Lego Death Star

Hi everyone! For quite a while, I have dreamt of owning the Lego Death Star.  When the new one came out in 2016, the urge to get it was even more surreal. I could never afford it since money is tight, and all my savings money is put into a college fund.  I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the Lego Death Star 75159 unopened for a much cheaper price?

You might be able to find a cheapish version of the previous model that ran from 2009-2015ish. It's basically the same with more dated Minifigures. Search bricklink or brickowl and maybe you can find something.

It is highly unlikely that you will get a new and sealed in-demand set for a much cheaper price. If they were available at a much cheaper price, they would all be gone.

My suggestion would be to monitor your local Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. to find someone desperate to unload one.  They don't come up often, but if you're able to strike immediately - you can score a good deal.

(Or get something very exclusive, and someone might want to trade one to you...)

Keeping it slightly on topic, what are the 'market' views on the old Vs new?
I remember a YouTube video of a couple of girls showing their Lego 'stock' for buying low and hoping to sell high and had a load of original Death Stars, but people commented on the video that they were going to be worth an awful lot less, when the newer one came out.
Did the market change at all, and the new and older one become worth less (not worthless)?

New ones go for about £270-300, pretty much around the old RRP. I doubt they will ever go much higher than about £350 while the new one (or any future new ones) are available.
