Well, I decided to pull the trigger on #75278 D-O. Found one on eBay for just about 30% off list price. I'm sure I could have waited for a better deal, but thought it worth just going for it. Now, just to find a #10225 to complete my collection!

Store shelves around me are mostly bare, so I’m attacking my want list on eBay.

Just finished my LOTR/Hobbit set collection today. Woot!

Evidently I am buying #75317 The Mandalorian & the Child.  I had three orders pending to qualify for certain promos.    Didn’t think they were supposed to ship until next month but all are in process.
Is anyone else seeing theirs in process?

Just ordered Crocodile Locomotive from Amazon in the US, sold by Amazon. Didn't expect this set to show up there so soon.

Cancelled my Amazon order as the Crocodile Locomotive just came back in stock at the LEGO shop. Finally used my $25 worth of VIP points.

For my first LEGO purchase since lockdown, I finally picked up #75249 at Target. Their regular price is 20% off RRP, which makes it reasonable in my opinion. I even built it! Very interesting build with some great greebling in the center section, but the way the engine booms are attached is pretty flimsy.

@Cymbeline.   Thanks.   Turns out that sets are in but still won’t ship until Aug 1st.   The ‘in process’ is just to pre-authorize payments.

Decided to pay my local LEGO store a visit for the first time since lockdown. Surprised to see the crocodile locomotive, barracuda bay AND the haunted house all in stock. Was told they just got them in last night and didn’t even know they were getting them. Couldn’t justify getting all 3 sets but walked out with this:

After a multi year break from moc'n, I am making slow progress on a small to medium size castle.

Edit: Oops. Thought this was the building thread. I actually have not purchased a set since the January 2019. That was #10264

I just bought a lighthouse set on purpose. The recent Friends ocean rescue one was -40% which is a rare level of discount to find in BG. My soon to be 7 year old has had her eye on it since it came out last summer so this will be a fun surprise for her come birthday time.

Have my first actually "buying right now" in a little while. Stopped by my local Lego store (North Point Mall, GA) and picking up the Tree House. They had a few in stock.

They were relatively well stocked in general. Of the sets I've been tracking on S@H: No Downtown Diner, Roller Coaster, Disney Castle, Bookshop, ISD, UCS A-Wing, or Hogwarts Clocktower, but they had Assembly Square, Corner Garage, Tantive IV and a couple Death Stars. They said they had not gotten any of the SW helmets yet at all, but did have the Iron Man one. That's all I really paid attention to.

over the past week. i have got/on order. from Amazon.

#70419 Wrecked Shrimp Boat £13.00 (down to £12.00 with £1 off drom No Rush offer on DVD we got 3 weeks ago) (order on no rush, added £1 off offer did not work, can not be assed to phone amazon to sort it out.)

#60253 Ice-Cream Truck £12.00 (when i 1st seen this set i know i was going to get it. just no at full price, at £12? is just the right price for me.) No Rush add £1 to use later.

#75957 The Knight Bus £20 (down to £18 with save up 2x £1 no rush offer) 2nd saved £1 came from a non lego order that we needed. (this said it Qualifying for no Rush at payment but did not let me pick no rush shipping. it will not get to me to wadnesday any how so we see if the offer trips or not.)

for anyone doing the maths there. yes that Knight Bus was a 48.6% off. 50p away from the magic 50% off.

turns out when you buy lego. with a headache, and know there no point in ordering next day shipping. you end up saving more in the long run.

btw i am not the one who pays for Amazon Prime in my household, the one who is payed for that got it for Amazon Fire TV. to watch Amazon Video. the free next day shipping is just a bonus. and if waiting a little bit to get a little bit more off them lego set's all the better for me.

^Funnily enough I’ve just ordered the Knight Bus myself, having sworn to myself that the only HP sets I was going to buy were the Brickheadz. But then I’m a bus nerd as well so that price sold it to me.

Mind you, I also got the big buildable Hedwig a few weeks ago and just love it.

Attempted to buy #75222 this weekend on Bricklink but order was cancelled (seller had sold already on another site). It didn't connect until recently for me that this had already been retired, long after it was too late to avoid resale prices. I'm not willing to pay more than maybe $450 and resale prices are generally well above this at the moment for US and Canada.

Just got the dots big bracelet pack. I thought it would be a fun activity to do with out of town family coming to visit for my bday. other than that,  whole lot of nothing. Just waiting for the Haunted House to come back in stock on S@H

Just got Tantive IV at my Lego store. Asked about the christmas tree GWP and the rumor that some stores had the Nutcracker for when they run out of trees. They did have some, so he grabbed a nutcracker from the back for me. I have a tree already, but hadn’t gotten the nutcracker, so that was a nice score!

Procrastinated about ordering the Treehouse. They ran out of the Gingerbread house GWP so that made it easy to not blow the money right now. Glad there is really nothing in August in the way of promos that interests me much. So for now, I'll be holding out till the August double vip points event and see if there is anything I can't say no to back in stock at that point.

in the mean time, I did get the Death Star Cannon set from Walmart and my Crocodile Locomotive shipped! So that's cool.

The only thing I've bought lately is the Friends Jungle Cubes except for Emma's as I can't find it anywhere.  Couldn't find anything I wanted on S@H before they ran out of the Gingerbread House GWP which I already own anyway.  If they don't get some new sets in stock soon that I'm interested in I'm going to go crazy.  I'm really waiting for the HP sets to release here in the US but I really want to get them at a discount so I'll probably be waiting a lot longer.  Target has the Friends Jungle sets but I know they will have some sort of promo on them eventually so I'm resisting paying rrp.  My local Walmarts are oos on the Hidden side sets I still want at the reduced prices or they haven't reduced them yet.

@panchox1 When is the Double Points offer in August?  I resisted back-ordering the big sets I want because at those prices I need to get double points on them.

I went to run a quick errand during lunch today. I happened to check the Lego aisle, oddly not originally on my agenda. I saw the Mandalorian BHz and a new box of the latest CMF series. I then remembered a gift card to the store in my wallet. I ended up grabbed the BHz set and two CMFs - Llama and Pinata Boy. They were $5/each, otherwise I would have grabbed a couple more that I want. But, after the gift card, it was only $2 out of pocket. Felt like a great purchase!

After procrastinating it all summer long, I bought four 12 gallon plastic totes to expand and reorganize my storage.  Afterwards I had two slightly smaller totes of a different model and two slightly smaller cardboard boxes left over, so the storage volume now is nowhere near 48 gallons greater than the previous storage volume.

They've got multiple options to get bulk bricks also.  Some nice deals if one was interested in a random bunch of brick.  Also some bundled Xtra options.  If they had a smaller option on the minifig bundle I might be interested but that's way too much $ for me to spend on unknown minifigs.  Remind me I said that when I buy a full box of the HP CMF's.  Looks like they've included a lot of the pricier accessories going by the pictures.

It’s been weird. After taking a long hiatus, I’ve been on a bit of a splurge lately. Is it because of COVID?

It started with the Creator Townhouse, and the Cafe/Toyshop. Then I got Downtown Diner followed by the Spider-Man crawler with Sandman (bought it for the figs), the AT-ST with the Mandalorian, and a few Minecraft sets for my kids for rainy days at the lake. I also pre-ordered the Super Mario Starter set, and finished CMF Series 20. I still want to get Barracuda Bay, the Bookshop, and the newest Batcave, plus all the Clone Wars stuff.

It’s the most I’ve bought in years.
