We will watch The Mandalorian again though, and maybe start some animated stuff as well. We are all fans of D+
Rebels can be watched completely on its own. It does not interact with the motion pictures as closely. Definitely watch TCW first though.
The head teacher is looking to defy the government back to school dates too.
When the Pirate Barracuda Bay set finally arrives (ordered May 4th) we'll all be building it together and trying to drag the process out a bit.
She's the best post-OT SW character to be created thusfar. (The Mandalorian and the Child are gaining, but we'll see how they handle future seasons.) And Thrawn really doesn't count, as he was only has a passing appearance in Rebels.
(I think I would have bought the idea of a Sith Fleet if Thrawn were in charge of it. Maybe.)
Back on SW animated series! I've watched all TCW and Rebels and just started on Resistance, its nowhere near as good and feels very childlike, but its still got some cool ships in. I'm going to try my daughter on Rebels as I really enjoyed it.
Watched ep1 of The Mandalorian with the rest of the gang on Tuesday - they all completely loved it (my youngest, who is the resident SW fan in our house was still enthralled even though it was the second time around for him) and even the sci-fi-phobe got excited when The Child got introduced. We had to watch ep2 right after they liked it that much.
My eldest said that she couldn't wait to watch the rest with us all, so would be continuing by herself (which is high praise for her, even if it does annoy the crap out of me when she tells me I can't continue a series without her being involved).
Anyway, yeah. Can't wait until they ship The Razor Crest - it's an iconic design.
I’ve only seen trailers so far but looks like the production values for a kids challenge show are very high. It won’t happen (unless it’s a Comic Con 2021 exclusive or something) but I’d love a couple of minifigs based on the new characters. Seeing as TLG are potentially willing to do other edges of the Star Wars universe.
I’ve heard rumours that we could get some more Final Season Clone Wars sets in January 2021 but that could be wishful thinking from the originator more than anything.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been numbed to Star Wars margins, but I fully expected the AAT to be £40 so it’s ‘nice’ that it’s £35, and expected the AT-AT to be £150 so £140 is better too. On the whole the prices are pretty much what I would expect.
On the controversial new Grievous Starfighter, #8095 was about £50 and was about the same size, one less actual minifig (A4-D instead) but had a side build with Grevious’ surgical chair. I’d guess inflation might make that the equivalent of £60 today, but that’s still way less than £75. The irony is that people would probably be fine with that price if there was a new Phase II Cody instead of a random Airborne Trooper, I guarantee the response would’ve been at least slightly different! Lego missed a chance there.
