Grabbed the Darth Maul microfighter from Amazon UK as my three year old has decided he is her favorite character. Should be a good first set upgrade from Duplo for her. Glad someone still had it for sale at retail price.

US S@H has it available for backorder to ship within 60 days. If that's not the case in the UK, maybe it will be soon?

#75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers! I paid $31.99 at a local hobby store. Between 2000 and 2008, I spent many thousands of dollars there for 12" action figures, and they gave me 10% off for being a regular customer, so I don't mind paying a couple bucks extra. Their Lego prices are RRP to 10% or so more, with CMFs being an extra dollar.

I hate to prematurely celebrate any used sets I've bought online until I actually have them in hand and inventoried, cleaned, and reassembled... but, I believe I should have the last Guardians of the Galaxy set I need on the way, along with a couple more Pirates items (a certain comic book...) to mostly wrap up my initial wave (1989-91) collection.

I have broken my LEGO fast for this year of 2020. My boys and I have been building GBC(s) and have been quickly using up our Technic pieces. Instead of bricklink orders, I have decided to leverage eBay. I have purchased multiple copies of the sets below:
    • #42082 - Lego Technic Rough Terrain Crane
    • #42110 - Technic Land Rover Defender
    • #42083 - Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron
    • #8110 - Mercedes-Benz Unimog U400
    • #42054 - Technic Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC

Successfully picked up Diagon Alley at the LEGO Store today. I would have ordered it online, but I was afraid that the Hagrid & Buckbeak Brickheadz would get crushed underneath the weight in transit.

I ended up ordering the clock tower and Gwarp set to get the GWP. Now I need to see if a family member will swing into a lego store for me to get the polybag GWP.

Just picked up the NES and BB8 sketch for myself and a grip of Harry Potter sets for the kid from the LEGO Store. First time I'd been back in the store since Covid.

Got 2x Bespin Duel (1 for me, 1 was a hedge but will be a gift to a friend and her son who are big SW fans).

My wife surprised me with the Razor Crest (yes, that's what the box really does say). Then we went to the local Lego store to get the Hogwarts Clocktower, Student Accessory Set, and the Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz and poly bag GWP. Wife surprised me again by whipping out her credit card faster than I could get to mine.

So I guess technically I only bought the Bespin Duel.

I was in Target this evening. They had Harry Potter series 2 CMFs, about half a box. I only really want Moaning Myrtle, so I risked feeling packets- third one seemed to be Myrtle- and it is. 😊 I've read only the third HP book, then years later saw the first two movies. But I have #4768, #30407, #40289, #75950, #75951, #75952, #75955, #75945, and all 22 of HP CMF Series 1. I want Moaning Myrtle because the actress, Shirley Henderson, also did the voice and some of the puppeteering for Babu Frik in The Rise of Skywalker. I just need a Lego Babu Frik!

Was thinking about making a S@H order to get the Monkie Kid poly but decided I would be better off waiting until the bigger/better winter promos. I will end up with 3-5 of the main character minifig most likely so not worth going out of my way for.

Wanted to order the new AT-AT with my vip points so I could get the new GWP. It's sold out. :-(

Ordered the new Hidden Side Prison instead. no points used so they are still waiting for an AT-AT.

You're going to pooh-pooh the Marvel CMF series with 15 different Iron Man variations and one Outrider, aren't you?

    Blah!

Sh*t! Seeing this, I just remembered that I redeemed for the fountain back in June, but I never actually ordered it. Well, that was a waste of points. :/

It's the same box as they use for the buildable red brick promotional item. The "cover" that you see is actually the instructions, which are just placed into a slot on the front.

My most recent purchase is a S@H order for the Cantina--shocking, I know. I wasn't going to do it until a discount next year, but I caved for the lightsaber and because the set really does look great. I threw some VIP points at a $50 voucher and the Creator Expert Fountain, so I will get that set as well.

I haven't used any vacation time this year because all of our trips have been cancelled. I'm going to have a LOT of time off in Oct-Dec. I finally have a completely empty table for building in our bonus room, so I may finally get to the MiLF. The Cantina will be a nice complement to that.

More importantly - why do I care?

I guess it should have been MilF... but if you're commenting on that abbreviation... yes, it's funny in a teenage way. But it is a simple and humorous way to distinguish the UCS ones from the system scale ones. :)

You care because it makes all the difference for whether the set is essential to own for completionists. It's the UCS debate all over again. And I suspect people like you thrive on such debates.

But to answer the first question: It does not say Master Builder Series anywhere on the box, but the press release for the set announcement did call it the first in that series.

    #75270 Obi-Wan's Hut
    #10700 32x32 Green Baseplate x3

Just need to get #21163 The Redstone Battle to bring myself up to date with Minecraft sets.

I'm about to get a set that was never released in Singapore. There's a local seller who has it for 70 SGD but I can get it for 10 less — including shipping! — via Amazon (sold and shipped by Amazon US). Based on its US MSRP of 50 USD I estimate its hypothetical local MSRP to be 90 SGD, even though 50 USD converts rather handily to 70 SGD.
Only problem is, given that it's a region-exclusive set I care about the box, and while the prospect of getting a North American box for the set is cool, I'm not sure if the risk is worth the $10 savings. A lot of people have had horrific experiences buying LEGO from Amazon, but a lot of other people have also had perfect experiences every time.
Should I just go for the $70 one for peace of mind (and a European box with punch tabs I can bypass with a knife I guess), or am I overthinking the risk with Amazon's shipping? Anyone else have experience ordering LEGO internationally from them?

Uh, to be clear, what I care about is that the box arrives undamaged, not so much where the box was made. The NA vs EU thing is just an added bonus since Asia Pacific generally gets EU boxes (and for some reason the EU box for this set is exclusively punch tabs). Based on the photos provided by the local seller (more expensive) that box is fine and I can pick it up in person, hence my "peace of mind" comment.

Wegmans (regional supermarket chain) actually has some decent clearances, lately they'd been putting out sale signs for only a few percent off but some 30% off including #75965 which I'll get for a Potterhead cousin (and #75945 which I may have already given to said relative)
