[CAN} LEGO at other Canadian Retailers

I thought there might be a use for a discussion on other retailers in Canada that have LEGO for sale.

I have noticed that there seems to be more LEGO showing up at stores like Canadian Tire and Home Hardware in recent years.  I know of one Canadian Tire (CT) store that always has a better selection of sets than the Walmart up the road from it!  My local CT and other branches now have LEGO on the shelf year round rather than just seasonally. Unfortunately this means they aren't marking down and clearing out the stock after Christmas anymore.

This past fall TSC also started carrying LEGO in their stores.  The down side is their prices are more than 20% higher than regular retail and they have also excluded LEGO from any of their recent post Christmas sales.

Has anyone found any good deals at these or other retailers like Mastermind Toys, Indigo (Chapters), Giant Tiger or other smaller more independent retailers?

I wish we had Mastermind here in Québec.
Indigo often has great storewide events (buy 3 get one free and such) that can be applied to Lego, but you kind of have to go to the store on the weekend it's happening to even hear about it. There's one a couple of blocks from my office that I pop into often (usually for books and gifts, but I'll always check the Lego section whioe there). Canadian Tire is a good place to find smaller sets. They randomly slash prices unexpectedly. Jean Coutu stores usually have the smaller summer sets on hand, but they charge slightly higher than MSRP. Occasionally, they'll have a decent sale though.
I rarely venture beyond TRU and the Lego Store, tbh. They usually have what I'm after, and the occasional sale or GWP is a bit of a bonus. I used to check Walmart every other week or so, but the one nearest me has gotten terrible at keeping stock. I never go there deliberately searching for a Lego set because pretty mucn every time I have I've left empty handed.

^ It still seems odd to me now that TRU even would be included in the Canadian stores now.  The toughest part though I always find is that no matter what store, it’s always MSRP.  Even Walmart, which seems to have clearance everywhere else, is MSRP or lately they’ve been trying for higher.

London Drugs used to be a good source for Lego but in my area the stores no longer carry much. They still have a larger inventory on line but I haven't seen a good sale in a while

My local Walmart, in Southern Ontario, has finally started marking down a whole bunch of LEGO to make room for the new releases.  They have clearance stickers on some of the Star Wars, City and LM2 sets.  They have also moved some of the Harry Potter sets to the clearance aisle, but no markdowns yet other than one set.  Most of the markdowns are in the 20% to 30% range.  I found the following yesterday:
    #70841 - $9
    #76960 - $14
    #75934 - $19
    #75259 - $39
    #75229 - $29
    #75254 - $59

It looks like some of the other Canadian retailers are getting their Christmas stocks in place.

Canadian Tire has a lot of new LEGO sets on the shelf, plus some older sets still left over from last year.  The store near me has a bunch of the City and Friends Advent calendars from last year still on the shelf at full price!  I also spotted a smaller Creator set at a Zehrs grocery store as well.

TSC stores or Peavy Mart depending on where you are has #31109 Creator Pirate ship listed in their flyer for $99.99 this week.  I picked one up yesterday and it actually rang in at $84.00 instead! They currently have 40% off toys but LEGO was supposed to be excluded from that deal.

For those with a Peavy Mart (formerly TSC) store near by, they have a lot of LEGO available with pretty significant discounts in the 40% range.  The prices don't generally show on the shelf or on the packages, but do scan.  The biggest down side is that most of their stuff was overly marked up in price to begin with.  The marked down prices are also showing on their website as well.
