    What are those even called?
Those have a pretty unwieldy name :-) ...

LEGO calls them "Plate 1x2 W.03.2 Shaft 22.5 D". Oh, of course, those!

^^ Bricklink and LEGO give elements terrible "descriptive" names.
I think of these as Bumblepants' (or swamp monster's) ears.

where did you get a trans clear jumper?

@DeMontes very likely! I just dug those out of my box of jumpers.

@shikadi I have three or four of them. I think I've had them for about 5 or 6 years now. I think I got them at about the same time I got the Trans-clear 1x8 brick and the Maersk Blue 1x8 brick...

Are they all the same part? 3794a, 3794b, or 15573?
  • VorpalRyuVorpalRyu AustraliaMember Posts: 2,318
^ They look to all be 3794a, jumper without groove, it's funny because BrickLink has the years released as from 1978 to 2015, but I recently parted out a few sets from 2017-2018 & I have a couple more in LBG & white...
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Near ManchesterMember Posts: 4,220
They're all jumper with groove, except the Trans-clear one and the dark red one, which are without groove. I have dark red with groove, but I couldn't be bothered digging through my box to find one.

Ahh, except both 3794b and 15573 have a groove :) 15573 has the ability to be centered on a stud from below.

I’m really interested to know where @Paperballpark acquired the trans-clear 2x4 plate as it isn’t showing on Brickset’s database.

Admittedly, they're not available in a set, but are they are not really 'hard to find' or rare. They're expensive, yes, but look to be available in reasonable numbers... should you require more than one ;-)

If I remember correctly, almost all of my rare trans-clear parts were acquired at a Brickish Christmas party, thanks to a very generous member :)

Snapped a quick picture of 4*4 plates while sorting. Haven't yet looked up what I'm missing (or have buried somewhere unsorted)

Why is it that purple alpacas are the only purple animals that know how to line up correctly?

This makes me wonder when the animal rights groups will get on LEGO's backs about this. Why has that evil girl dyed some of those alpacas?

Being a pain again with more questions but..... Trying to make monofigs, if I pick a colour like for example Spring Yellowish Green, how do I check what parts are available in that colour ?

Ive checked @Paperballpark spreadsheet and all parts in Spring Yellowish Green have been available. Checking Brickset the Dr Phosphorus figure has them all but his waist is a different colour and I didn’t think it was printing ? I can’t see any other leg part in that colour on Brickset so am I wrong and it’s just print or is there another site that’s lists more parts that I’ve missed ?

Basically any help on what sites are best for reference or any pointers would be appreciated.
  • PaperballparkPaperballpark Near ManchesterMember Posts: 4,220
I've just looked on my spreadsheet and Spring Yellowish Green has 'Hips' blank (meaning it's not available), and the 'Full' column as 'No', meaning it's not completable...

So no, you're not missing anything, you just misread the spreadsheet ;)

The helmet is definitely a compromise but I don’t think it looks too bad.  Now I’m eagerly awaiting the orange version coming in October...
I think it looks great. If you didn't know you would not spot the helmet easily and what a great display. I love the matching color background!
