I've been re-arranging my displayed sets so that I can have a permanent Pirates layout and I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along now!

Nice! I could almost hate you for snagging the Barracuda ... I do wish TLG would make more mid-range stuff especially non-car sets!

^Nice build. Coincidently yesterday I was looking on Bricks and Pieces for the shark that comes in that set. It's out of stock. They do have that hull for sale though.

Wow we paid $16 each for the pair.
Yeah my son wants the new Great White shark too! We're using the most recent design (seen in Brickbeard's Bounty). We need a shark head (part 62604pb01) if anyone has one lying around- they ain't common & they ain't cheap

The Pirates sets here were short-lived so we've moved on to Divers, building #6441 Deep Reef Refuge.  However we just got Disney+ today; my tween boy binged The Mandalorian & now wants the Slave I built.

An array of these and you've got a wholesale bathroom showroom MOC. I'm seeing similar type builds on friends as that's where my Daughter is leading me lately albeit in a smaller scale. Nice job

I completed @BenBuildsLego's Fellowship of the Ring skyline last night and very happy I am with it.
I did have a small issue with the right-hand side Argonath figure, as the helmet wouldn't fit correctly with the beard, but the simple solution was to put the head / beard combo onto the model and then just place the helmet on top lightly. Lovely model and I'm looking forward to trying the next in the series!

Did you find any parts that were particularly difficult to source or were expensive? I'm putting together my list of parts I don't have in my collection right now and haven't moved into Bricklink with it yet.

There was one that was not so easy to source from the UK, so I had to get them from Europe, however, I see that it is easily available in the US. You may find other parts are more rare, but probably unlikely, given the number of BL sellers in the US.

    The part was:

    https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3046a&idColor=86#T=S&C=86&O={%22color%22:86,%22iconly%22:0}

It wasn't expensive, however. All other parts were easy to source, either from spares in my own collection, or from BL sellers.

I am going to slowly start gathering the parts for The Two Towers from what remains of my spares, before hitting BL at some point. I'll update this thread on how that goes, if anyone's interested.

Built a couple box cars to go with the #30575 polybag.  Next a tender and a caboose.

Ahem, I think I went a little mad yesterday. I *was* planning on taking a breather before jumping back in, however...
I gathered all the parts I had in my spares for @BenBuildsLego's The Two Towers skyline and whacked the rest through BL and ended up with 6 orders for all the remaining parts, plus a few other "wanted" items. Nothing seemed difficult to source, rare or expensive, which was a relief. Also, all parts were sourced from UK sellers, which helps with the postage costs, of course.
Now, to curb my impatience and wait for the orders to arrive!
Oh, to make this building-related, I also had been getting the bits together for @veyniac's micro PoBB and here's the result:

I have had to make one small change as, for some reason, I received two "Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 4 Sides", instead of "Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 2 Sides, Opposite" in LBG in one of my BL orders and didn't notice, so the half-buried statue head is slightly different. In fact, I think I prefer it this way, as it adds a little extra texture, so will probably leave it as-is.
I have built the sails, but will leave it in this configuration for now.
Again, a really nice little build and it looks great!
My only minor criticism is that the build for the stern of the ship is *very* fiddly and not very robust, as it kept falling apart, due to the sides only being held on by a single SNOT stud, however, once in place, it won't need to move. I'll see how it holds up, when I get round to assembling the ship.
    Thanks @veyniac !

Seals cut on #10277 bag one is the track display base. Step 12 is laying sleepers, not sure I've used so many pieces in a single step! 28x 1x4 tiles. 56x 1x1 tiles.

Quiet Saturday in with the kids due to the weather, found #40409 in my stash of recent orders so decided to have a little build.

I wasn’t impressed with this set, but it’s been in the build pile a long time. The $4 polybag brought more joy.

Decided to tandem build the ends of #10277 yesterday, was quite fun gathering double the pieces for each stage and production lining the side builds to add on.

Starts off with a pair of chassis that you add the front floating wheel set too.

@Speedman29.  Looks like there is the possibility of the train derailing on regular track.  Jang did a video of the crocodile fix.  It’s really easy.

I’m glad too.  The Emerald Night was the same way for me.

We ran it last night with five wagons behind over points, round curves and S bends and it never derailed once. The issue seems to be if the track is the old metal topped 9V style and its uneven. When I can clear a space in our lounge we'll build a bigger layout on the carpet and see how it goes.

#80104 Lion Dance. This is just beautiful. Not counting the minifigs and the minifig legs on the lions, there are sixty-three, yes 63! printed parts and no stickers. I don't mind stickers, but it's still awesome. And five lions! If it had only three, I don't feel that it would seem lacking or incomplete.

#80009 and #80007. I've read complaints about the prices of the Monkie Kid sets. IMO, the prices of the sets are reasonable for the number of pieces, features, etc. It's just disappointing that the least expensive set is $35.

Just spent a couple hours trying to build a figure out of a boombox piece. The legs took forever to finalize, but at last- a Boombot! I wish I still had the gold-topped mic, but oh well.

I've finally been able to collect all the elements I needed to build the townhouse side of the Bookshop modular as a 3 story in cool yellow. I eliminated the crawl space and put a toilet and sink under the stairs on the ground level. The second story is a kitchen/eating area and the attic remains a bedroom.

Very nice! Better than the original in my opinion.
