I find the most time-consuming part to be selecting the photos to upload. They should be relevant and not blurry or difficult to discern in any way, after all.
Your photos have been uniformly excellent - thank you so much! (They make me want to visit the museums of Chicago post haste...)
^ I assume you're talking about Park Grades? I don't think you can do that here either.
Lol. Yes, I was talking about ParkGrades. I don't upload photos on Brickset very often but when I do I use Flickr.
I'll see what I can do... our dev efforts have been focused on other items recently, but I'll bump that up our features list queue... Thank you!

Congrats to today's winner (Harry Potter Quidditch Match) - prof1515!

Good luck on tomorrow's giveaway, Quest Against Time (506 pieces)!

Hmmmm... to whom did you pay that -- and the Quidditch Match isn't worth $500! :)

^^ Obviously you don't shop at Toys R Us. ;o)

You can tell the photos that were taken when my camera was low on battery power. For some reason when the batteries are about to give out it scrambles the date and sets it somewhere in the year 2039. Don't ask me why; I didn't design the thing. :-D

^ I couldn't find any parks in the UK on there? Am I just being thick?
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
    ^ Well, much as I hate to criticise a Mod's intelligence.... ;-P
I've been to the US a few times so I intend to review places I've visited. Last time there was no restriction on where entrants were from so I assumed same rules apply - I should probably check though...

This contest is totally unfair to those of us who are too poor to afford to go to free parks....

I'll try and get some reviews up later, would kill for a sandcrawler.

While I'm not a huge park goer, I can't help but support a website that would have a give-away like this. I stopped by almost all the parks in my area and took some pics. (Except the one park with kids playing at it. Not worth worrying parents why a single adult male is taking pics at a children's park.. haha) Hopefully I can get them up this afternoon. I even took a few pics of two unlisted parks, so maybe they can be added.

We don't have many UK parks listed, it is true. However, there is no geographic limit (except where prohibit by law, I suppose) to where a winner can be from... Here are a handful of London Parks: http://www.parkgrades.com/parks/search/all?parkgrades-search=London,+UK&distance=15

Oh, if we can review parks and museums in Britain then I have a lot more I can cover. I took over 11,000 photos when I was in Europe. :-D

Ben, How is the database populated on things like museums? Are there certain types of museums it is filtered on or if something isn't there was it just missed? Just curious because something like the Studebaker museum in South Bend, IN isn't in there or the Lars Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, MA. Just ones that I've been to that I've got a lot of photos from that I noticed weren't in there.
Thank you - I went ahead and manually added the Studebaker (http://www.parkgrades.com/parks/studebaker-museum) and Lars Anderson (http://www.parkgrades.com/parks/larz-anderson-auto-museum) Museums...

Just curious - are the park reviews you're looking for the ones with playgrounds etc? I tend to visit a lot of the bigger state and national parks - for hiking etc. Not sure if that's what your site was interested in.

Thank you for asking! Reviews of national and state parks are absolutely welcome! Museums, zoos, and beaches are also fair game.

(By the way, the "Friends" hedgehog in your profile pic is currently my daughter's favorite.)

*crosses fingers* for City House. Is it weird that I am not here for the SandCrawler? Though it would be awesome if I win it.

    Yay! That's me.

If it'd be easier to save on shipping by combining the Ostritch Race with the Sand Crawler, I would not object at all. Happy to help!
