    @awahl211 I really like your layout and your future plans for the sidewalks. I'm glad to see that you've included a helicopter as well - once your lighthouse is built just past the police station your city will be complete.

    Yeah, the eyes needed some work. It was difficult at such a small scale, but I finally found a more realistic solution: yellow 1x1 round plates with holes inside orange 2x2 round plates with holes, with a black 3L bar through the middle:
    I plan to make the mouth section removable so you can have an open or closed mouth.

    Just finished the Speed Champions Ferrari.  Anyone else noticed that the roof doesn't fit when the driver has his hair on?

    I did a very similar design when I expanded the pavement around my Palace Cinema. Managed to get a couple more of the Hollywood star 2x2 tiles to complete it. We used 1100 2x2 tiles on pavements in a street smaller than yours!

    Guess I should put another order in! I didn’t even take the other side of the street into account when estimating the number of tiles needed (facepalm).

    why did i stop? you ask? well i been building for 12 hours.
    well i did catch some good sleep waiting for amazon to Deliver it. now i need more sleep :)
    build sofar has been fun.

    i payed £325.80 for my one.
    and yes it is  worth the price tag.
    it's got over 4000 parts you get 2 Hubs and 7 Motors
    (to buy just the Hubs and Motors from [email protected] you pay £75 euch for the Hubs and £25 euch for the Motors)
    what i will say is shop around for the best price you can find.
    for me that best price was amazon uk on a 5 mouth payment plan.

    Built 75892 ,detail and build was great but stickers for small pieces look bad and obviously so , some build parts like the spoiler  and rear diffuser section aren't well held on so it's a display model instead of play and a pitcrew build instead of wind tunnel would have been better

    Rebuilt #9398 with some speed mods found on YouTube.  Doesn't really make a difference; maybe I need fresh batts.

    took a break from piecing together sets from the second hand lot bought a week back or so and cracked the seals on the crocodile locomotive. Got the stand built along with the center section. love it!

    some kind of all-terrain mining rig from 1984's Technic/Expert Builder Idea Book #8889. The rear assembly is supposed to be a folding drill but it doesn't work very well & the 21-link chain kept falling off- I subbed in other gears to tighten the slack & switched the links around in different configurations hoping they'd stay together better but no dice. The steering seemed goofy too. As always I followed the steps to a T & even rebuilt the drill assembly 3x but IMO the whole vehicle isn't designed that well & I owe that to 1984 Technic tech.

    *I dont have the large foam wheels so I used newer ones; I prefer this look.

    Following the top tip re Smyths from @Brainslugged and a jaunt to Ipswich this morning I’ve just started #70838 and loving the scaled down versions of ice cream cone and queen W.

    Trying to think now of another set with minifigures or mini dolls where you don’t get anybody to assemble in bag 1.

    I finished building #75284 Knights of Ren Transport. The pros: I now have a complete set of the Knights of Ren. The cons: it's not a very good set. It's on the low side of okay in my opinion. For the price, not really worth it, but it is what it is.

    Currently on bag 6 of #75288 AT-AT, which is a model that I've been really looking forward to buying, to add to my relatively selective SW collection.
    I even purchased a couple of extra Snow Troopers off BL before it turned up, so that I would have a small squad to put in it. In fact, I may need to get a couple more at some point, to populate the two remaining seats, for a total of 5 sitting and one on the speeder bike.
    So far, I've really enjoyed the build, although, unsurprisingly, the 4 legs are proving very repetitive! ;-)
    Oh, one last complaint: Blue technic pins!! :-(( ;-)

    Akiyuki is a genius. This is the smallest of the 8 modules currently built, but my favorite so far.

    Akiyuki's Catch and Spin Robots module is what got me interested in GBC.  I was hooked after building it.

    I finally opened and built #21317 Steamboat Willie last night. I have a fun time building it and seeing it all come together. I also love how colorful the inside is as much as how monochromatic the outside is! It was a fun build and looks great on display!

    I am rebuilding all my modulars, after storing them and not touching any of my Lego for nearly six years. I started with palace cinema, and I am now onto Grand Emporium. I am dissapointed to notice discolouring on my GE bricks, it has only been built once. Wonder how it happened. It will be interesting to see if my other modulars have gone the same way.

    Yes on white fence pieces, part no 3185, but also on some of the light grey bricks used for the walls.

    Received and built #6270 yesterday which marked the last primary set I needed to get to complete the 1989 Pirates lineup (not counting the fact that I have #10040 instead of #6285). Now I just need to get the rest of my display set up nice and neat and I'll snap a new picture of it.

    Just finished the 75293 I-TS Transport and I really like the look of this set.  It has some interesting construction techniques resulting in a very sturdy, satisfying build.
    They overlooked an apparent street date and went ahead with setting the shelf with the home price tag and two sets.  I courteously talked them out of one! ;o)
