying off Hospital bills from my pneumonia bout at the end of September.

True, giftcard use is instead of the redcard discount. 1% Target Circle rewards still apply when paying with gift card, so you're only giving up 4% (or gaining 6% rather than 5% with a 10% off giftcard). I can understand not wanting to tie up the money if there's something else you want to or have to pay.

I guess it doesn’t surprise me right after a weekend close to Christmas. Hopefully the shelves will be refilled this week. They looked normal at my usual Target tonight.

Went to that same target today (Edina). They only had a half aisle of Lego (normally at least 1 and a 1/2 aisles), and it was totally disorganized. They had filled the rest of the Lego space with other random stuff, probably just so the shelves aren’t bare. I suppose it makes sense for them to use the shelf space for something if they can’t fill it with Lego.

My Target LEGO aisle is also decimated. But they did have those jigsaw puzzles for $9.99 each. And a tag for 30577 in their Valentine Day section.

No deals but there were lots of big Creator sets at my Target - Aston Martin, London Bus and Ford Mustang plus the Lego Art Beatles. Mostly still empty but they’re working on it. Also the #30343 McLaren Elva and CMF 21 are by the self checkouts.

My target had a couple of Lunar Modules on the shelf and the Potions HP Moments book.  Also whatever the Blue Speed Champion Polybag vehicle was by the checkouts.  I may have seen a couple of the Art Sets but as I'm not interested in those I don't remember if they were new ones or some of the original sets.  Most full section was Super Mario but again I don't know if it was new or old stuff as I've no interest.  No series 21 CMF's yet.  I was able to order all four HP Moments books online to pick up in the store but the Potions one was the only one they had on the shelf.  Most of the Lego shelves were still pretty bare.
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,478
I wonder if their online sales are high enough that they are “stealing” product from getting shelved at all.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 966
I expect so considering I was able to get all four books even though they only had one of them out on the shelves.  I also think they are waiting to do inventory before they fully restock.  My store is weird because sometimes they have items showing as available in the store but not for online pick up.  Other times they show stock available for online pick-up but it definitely isn't out on the shelves in the store.

A few #30553 for $3.99 added to polybag rack

Some big sets (Architecture, Ideas, Beatles mosaic) are over in collectibles but even those shelves are half empty

Regular toy section aisles are even more depleted

It is usually mid-January before the presentation team gets toys reset. When I worked there 10+ years ago getting workout stuff set up and the swimwear out front to motivate people towards the workout stuff is priority right now.

It should simplify things that there isn’t much left to put on clearance this year :)

Yeah they aren't wasting any time with Valentines rollout and though 30411 is shelved with other LEGO it does fit that theme

#60292 might be nice once it goes on sale

Has anyone seen these at their actual store?  All stores around me are "Not sold at this store" or one has an "out of stock" but I also have 1 store that it says "Limited Stock".  Just wondering if it's a wild goose chase?

I was at a target two nights ago and they had multiples of fiat, elf house, mustang, wall art, others I can’t recall.

My store had 1 on the shelves even though the Target app said out of stock. Almost got it but put it back since I ordered one online.

It was in the normal LEGO aisle along with the other Creator Expert sets mentioned above.
