I found one in step 57 of 4504 Millennium Falcon
    https://www.lego.com/biassets/bi/4249049.pdf

The other two sets of instructions use a different part, which I found after fighting with the parts for 30 minutes

Not the biggest of issues, but here's a pic of the Easter Chick Brickheadz and spare parts.

I got a "spare" of the medium azure 1x1 round plate, but none are used in the set. Suck it Lego..... I win this round!

The parts inventory page for #21117 Minecraft The Ender Dragon includes two trans red 1x1 round plates, and they are included in the set, but they are never used. My boys and I have put this set together several times and are always left scratching our heads at the plates. They aren't even used in the extra design suggestion section.

I don't think that's it. I was assuming it's showing that now you've finished it, you can take the roof off, store the canopy inside and replace the roof.

Yup, that’s obvious now I’ve bothered to have a proper look! In which case, equally stumped on the ‘error’.

In the new White House architecture set, the section of the instructions labelled 'West Wing' actually builds the East Wing, and the section labelled 'East Wing' builds the West Wing.

One in the new Destinys Bounty set in the instructions bag 12 is listed twice. Right after you finish bag 10 it says bag 12 instead of bag 11.

In the instructions for #70317 the sword in the parts list has a blue tip and a grey handle. The model shows a grey tip and blue handle (as it should be):

42113 Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey  was incorrectly manufactured with an official license making it a modern war machine instead of as a genric tilt-rotor aircraft, leading to the recall of the product.

What's the time in this build? About 9.25?

Yet look really closely and it is about 10 past 6.

This is another one that was pointed out somewhere about five years ago and I had forgotten about.

Compare the shoulder of the promo image to the box art. It looks like they did a new render for the promotional image but accidently moved the arm. This is still the main set image on brickset and on bricklink!

Also saw this one on the BL forum a year or so ago.

In the instructions Catman has brown shorts on ...

Whereas in the minifigure they've been pulled down to reveal his undies. Or maybe they are just brown boots.

So the Trolls aren’t immune to this problem.

#41252 has you stick a musical note on a non-existent stud...

It it stays stuck on nothing for the rest of the booklet.
Maybe you are supposed to rub the piece on your hair so it can stick by static electricity?

Just been parting out 8 copies of #21158 Panda Nursery into my Bricklink store, and whilst 7 of the printed cake frosting pieces came in white as it should, one came printed on a pearl gold tile.

hello all, id like to recount some of my early recollections, i can remember that some of the first light and sound classic space sets were held back due to production problems, the metro park multi story carpark had to have the lift re designed, there are i believe there are two versions of this set. i also bought a technic universal set back in 1989 and it had an extra page added to the instructions due to a print error.
having said all that, i have only ever had one error n a production set, i bought the re release of the metroliner and it had smoke coloured glass in stead of clear. i rang lego and was promptly sent out the correct parts.
i also have the guarded inn re release and i only got one horse.
i guess errors are going to crop up with something as complicated as a lego set.

Another error was in the Elrond poly bag. He was shown with a long cape, but given a Hobbit sized one. LEGO sent out long replacements if asked.

^ yes, very interesting article! My #75212 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon was short one "plate 4x6" in white, and had an extra "plate 6x6 round with tube snap", also white. I emailed Lego to report the problem and told them not to send a replacement- I have plenty of "plate 4x6" from PAB, so an extra "plate 6x6 round" was okay with me.

Yeah, interesting that LEGO attributes the lost figures to people abusing the system of replacement parts instead of, what is likely happening more as well, their lackluster security seals on their sets.

I just have to call out though, even though he sounds slightly disappointed in their numbers, I feel like 1000 complains per 1 million boxes sold is pretty fantastic, especially considering, like he said, how permissive LEGO's replacement program is.

But having those would anger the poor empty box collectors since the box might be damaged when opening.

On that note - I've noticed a lot more boxes using the thumb tabs for opening lately, instead of the tape seals; and not just on ones shipped over from EU.

I actually don't mind the perforated tabs; it prevents those jerks from buying sets with rare minifigures; opening the box, taking the minifigures out and then resealing the box and returning the pilfered box to the store.

I think this definitely outweighs any of the cons of switching to the perforated tabs, but also I definitely don't like tearing or cutting the box open directly; there's just something that feels really nice about taking out my pocket knife and cleanly slicing through the sticker seals to start off opening and building a new set.
