Yes thanks, just got one this afternoon. Now I’m waiting for the high school to drop. I saw it for $103 at a regional grocery store, but I’m looking for lower.

Need to keep a lookout for that as well. the High School is the only one I need to complete the first wave.

Same for DUPLO, City, Friends, Creator the week of the 22nd

I figure that stores selling essentials will keep selling inventory of nonessentials since they're open anyway. Also, entertainment sellers have been doing a brisk business in stuff to do while cooped up.

I was at target today for groceries, and it was quite busy. I didn’t feel like adding to my risk by spending time looking for lego deals.

Also found #75232 for half off, but what I was most excited about was #21042 for $95.99. Been trying to grab that for under $100 recently. It'll look great in my office!

No deals but #76162 and some other new sets out. That one is reminiscent of #76127

Some Minecraft 15% off, not much of a sale especially on that theme
And they have some Minions sets out
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,354
#76157 on shelf, looks cool, but will wait for sale or S@H promo. Might get it with #76162 for DC/Marvel religious tolerance

LEGO section half empty, maybe coronavirus related supply crunch, maybe the usual clearing out for a wave of new sets

I wonder if stores are just not ordering a lot of new stock...went to a Wal Mart this weekend for essentiels. The Grocery section is stocked, but the rest of the store looks like they are going out of business or something. Have not been to Target in a long time.

I’ve heard it’s a mix of things.  From trucks for the stores full of the essentials and not so much the other stuff. To shipping from out of the States not coming in dew to shutdowns/slowdowns. Also think I read somewhere that the Lego factory in Mexico is closed.

Another user here has found Lego product from Europe (apparently) starting to show up in Target. The boxes have stickers to satisfy US labeling requirements.

Seen that before with imported food/drink like Mexican Coca-Cola but not with LEGO. Makes sense as a way around trouble with the Mexico factory. Didn't see any such sets at the Target near me.
Like packages an odd size in Imperial measure bdcause it's a round number in metric

Most of what is there is regular North America production but most of that has been there awhile rather than a restock and one of the aisles is looking pretty empty

For those interested in other brands, the Iron Throne MegaBloks set is half off

All RRP: At Apple Valley store, the one at Pilot Knob Road and 157th, Friends Jungle Rescue sets- on an endcap between Toys and Menswear; most (#76151, #76152, #76153, #76164, and #76165) of the new Marvel sets, on the short shelves next to an endcap near action figures.
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,070
Not really a deal but Target now has the Friends Jungle sets available both online & in stores.  They are advertising them as exclusives.  I don't know if It's true or just an early release to them.  They are currently priced at regular retail but Red Card holders get the 5% off if you don't want to wait for a better deal.  Unfotunatey they don't have the cubes yet.
  • GrannyLEGOGrannyLEGO Member Posts: 365
Not sure if it was a deal or not but at my local Target here in St Augustine Florida I found #40358 Bean There Donut That for $14.99 and I think the price was $19.99. Whatever, it was interesting finding a set I had never seen before, the box says "Only At Target" (well uses the red target logo instead of the word but you all know what I mean). It was an interesting build and had four minifigures, unusual for a small set?
  • karritkarrit Member Posts: 1,070
@GrannyLEGO They've had that set available for well over a year now, I got my first one October 2018.  At one point last year they were selling it for $7.50 so I picked up a couple of extras because I love all the parts in it.  I'm always trying to find exclusive sets.
  • GrannyLEGOGrannyLEGO Member Posts: 365
Thanks @karrit ... I'd just never seen a set exclusive to a store before. I only got sucked down the LEGO rabbit hole back in November 2019!
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,566
Don't worry about the price. Target is offering $20 off on all products with free shipping :)
Do you by chance mean 20% off?

There is no such Target deal so we've been trolled.
  • AstrobricksAstrobricks Member Posts: 5,566
Target by me has #75249 at $55.99 regular price, or 20% off RRP. I got it for $53.19 after redcard discount. My first LEGO purchase since lockdown!

Dang it someone post an actual Target deal. Surely they are doing some clearance this summer?

Yep, definitely weird since pretty much every Target $ off offer tends to always exclude Lego & no code was referenced for verification.

And $20 off everything doesn’t even make sense.

I've been in three different Target stores over the past couple of weeks and stocks were next to nothing.  No reason to do clearance sales.

I noticed that today, but interestingly, the shelves had already been rearranged, at least in the SW section. Did the reset come early? I didn’t look at shelf tags for evidence of any new sets.

Target would price match Gamestop on a few things if GS had them in stock. Got #75955, this way.

I was in two Targets today. Both have price stickers on the shelves for the upcoming Star Wars sets. (No sign of the sets, though.)

Do they look like they did the reset already? I normally expect that in August, but due to low stocks I suppose they have room to do it early.

Was in my target earlier.  No reset here yet.  All shelf tags were for already released items.  Lots of Smaller sets on sale but not any of the bigger or newer ones.  They had a basket full of polybags including the new

    30385: Super Mushroom Surprise

as well as the Train & Poppy's Carriage.

I went in searching for the Friends Jungle Cube for Emma since I was able to get the other four last week but still no signs of the Emma one.  They did seem to have a little more stock on the shelves than last week.

The Target near me in Allen, TX had all of the new Super Mario sets out including the blind bags.

I picked up 5 Super Mario blind bags this afternoon expecting them to be Street Dated. I wish that I had grabbed a few more at Target's $3.99 price point.

According to the Target ad for next week they will be having "select" sets on sale.  No pictures of any of the new sets in the ad.
