I’m a bit confused! My local LEGO Store is now open for curb-side pickup. It’s not quite clear how it works. On the store page at LEGO.com it says to contact the store directly for more details. Unfortunately, it appears the store’s phone number is disconnected!
  • bpk2300bpk2300 Member Posts: 248
^Okay, I got through. Now the only issue is they close each day at 4pm. With work, I'll never be able to make it there on time for pickup. So, now I must find a way to entice my wife to make the pickup for me ;-)

yeah, I caved and got a boost set, new in box, for $90 shipped off of ebay yesterday. was sketchy because the guy had loads of them.

Well this showed up a week early, which was nice, with a shipping label from Best Buy. that surprised me as the ebay listing had no indication that it was from there.

Probably drop shipped with a stolen credit card
@panchox1 - 100%. Too-good-to-be-true price? From a retailer? Drop shipped with a stolen credit card. Seller should be reported to eBay. Negative feedback left.

Huh. I didn't even know this kind of scam was a thing. but it makes some sense. Definitely gonna let ebay know.
I ordered the same thing off of ebay yesterday, and I just saw this discussion and I'm a little worried. At the time I figured the seller got a bunch of them on Walmart clearance and still makes a profit selling them for $90, but a scam seems much more likely. My order hasn't shipped yet, any suggestions on what I should do?

Been disassembling and bagging some sets to free up space on my shelves, among them was #75004, and only two dark red pieces broke in the process. Color me pleasantly surprised.

Built a second passenger car from #7597 bought new from Bricklink. The log bricks started cracking(well, 2), LEGO decided to just replace all, just in case. Super blessed by that.

Don’t worry, I make sure all of my minifigs take swim  lessons for safety’s sake... worst case scenario I can send some of my Atlantis crew down to recover any sunken pieces...😉

so here i am looking at my ISS set MSIB and thinking..
WHER IN GOD'S NAME DO I PUT IT AFTER I BUILD IT.
as it is so big for it's part count.
even if i was to put away set's i still can not work out ware to put it. i may have to build it, (not knowing ware to put it.) then work out what i can do. 49CM wide cut's out a lot of my display points. most of my shelving is out ( there full of my Modular Buildings. and the one's that are not are to small.) so i am left with my limted open air display points, places that i have Voltron, Yoda, BB-8, D-O, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty. and so on.
maybe #42042 Crawler Crane had it's day and can be put away, but. i would have to move a lot of set's around, as Crawler Crane fit's in a place that just right for Crawler Crane. and not ISS.
ugg. way is finding room to display set's so hard.........

Looking at the Monkie Kid sets just announced, I’m wondering if anyone wants to split the #80012 Monkey King Warrior Mech set - I love the building and the “civilian” minifigs but not super interested in the giant mech or the villains. Going to try to find someone to split this up with. Hopefully in central Indiana to skip on postage, we’ll see.

Just about to embark on breaking down #70620 Ninjago City, the last of my big sets being disassembled and boxed for storage. And frankly it’s a good thing given the complete disregard being shown for social distancing at the sushi restaurant.

I’ll look forward to rebuilding it one day, don’t know where, don’t know when.

Suffering with too many ideas and too much time to research them! We're watching lots of different programs at the moment and each one inspires another LEGO based idea. We want a bigger train layout, we want some cool little easter egg builds in our street, we want to build some Star Wars MOCS, we want to complete the SW Rebels set collection....I might just make a list and throw a dart into it to decide!

Had a missing piece today. 2nd in the last 6 months. Ah well. Told CS about it so hopefully the replacement will be on its way soon.
Not that that has put me off buying more Lego. Filling out the birthday list tonight. That Monkie Boy mech is on it along with Haunted House and Barracuda Bay.

Having serious Series 3 flashback. Bought up 36 Series 20 in the past three weeks and still haven't found a Drone Boy, Green Brick Costume Guy or Pea Pod Girl in my orders. I got six Pyjama Girls, traded one for a Pirate Girl then got four Pirate Girls and Five Space Fans in the one order of 20. How is it possible not to find or receive at least one pea pod costume darn it?

And I didn't get 5 Super Rangers, only 4. I want a Sentai Team and I need a 5th Ranger to make that work. It's nice I found a place that wasn't limiting the number of items per order, but I kind of wish they'd be a bit more practical with where they pick up their packs from.

My status is incredibly annoyed.  I sold an unopened Medieval Market Village on ebay a few weeks back.  Hermes have just confirmed they've lost it.

It was fully insured, but it's not about the money.  It's the fact that some toe rag has stolen such a wonderful set.  May they burn in hell.

It's all being sorted through ebay and the insurance.  What really narked me was the response from Hermes.  The parcel is lost, apologies for any inconvenience.

That was it.  That was their response.  A shrug of the shoulders.  No promise to investigate, or reassurance that I'd get my money back.  I'll stick to UPS in future.

    status:-
trying to workout how i fitted 16 set's in to my display space.
when i only took down 4 set's. and still have room (i think) for 4 more set's.

let's me give a run down.
set's that i removed from display and unbuilt:-
    #70627 Dragon's Forge
    #70668 Jay's Storm Fighter
    #60050 Train Station
    #75139 Battle on Takodana

set's i have built and put on display:-
    #75255 Yoda
    #75275 A-wing Starfighter
#10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander
    #21319 Central Perk
    #21321 International Space Station
    #21037 LEGO House
    #75975 Watchpoint: Gibraltar
    #75974 Bastion
    #76898 Formula E Panasonic Jaguar Racing GEN2 Car & Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY
    #75278 D-O
    #75973 D.Va & Reinhardt
    #75258 Anakin's Podracer – 20th Anniversary Edition
    #76895 Ferrari F8 Tributo
    #75248 Resistance A-wing Starfighter
    #75945 Expecto Patronum
    #75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack

Set's i have yet to Build:-
#75244 Tantive IV (the place i am going to display it in, is the same place i am keeping the unopen boxed set's, so it get built last.)
    #76896 Nissan GT-R NISMO

Set's still on order comeing soon to my backlog :P
#76899 Lamborghini Urus ST-X & Huracán Super Trofeo EVO
    #76897 1985 Audi Sport Quattro S1

so i look around My Bed Room / Lego Room / Video Games Room (at this point it more Lego room, i think only 20% can still be called a Bed Room, 15% can be called a Video Games Room and the other 65% is my Lego Room.) and i think. i did magic... i made yet more set's fit in to this Over fulled room.... and then i think ~"HOW?"~..........

    Hermes...

    AAAAAAARGH!
Ordered some pieces from Bricklink from a seller in the Czech Republic about two weeks ago. The parcel made it all the way to the UK without a hitch, not one hold up, via Packeta. My parcel was handed over to Hermes at the weekend, and assigned a new tracking number, all fine.
My parcel was out for delivery today, it will be with you between 8am and 12pm. Great.
    It's been delivered!
    No it hasn't.
    Here's GPS proof!
    No it isn't.
    Okay, online automated assistant.
    Hello, my name's Holly.
Hello, Holly. Here's my tracking number.
Okay, your parcel has been delivered. Goodbye.
    No it hasn't.
So I called. Your parcel has been delivered. Goodbye.
No way to contact anyone at Hermes who I can ask, so I go out door-to-door in my road.
    Knock! Knock!
    Social distancing observed.
Hi, I'm your neighbour, Hermes claims they've delivered a parcel to me, but they haven't. Their online tracker says it's been delivered to our road. Might have been thrown over your gate or fence by mistake, would you mind checking.
    Sure!
    Thanks.
No, sorry buddy, nothing here. Good luck finding it.
    Cheers.
    Hi, I'm your neighbour.... x30ish
    No luck. :-(

The parts I ordered are pretty tricky to find hence buying them from Czech Republic. First World problems, I know, just really frustrating and disappointing.

Back then to the long drawn out search process of "this store has this", but "that store has that" and "this seller does not ship to you", or "this person hasit but they're blocking you because they're a mental who couldn't accept polite constructive criticism", and "here's the nineteen stores you can get the eight lots you are looking for :-)".

    AAAAAARGH!

Not after sympathy or help etc. Just needed to vent. Thank you.

Depends on what your local courier is like. Ours is excellent and works really hard in cases like this. If you don't know who it is, there is usually a local group on Facebook who will tell you if you ask. I loathe Facebook, but sometimes it has it's uses. Often see people asking on our town group for this reason. Worth a shot anyway.

It's much better when you have a photo of the package sitting on your neighbor's front porch, and they immediately deny having the package.

Then that person's spouse overhears the conversation and brings it right out.

Yes, I will be aggresively blowing my lawn clippings into your yard.  And when your recycle bin comes tumbling down the road - I keep it!  (Aggressively passive-aggressive!)

Actually, I won't be doing that - but I'll strongly consider keeping it before returning the bin.

I feel your pain @Mr_Cross Need a small pile of parts for a MOC (£15 worth) found them all with a BL seller in France, contacted him and he was business as usual with the warning that shippings takes a couple days longer than normal. Ordered late April and the order was marked as shipped the next day. Fingers crossed I thought I'd be building the end of the week....its now three weeks later and after a couple of ignored emails I finally get a response saying he actually posted it May 5th and gives me a tracking number, this shows it appearing in the French postal system May 5th and thats it. Its not even left the country two weeks later. I'm hoping they are just very slow.
Its annoying though as it was the only seller I found with everything I needed. Ordering from the UK I would have needed five different sellers with five lots of postage. Its not the end of the world if its lost or never arrives as I can get a refund and just give up on the MOC.

I don't think I'm going to build it this time, as I've already done it twice before. It's the third time I've opened one of these, but this time the minifigures and Smaug are mine to keep. I was after a lot of the sand green parts.

I just put in a BL order for some CMF series 20 figs, to start putting together #40109 Mini Cooper Polybag and also a load more parts for @BenBuildsLego Fellowship of the Ring skyline, which I think is incredible, along with all his other skylines.
If this goes well, I'll definitely get going on TTT, RotK and TH as well.
I haven't bought the instructions just yet, as I am getting all the parts together first, but hopefully will be able to do that soon.
Other than that, I ordered #31078 Tree House Treasures from Amazon a few days ago, but it has got lost in transit, so I'm waiting for a new one to be shipped & delivered.
