About about to start this one with my daughter. Not sure what it’s going to be like. The swan looks interesting.

Just finished a winter roof conversion on #31098. Pleased with the outcome. need to do Emmet's Dream House roof next. But have to get the pieces first...

@panchox1, I'd be interested to see the outcome of the conversion. Any chance you could post a picture of it?

sure, but it prob won't be till Sunday/ Monday as i'm getting ready to leave town for the weekend. I did a simple swap and replaced the roof pieces with white ones, removed the "deer" antlers and added some "snow" to the side with the steps and stumps. I was a few white tiles short so I used a few plates and capped one a trans blue tile to try and make it look like that little area had iced over. Pleased with it but i'm sure it looks pretty amateurish to other MOC and modders. N

Now I'm trying to decide how to add a partially frozen pond area off the side with the little dock. I'm super new to the lego hobby and my part stash is fairly limited.

@brickventuresclassic One of my absolute favourite sets as well, which is on permanent display.
I think you're missing some leaves from the top and a bit of fence though! ;-)

I continued my very selective acquisition of Star Wars sets, with the 20th Anniversary Slave One, which I'm building right now, and really enjoying. Great colours (for Star Wars!), new parts and some interesting building techniques.

good catch @JudgeChuck, thanks, really appreciate the feedback!  That would explain why there’s a lot of extra pieces left, including a dark green brick w/bow (!)  lol ...   I shall review the instruction :)

Building Santas Workshop #10245.  Nice build but the shafts on the sled skis are incredibly brittle. Two separate gold sword shafts burst into pieces when i tried to pull them apart.  And only one extra in the extra parts.  Not a really rare piece but not one i had on hand either.  Silver was available so it will do until replacements arrive.

Just built the U-Wing. Really enjoyed the model apart from trying to apply the two stickers to the giant windscreen neatly. Next up is Krennics Shuttle.

Just picked up Central Perk #21319 at my local LEGO store. They had several boxes so I lucked out getting it for double points. I sat through Frozen 2 today with a six year old and it seems like hundreds of her enthusiastic peers so I deserve a little treat to build tonight. Amazing how I can justify almost every LEGO purchase...

I just finished building #10267 the Gingerbread House. I'm in awe by the way the roof parts went together! This will become a permanent Christmas display for sure. I wasn't a fan of the star topper for the Christmas tree so I changed it but that's just my personal preference.

I have been on a bit of a building spree over the last couple of months

Starting with the tie striker and y wing (see above somewhere) I moved on and built krennics shuttle. Another great and huge build. Those wings!  The Rogue one sets are fantastic. I also built the second R1 AT-ST I had. So now I have 2 to menace the Ewok village.

Then to round out my lambda style craft I built #75221 Imperial Landing Craft. Some nice build techniques, but shame about the gaps. Mainly got it for the sandy stormtroopers. Love them.

At some point I rounded out my Star Wars building with #75209 Han Solo’s landspeeder. A really enjoyable little build. Want to have a go at building some of my own speeders now.

Then I switched themes and built #70618 Destiny’s bounty as I was craving building a different kind of ship, and my son was very keen to build it. I have been looking forward to building it since it came out, but did not realise how much I would love it. Some many lovely little details and such an enjoyable build. I need to figure out where I put the 2nd one I got so I can enlarge it. I want more sets like this. A pirate or imperial boat like this would be amazing.

Then a couple of quick builds with #70610 flying jelly sub and #70629 piranha attack. So many interesting parts, and the goofyness is fantastic. Need to dig out the manta ray to finish the gang off.

Now I was very much in the swing of building and moved on to #10260 downtown diner. I am not sure what I think of this. Maybe it is modular building fatigue, or something lacking in the set, but it just did not grab me during the build.  I love the look of the building and would love to get a second set and extend the diner. But after such an enjoyable build with the bounty, this seemed hollow somehow. I do like the modern printed faces over the classic. Also still trying to figure out where in the line of buildings to put it.

Finally, before parting it out I built #70731 city of stiix. And that killed my building enthusiasm for a while. I got it a few years back on sale as I thought it had some interesting pieces I could use and it looked interesting. There is nothing particularly wrong with the set. It is large with reasonable detail. My son loves it, but to me there is something off about it. I think it is the same thing that generally repels me from ninjago in general. Which is why I was surprised that I love the movie sets. Just can’t figure out what the difference is. It is not just the goofyness of some the sets....

Anyway that is enough to bore everyone with. I have since been having fun mocing and will post about that when my b&p order arrives and I can finish it off.

Currently trying to build the love of LEGO in the next generation.  Grandpa decided it was a good idea for a 2 (soon to be 3)yo & 4yo to graduate from Duplo.  Even if our building skill level is pretty much limited to stacking the bricks, we’re working on it.  Set #10754 for a Spider-Man loving 2yo, & #41168 for a Frozen loving 4yo.  Yeah we’re pushing the skill level a bit, but hopefully developing a lifelong activity.

Building #75964 and #40222 daily and posting it to Instagram.

Day 4: Combining the Harry Potter Advent calendar with the Christmas build-up can sometimes produce interesting results :).

After a Bricks and Pieces order to get half of the parts needed, I finally got to assemble #40139
Very cute build, and to me it's prettier than this year's GWP.

In order to please the people I live with, I am clearing all the LEGO from the upstairs of the house to the basement and building a LEGO city layout in the process.   In between organizing sets, moving all the built sets to the basement, shopping for good deals and finding ways to hide such purchases from the loving people I used to call my family,  I’ve only managed to get maybe 35% of it done.  These people, those loving people I used to call my family, have a real awakening coming lol.   An entire wall needs to come down now.  In order to set up the layout it has to go.  Either that or I need to design another layout.  The wall coming down is easier but the LEGO will get dusty!  decisions decisions....

Years ago, my son got Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, Spaceship #70816. He was pretty young and decided to break it apart several times. After watching The Lego Movie again, he developed a need to rebuild the set. Unfortunately, his method of organizing his collection isn't the best. He wanted to just buy another one. Knowing we still had the bulk of the pieces, we've been re-assembling as best we can. I think we're a Bricklink order away from finishing it up.

Picked up the Overwarch Dorado set. Built the wall and light strand. Added extra lights attached to the wall and stuck it in my winter village gonna fill the little fruit stand thing with presents and add that too. Looks pretty good. May try to mod the truck into a tree delivery vehicle.but I'm running out of space fast.

Finished the Great Wall. It was much more fun to build than Shanghai’s city skyline. The later was a little boring in comparison. I don’t really like the grey of tallest building.

I'm 11 bags into building #76139 1989 Batmobile and it's really cool. A variety of techniques and interesting choices. Nothing repetitive at all. I'm taking my time since it was my last big Lego purchase and I really want to enjoy it.

I wonder if they're using the employee gift as a place to experiment with those features in the instructions.  Maybe those features will show up in more instruction sets in 2020.

I'm building the US Capitol Building. Only complaint is no numbered bags. This set is big and it's taking up the space I usually reserve for loose bricks.
I might buy Shanghai later this week. Plus I'm also waiting for the 89 Batmobile to be bought for me. Just seeing the construction pics a few posts up I'm getting even more excited for it.
