@KungFuKenny I have both of those as well! I still need to show off Blacktron, Space Police 1&2, RoboForce, Unitron, Futuron... Then Classic Space!

What, no Insectoids or Life on Mars? ;-) Those were my two least favorite sub themes...

My Insectoids are back on page 151 of this thread! Life on Mars, I only have #7311. That subtheme just didn't appeal to me- plus, at the time, I was buying a lot of Dragon Models' 12" WW2 action figures.

it means he broke into your home and stole all the fruit speads you owned and your future peanut butter sandwiches will be really dry and lonely. Probably.

It's when you wade out into the sea, and attract attention from all the jellyfish hanging around there. Then, when you come back they all follow you home.

Not sure what this has to do with your Lego collection, but I'm certainly quite jealous.

Jelly = jealous in weird text speak. Probably only funny to old farts like me.

What I mean to say is that I've been really enjoying all of the Space collection photos. Especially the M:Tron one as that was always my favorite Space sub-theme growing up. It's the one which I want to start collecting next as I only have the one original set from my childhood, which is #6877. The biggest obstacle to overcome for me is that #6989 is so crazy expensive in the aftermarket.

And all of your Destiny's Child albums.

    If he was ready.

If a Bricksetter broke into my home... he or she would still be there when I got back- just staring at all the LEGO everywhere!

@pxchris I found a few old [email protected] catalogs the other day... the Holiday 1995 one had #6989 with "hurry- quantities limited" or similar. A 1990 set still available in 1995? Oh, those were the days...

MoCs, which I want to share, just not sure they're ready. Here's a bit of the circus tent update for Casey Jr.(along with a bunch of animals). It's taken so long, because the connections are actually quite complex to get right. Now it needs flags, and the project just needs to expire so I can try again!

Thanks! It's part of my Casey Jr. pitch on LEGO IDEAS. And, even though I'm fortunate to have gotten the camel, I sure wish LEGO used exotic animals more, so I hope to encourage them to bring him back.
  • gdr36gdr36 Member Posts: 7
I agree. Since the Lego city jungle subtheme ended we haven't gotten many exotic animals.

This may not count since I only had to stick the heads back on, but I found my Prince of Persia ostriches, while going through my LEGO boxes! Totally adding those to my proposal! Super excited!

I'm getting so much joy out of @560Heliport's vintage Space builds!

I'm currently taking Maze apart. Mr. Catwrangler built it the Christmas he got it, but found several parts missing, and by the time we arranged spare parts from TLG, the moment had passed. Now I've found those again and am dismantling it so I can build it myself.

I'm also going to the attic soon to find my box of Nexo Knights stuff that I want to repurpose for the Plague-Busting Building Competition...

Thanks @catwrangler! I'm thinking of building cockpit modules, like the Unitron ones, in the colors of all the Space sub-themes. And a red/green/white Octan one, just because I love the Octan color combination! Maybe I should MOC an Octan Space sub-theme. After all, they all need rocket fuel, right?

I was actually just eyeballing the Unitron sets today and wondering if that a rabbit hole I want to go down. The thing is, that I know the monorail would likely remain out of my grasp though, so the question becomes, would the completist in me be ok with just the other three sets.

@560Heliport. I found my M-Tron alternate model.  You'll have to pardon the clutter, I've been rebuilding the Simpsons House lately.

@oldtodd33 Very nice! Thank you! I tried to download the instructions, but they don't seem to be available. :( I've just finished RoboForce #2152 and #2153. #2151 and #2154 are partially dismantled but very dusty. I need to wash them first. I love the Transparent Fluourescent Green and Reddish Orange helmets. I imagine the designers: " What would be cool?" "I know! Transparent helmets with opaque visors!" "Heck yeah, let's do it!"

The last link is supposed to have a downloadable PDF - but I can never get theirs to download for me.

I did download all of the images though and put them all into a PDF for myself which I'd be happy to send.

I had no idea how limited in production those sets were... the availability of the sets on Bricklink and eBay is very low. So I have a feeling this is something I'm going to have to watch for for quite a while.

I don't think the roboforce theme compares favourably with the UFO theme, or probably, many space themes actually.
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 3,910
@Fauch But I spent hours washing the pieces and building these! Oh well, I 'm going to show them to you anyway. I really like the transparent helmets and the cockpit of #2154 Robo Master. We got RoboForce and UFO in 1997... A good year, in my opinion!

robo master could actually be a decent blacktron 2 set. You did Spyrius? I think they had some better robots ?
  • vanvonfullvanvonfull Member Posts: 269
I wrote these off until I saw them in action.

A little repetitive to build back to back, but fun nonetheless.

OMG. My son received Apocalypseurg  for Christmas, and he just now put it together.
I am absolutely in awe of this set. It is seriously amazing, and one of the best sets I have seen Lego create. The sheer amount of detail, the size, scope... the angles, the unique use of pieces, the creativity, the characters, Lady Liberty, the fact that it is an all around 3D  experience... Goodness. The set is amazing.  He had a good time putting it together, and we were both highly highly impressed.
