F#@$ing rabbit hole... 😄 I've never seen a Trolls movie or cartoon, never had any of the toys (and I don't think my sister did, either), yet here I am!

I've managed to resist all the Trolls sets so far other than Poppy's Carriage.  There are some sets currently on my wishlist but they are low priority meaning must be at a greatly reduced price before I'll buy them.  They do have some interesting parts in some sets which is why they ended up on my wishlist.  I like the ones with the Pods & the boat one with the tent.

I’m on Bag 5 of Barracuda Bay myself and it’s awesome! Last week I built #31109 Creator Pirate Ship and I was impressed. It’s amazingly well done, especially the hull design. It should be considered in all of those model of the year awards, but It will probably get looked over because of the plethora of bigger, more expensive models.

I’m considering purchasing some custom sails and turning 31109 into an Imperial ship. Need more Imperials!

The great thing about 31109 is you don't even need custom sails to turn it into a bluecoat ship.  Just take the black tiles off the front sail and put on some blue tiles and bob's your uncle!

In the last 2 weekends I have built the 1989 Batmobile and Tantive IV—finished the last couple bags of Tantive IV today. A nice easy pace with some short internet breaks was just the right length for Rogue One and A New Hope.

I have tomorrow and Wednesday off too. Trying to decide if I should build a mid-size SW set, a Hogwarts section, or DO or DD. A modular might be more than I want to do because I do have some actual housework to deal with as well.

Two days off, and you're only going to build one set? Slacker! :)

Right now I'm literally building EVERYTHING in my collection.  It's gonna take a while since I've got sets going back to the 1970s (except for 1981 and 2001 for some reason.) We moved into a new house last year with a big basement and I'm finally getting around to setting up a very expansive city consisting of over 125,361 pieces among 499 sets. (I should probably make #500 be something special.)

I’m usually really slow with the big sets, take lots of breaks, etc. Seems especially true with the modulars, where I tend to sort pieces from each bag before building. Smaller sets are much faster for me, even on a piece/minute rate.

I don't like to stop building until I'm done, so I have to decide whether it's too late in the evening to start a set. Of course, sometimes I start one anyway!

I settled on Detective's Office, nearly done with Bags 1, so maybe I'll be able to finish it up today and then get onto another large set (or more likely a mid-size and/or several smaller sets) tomorrow.

It should definitely be either #6561 Hot Rod Club or #1687 ... two of the best set names ever in my opinion!

#1687 looks like it’s from a drug smuggling theme ;-)

I have #1687 also... but's in the garage, and I'm not going to get it and risk falling in the 7 inches (17.5cm) of fresh snow. I'm not sure if the parking lot has been plowed yet.

I'd be interested in seeing people's opinions on the best set names ever. Hot Rod Club and #6538 are both in Brickadelphia along with some other great named sets: Central Precinct HQ, Century Skyway; heck, even Dolphin Point from Paradisa is a good name. I feel like the set names these days don't have that grab factor that older sets do - Ice Station Odyssey, anyone?

Curious to hear what people's best set names are.

Reception of the set itself was very mixed--I think mostly because a lot of people wanted something like Death Star 2 that was a model rather than a playset--but Betrayal at Cloud City is a great set name.

I think #6076 Dark Dragon's Den is one of the best sets ever, and the best name. I liked the alliterative names they used to do so often.

Speaking of set names, one point I found quite interesting when I started looking into it is, the very creative names that some sets had in the UK compared to relatively mundane names in the US. Case in point, the Spyrius line...

    #6835 - US: Saucer Scout | UK: Zap 5
#6889 - US: Recon Robot | UK: Cybernetic Soboton
#6939 - US: Saucer Centurion | UK: Sovek
    #6949 - US: Robo-Guardian | UK: Might Mogul
#6959 - US: Lunar Launch Site | UK: Station Xenolith 6

A favorite site of my kids and I when they were young was the Random Set Name Generator on lugnet...
    https://guide.lugnet.com/fun/namegen/
Some favorites that came up today were :

    Secret River Alienator
    Alpha Centauri Rally Crane
    Riptide Robo-Fury
    Sting Ray Spy Shanty
    Passenger Predator

...ALL of which I would like to be made into real sets!

I shared an extra #75551 set with another AFOL so we could both build all 3 Minions. Only required about EUR 4 extra parts from B&P, mainly part 6303438, which is exclusive to this set in this colour.

You might use a “build video” to see how to get past the tricky parts...

I think I prefer the brighter green on the original. Also looks like it could do with "something" between the front boogie and rear drive wheels to fill the void.

Reaching the last step of this section of the build felt like quite an accomplishment... So many tiles!

I had the chance to finally break the seals on my #75255 Yoda on Saturday. It was a lot of fun to put together and see each of the "panels" finalized before being attached to the central inner structure. It was fun to add it to my shelf next to BB8 and the Porg.

After seeing someone post a picture of the "UCS" scale characters, I decided I needed to get them all (sans the original Yoda). I've just finished BLing the R2-D2 with a couple of part swaps, snagged D-O a few months ago, and am picking up The Child character today. Can't wait to have them all lined up!

Built #6398 from 1993. This was during my dark ages and I’m not too sorry I missed the early post-smiley minifig heads. There are a few good ones (the prisoner and the “chief” below are fun IMO, plus the pirates) but others are not great (the ones on the left below). I have a couple other 1980s police stations in the bins to be sorted so I’ll get them all together for a pic once done.

I got the Rat and Pig as GWP, and when I finally got around to building them, I decided that I wanted the other three too. They are built using a combination of Spares, BL and BnP. I changed the eyes of the rat to make it slighlty less rat-like and more cartoony - plus it fits in better with the rest.

    #1687 Midnight Transport

This has to be one of the more theme-unique sets from Classic Town! I love the whole vibe and especially that black/red/yellow color scheme!

Also added #6038 from my huge pile of old Lego... Cool to see my son actually seems to like looking for the parts from the pile about as much as building the set itself (as opposed to daddy... ;))
