    Well, it's that time of year again, and I really need to start thinking about what I am going to do for my Winter Village MOC. I am thinking of doing something along the lines of a live nativity with kids in costumes and cardboard cutout-looking animals, but I am not feeling very inspired about it. If someone could give me a few ideas or suggest something better, it would be much appreciated!

    I have designed an Audi R8 Quattro in scale 1:8. It has 4wd with centerdifferential, or Quattro, as Audi call it. 
    It has steering with HOG wheel. 
    My car has 2416 parts. I have designed it in studio bricklink and made instruction.

    Just a quick question but have you checked if all the parts are available in the specified colour? The reason I ask is I don't remember part 18944 (3 on the bonnet and 2 on the rear wheel arches being released in Red.

    Anyone remember Lego Rebrick? It was my introduction into the online FOL community and where I fist began to share my creations. I was looking through some of my old photos, and found a whole bunch of contest entries that I made for a Brickheadz contest on Rebrick. 5 years later, I am still quite proud of them.     Annoyed by the space in my CITY street between the #10264 Corner Garage and #10255 Assembly Square I had to do something. The space for a while held a 16x32 baseplate as a sort of street but I finally got around to doing something with it.
    Not totally happy with it as am some what constricted by what tiles I have on hand. Sooo, should I reduce the center line in the street to a single row of white stripes? The road is dark grey right now as I don't have enough light gray to make it match the corner garage road surface.

    If I reduce the center line by one I could put a single line along the Assembly Square building which would be a but more realistic than having the road go right up against the building. Any thoughts on  how to do the zebra crossing effect on the crosswalk?

    I should probably switch the mini and the hot rod but at least they fit on the road.

    hmmm ... wonder if that garden strip could be 1 stud wide and have some 'ivy' (using branches) climbing up that wall partway. That blank wall kills the appearance of the CITY street on that shelf.     Even a couple of #30225 16x16 baseplates with roadway could be used and then a tiled zebra crossing. I'm doing that for a couple of one way streets with a raised zebra crossing/speed hump over the studs on the main baseplate.

    Hmmm ... I may do that for the zebra crossing or something like it. I pretty much have to stick with the 16x32 strip and no street front. I have very limited display space and the CITY modulars are on the best one, a shelf that is about 4 feet long and 12 inches deep. I have, in order from right to left, the #10243 Parisian Restaurant, the townhouse from #10270 Bookstore set, #10255 Assembly Square, the street space, #10264 Corner Garage, and #10270 Bookshop itself. These hang over a little at each end but fit well otherwise.
    So I have revised my street space switching the dark and light gray spaces as I realized I was not properly matched to the existing sidewalk or automobile paving space in Corner Garage. I also dropped the center striping down to one row so there was room for a one row wall and garden area against the rather bare looking Assembly Square wall. I am still not happy with the zebra crossing and will consider maybe something like what you showed. The Mini fits beautifully on the street but the hot rod is a little wide. I have some motorcycles and/or bicycles that might look better there. Do you think this is an improvement?

    Yeah the wall looks good with the ivy coming up, breaks that big flat space nicely.
    I think a bike or 2 will also help camouflage the width of the road so not to over crowd it but keep some movement and interest.

    Also just a bit of OCD, put the clock pole on a jumper plate to have it sit across both sides of the center lane, evens it out.

    OCD or not that is an excellent idea, I was not thrilled with the clock ending up offset a bit from that center line but never thought of using a jumper plate.
    Does that look better? The clock is lined up with the center line and the hot rod removed. I've put the police motorcycle in for now.  Somewhere around here I should have the parts for a non-police motorcycle or two. The larger trike cycle from El Fuego is too big across the rear wheels, just like the hot rod. I have a pair of bad guy motorcycles from Piggsy's Food Truck ... maybe one of those chased by the police bike? That would certainly give it some story!

    Finally finished both ends of my Diagon Alley. Shame since it will be boxed away to make room for the Christmas tree and all that soon.

    could do a bit more with the Gringotts door and pillars, but maybe save that for the next time out.

    have to say as a street it is massive...

    Lego DNA:
    Hi Everyone!

    I wanted to show you all a science-themed MOC I made: a detailed Lego model of
    the DNA structure with the history of its discovery (pictures added). The DNA
    structure is based on a platform with 2 science labs and 4 scientists (Rosalind
    Franklin, Maurice Wilkins, James Watson, and Francis Crick). The labs also have
    2 camera microscopes used to take images of DNA samples, as well
    as other laboratory instruments, e.g. Erlenmeyer flasks. The set aims to promote
    science and honor the scientists, e.g. Rosalind Franklin. The famous Photo 51
    image is also included!

    Details of the actual DNA structure include:

    • Complementary base pairing of the 4 bases (Adenine (red) with Thymine (green), Guanine (blue) with Cytosine (yellow)) (In the middle of the strands)
    • 2 Hydrogen bonds between Adenine-Thymine pair, and 3 Hydrogen bonds between Cytosine-Guanine pair
    • 2 Helices wrapped around each other
    • A Phosphate group (yellow) at each base level
    • A change of 36° every base turn

    I have designed a Ferrari Testarossa in technic scale 1:8 it has 2900 parts
    It has gearbox, independent suspention, steering with HOG, retractable headlights etc...
