With all this free time stuck indoors, I pulled the trigger in the Cinema Palace on eBay. There is me foolishly thinking I would spend less during this lockdown....
How much was it? I have one to sell (maybe 2) Recently retired modular prices seem all over the place, with brick Bank going for the most, then Detectives Office, Parisian Restaurant and then Pet Shop. The price of the Brickbank is more than I'm willing to spend aftermarket. As nice as it is, I'm no completionist to be spending more than double retail on it. Considering Detectives Office.
I ended up paying 246, but I had a prepaid credit card from voucher as a gift so technically nothing.

^ Where's part when Cuomo and DiBlaiso show up with Commissioner Regan and shut that caffeine speakeasy down!?!?!?

Hmm... Well, my LEGO status yesterday was that I was interviewed by Brickset. Today, my Music to our Ears entry, Worlds in a Violin passed moderation! What my idea is, is that the violin contains all these amazing worlds in these pieces of music. So, a pasture of sheep for a calm piece, basically mix and match, create what you see when you hear classical music...

Over the last two years I've been hovering around the AFOL community whose noticed a lack of activity on Flickr, Brickset Forum and other sites. Have people changed platforms, what happened? I'm curious.

@Adzbadboy I think brickset forum has gone quiet lately because the world has just gone weird at the moment. Did you go to a London AFOLS meetup once?

Not just recently, over the last year or so it's been very quiet.

I visited London AFOLs in November 2017, invited by Tim from New Elementary, I built the log cabin as featured in the article titled: London AFOLs: Real-World.

Ah I still go to the meetups. This months though was done with one of them internet group meeting thingys. Unfortunately I don't have the right tech to have joined in. Hopefully in a few months time we will be all back to normal.

Picked up a copy of Kids National Geographic magazine for my daughter and it came with a free #30361 We've already got and built, so decided to try making something different using all the pieces in the set. I give you a standup Fire Quad!
Bit of fun but I thought I may alternative build a few of our polybags!

@Speedman29 I like to take two polybags and combine the parts together to build something random. It's even more fun if you have two from different themes. Ninjago + Friends for example.

Finished #6274 this evening... What an amazing nostalgia trip this has been for me. It has probably been 25 years (or more?)  since I've had these sets (Eldorado Fortress & the Caribbean Clipper) built both together like this. Pure joy.

I'm going to try to get some decent pics tomorrow of them all built.

I joined Flickr in 2011 but haven't done much over the past years. I find the user interface confusing and I also lack a good photography backdrop. The frequent changes in ownership were also not very encouraging...

It's shot near the river bank, thought you couldn't tell.

Keep thinking about finally building Dorado, but instead I'm breaking the law and shoot Lego in the wild.

I'm trying to be good sitting here at home but it ain't easy waiting on a small LEGO order, two of them actually. I finally got a notice that both are being shipped so maybe this coming week? Two BrickHeadz sets [Goofy/Pluto and Donald Duck, two Mech sets [Samurai and Thanos] and two of the buildable rulers.

In my quest to get more of the modular buildings I currently can’t decide which one I should get next. The Grand Emporium or Fire Brigade?

I finally bought some Lego during the last double points sale. I figured I'd get Downtown Diner because I was afraid of another Brick Bank situation where it would unexpectedly disappear. So anyways, after a couple of weeks of being back ordered, it finally arrived.

Pancakes anyone? My GWP was also destroyed. I've never had this happen from Lego before. It's too bad, because my modular boxes are the only ones I keep.

Yes, actually!  But I acquired the set pre-irrational Charminopocolypse.  I'm sure the set is going for 10x it's prior value due to the toilet paper.

After moving the crane down to my city, it's a bit huge!

The trays lasted until at least 2002- I still have the box and tray for #7153 Jango Fett's Slave I. The trays sure were handy.

I'm absolutely cock-a-hoop about my latest Lego-related purchase...

I've managed to sell a few no-longer-needed non-Lego bits and bobs on ebay recently, so I thought I'd treat myself to this brand spanking new, bona fide, Made in Denmark, illuminated shop sign that I came across a few days ago on ebay.de. Been after one for a while. What a ruddy bewdee!

I'm a bit low on shelf and wall space down in the man-cave at the minute, but I'm sure I'll find somewhere to put it :-)

Ooooo, I'm very very jealous of that. I've been after one for a while but I'm yet to see one for sale. Does anyone know if they come up on a regular basis? Does anyone else produce them?

Perhaps it could be possible to make one?

    Regardless, it's very nice!!!

Despite S@H saying #21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay was on backorder when I purchased it, it arrived this morning along with #40371 Easter Egg and #30550 Easter Bunny promos :)

Really hope to dive into this later today!

I received a text from LEGO yesterday afternoon telling me to reply with FINALE if I was watching the LEGO Master's season finale. In return, they'd send me a code for a free Space Ride set with my next purchase. The codes were to be sent out this morning...but still have not received anything.

Did anyone else get this, reply, and then receive the code?

Well, I got a hold of CS and they let me know the threshold for the Space Ride set promo is $130. A bummer as that was never actually communicated...

I guess I'll have to get my hands on one another way.

Going to a cabin in the woods for a few days, and my wife asked me to bring a set to build (once upon a brick).

Shes only ever built a brickhead, and she’s generally not interested in Lego, so things are lookin up.

Currently hunting for just the red Mini from the SC set #75894. I missed when one of the supermarkets was selling the set at a good discount. EBay is full of the leftovers from sets where people have had the same idea and are trying to sell the Dakar buggy and pit area. I looked at BL, but the mudguards are a bit pricey and not available in the UK. I may just end up pushing the button on Amazon or direct from S@H with some VIP points.
