The Roller Coaster was also a corporate decision....it either stayed regular price or went on clearance from $54 and $35...and once it hit clearance...it's up to the stores monthly allowance of "discount" money on where and how fast they decide to mark things down further. I believe its corporate that decides the first two mark-downs, after that it's a crap shoot. All that depends up the size of the store and how well the store does $$ wise.
I was more or less referring to the expensive sets that used to start off at 50% off and lately that starting margin has gotten smaller.

High school = $75

Stunt Truck = $19
Shrimp Shack = $25
Train = $49

Wow, cool! The bus isn't available around here. Target lists the train for $55, maybe Walmart'd price-match? https://www.target.com/p/lego-hidden-side-ghost-train-express-augmented-reality-ar-toy-train-building-kit-70424/-/A-75667055 Forgot to add, I DID get the train for $55.
