Seeing 4wide takes me back but I'm happy with 6wide and now it's all shook up with 8wide. 4wide fits the baseplates best and 6wide is tight  ,I guess new plates will be made for the 8wide brigade that's going to be the new norm, hopefully that'll make the old plates cheaper

Admiring the nice big box of Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown. At last Arkham Asylum has something worthy to sit next to on the shelf. You know, once I build it and stuff.

Got dragged to Exeter this weekend. A quick google search resulted in visiting a small independent Lego shop called Brick & Mix. Although a bit of a walk from the Town center it was rather nice inside with lots of minifigures for sale so ended up getting a some.

We found that shop as well @Basty , on the way home from Cornwall earlier in the year. Couldn't find anything we really needed on our visit, but always nice to discover a new shop

They had some old sets in there, mainly Star Wars, Medieval village for example but nothing that I’m after personally. But it’s nice to know these shops exist and it’s quite nice from the usually High Street Shop.

Is it possible to buy sticker sheets from Lego? I was looking through B&P, but I can't find them. I built up #31093 to add the ever expanding Newbury harbour, and while it's a lovely little build, it needs some 'weathering' I think. I was thinking the plating decals from #70829 and some knotted wood decals would do the trick.
  • CymbelineCymbeline Member Posts: 565
@klinton I believe that sticker sheets are only available as replacements if there was something wrong with the stickers included with your set. They are not available to buy.

I buy sticker sheets on Bricklink fairly often — usually  they are fairly inexpensive.  I have received replacements sheets as mentioned above but that was for damaged sticker sheets.

I'm convinced I will never learn from my mistakes.
I bought the Tree House today. I also bought a couple of other large sets. I knew when I was having trouble taking them to the register I was in for a bad trip home.  Why didn't I put a set back to make it easier on myself? One of the mysteries of the universe.
If I were a few inches taller I'd be OK with carrying the bags home. But because I'm not taller when I walk home with a large set I have to hold the bag up instead of allowing it to hang loose so my arms are dead by the time I get home. I should have learned by now.
Now I'm just waiting for the 1989 Batmobile to go on sale to VIPs which is soon I hope.

@Speedman29 Wow, I’m surprised that this small set is so expensive right now! Perhaps bricklinking it would be cheaper?

I know! I'm only interested because I want it to go with the logging train made from #60198 I'll have a look Bricklink and see what it comes out as.

I suspect that between the logging train and the recent logging tractor set, people are getting ideas and snapping up any old sets that fit in...

Should I be sounding the alarm that this is some strategic alliance between LEGO and the Logging Industry!?!?!?

They're clearly in the pocket of the Lighthouse and Helicopter Industries, and have been bought by the Corellian Engineering Corporation.

    I'm on to you!

Thanos Ultimate Battle is coming along nicely. Really loving the sales that let you catch up with MCU sets. It has dawned on me however that LEGO did not include all of the on-screen characters in the IW sets. Drax, Nebula, Mantis, Nick Fury... Some of the villains, so many characters absent from the actual sets. Loki, Valkyrie, the Alien Dudes from Thor Ragnarok. It is definitely unfortunate that we didn't get a complete team for that series of sets inspired by the film.

This is particularly aggravating for minifig collectors (like me), that yearn for some re-issues from the first round of MCU movies that didn't have direct tie-ins.  Would love an Iron Monger, Whiplash, Abomination (well, maybe not), Odin, Malekith, Agent Carter...

And Heimdall, for the love of cheese!

I'm sure the upcoming Thor movie will get us a Jane Foster and Dr. Selvig.

I'm surprised LEGO didn't give us 10 years of MCU like Hasbro did, and considering we're getting an entire wave of Endgame sets next year... It seems disproportionate for the amount of characters which exist in the MCU. Unless LEGO decided to package MCU sets under Endgame and will involve the actual Time Traveling aspect thus giving us sets based on First Avenger, Iron Man 1, Thor the Dark World and so on and so forth.

Makes sense, considering the first batch of Endgame sets really didn't have much to do with the plot. (I'm certainly sure I didn't see Cap mowing down Outriders on a giant two-wheeled bike with flames shooting out of everything.) ;)

You must have been in the bathroom.  It was right before Thanos started hitting people with a cartoon-sized rubber mallet.

And after Black Widow teamed up with Rescue to fight the Chitauri.

Hi all.  I’m kinda new here.
S/N is flightrisk.   LEGO addict.  Its been 3 days since my last purchase.

Anyway, my family is demanding that I get a grip on my LEGO problem.
The only problem I see relates to BrickHeadz being inside their boxes. Apart from that, everything seems fine.

Took some pics of a patient room we recently finished decorating at my office - of course I had to find a way to include some more Lego!

Very nice LEGO build.  I like how well it’s rounded out with the train coming out of the tunnel; the rocks and trees in the background; and then the paths, smaller plants and stones out front.  The whole scene seems to come to life and tell a story.  Well done with the mixing of the foliage colors also.

2012 was about the time I discovered the modulars. I bought a few frm the US Toys R Us because the Australian dollar was doing very well against the US. Built them but wanted more. That truck was one of the sets I bought. I also got a garbage truck, ambulance and a Creator house. It was significant as it was the first Creator set to have a mini figure I think. Sadly the battery on the doorbell is gone. This was before Creator covered modulars, fairground rides etc.

    Mmmh Lego Status!?!
Let's see, well that would be among other things: super annoyed, not being able to order anything from [email protected] because their bloody website does not work! Ever since the new lay-out I have not been able to place any order on their site.
I have tried various things this Saturday using different browsers, but to no avail! No success on Firefox, not on Brave, not even on that awful Windows Edge browser. I do not know why every time I try to put something in my basket it says: "sorry an unexpected error occurred. Please try again later" So no double VIP points, nor Christmas tree, no Lego set, and now the one set I tried ordering all day is on backorder, and the other one is sold out.
Ever since their website overhaul, redesign I have reverted to contacting ordering via telephone, but on the weekend that option is not available.
    ps.
Sorry, I don't know if this is the topic to post this, is there some other topic where people vent their Lego website anger and frustration?!?

Called LEGO customer service and was able to get replacement parts for almost all of the broken bricks in my HH. Every year another brown brick or two would break so I am excited to get it fixed up. Unfortunately, they did not have any brown shutters my next adventure will be a Bricklink order. However, I think I will start my WV display first

I've been putting off buying 75248 Resistance A-wing Fighter for a few weeks with the strategy of keeping it as a reward for good work, then moving the goalposts every time I get there, to keep myself from spending the money.  Then yesterday I had to buy plane tickets and pay half of a family member's parking ticket ... so 75248 was my reward for that.  There are some kits I talk myself into that I end up regretting later; I don't think 75248 is going to be one of those.

So I got a nice surprise surprise in my email inbox this AM— my online order of the UCS Y-wing shipped (spent $139.99 plus tax) and not only was the Christmas tree included but the red brick-built brick also... has anyone else gotten this promo for under the $200 threshold?
