Hey, I still need that... wait, wasn't TRU bankrupt and closed down in the States?
Hopefully this means there will be Thanksgiving and Christmas vignette sets this year, as well.
Pre-2013: chunky characters somewhat haphazardly scheduled
Starting in 2013, a regular 6-set / 5-holiday cadence emerged (Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas & "Winter")
2013: a mish-mash of vignettes, a heart and a pumpkin, but an increase in volume;
2014: characters;
2015: vignettes;
2016: characters;
2017: vignettes;
2018: Brickheadz;
2019: Brickheadz;
2020: First 3 sets (VD, Easter & CNY) were Brickheadz.
Switching gears mid-year is unusual and it will be nearly 3 years since the prior vignettes. 2019 "should have been" vignettes and there was a lot of moaning about "more" BHZ. Then this year started with still more BHZ and the thought was R.I.P. vignettes.
But here we are! I'm excited for (at least 1) more vignette(s)!!!
Well, I'm happy to be wrong in this case as I love the vignettes!
I figured it would happen, but it still warms my heart :) I'll be in the Disney Springs flagship LEGO store in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping I can pick up both of these awesome sets.
Just found the picture. Meh... It's nice to have them back, but can't say I find this one very appealing.
