When do Ideas sets come to Amazon in the USA?

After an Ideas set is released, how long does it take to be sold at a discount by Amazon in the USA? 21318 Tree House and 21319 Central Perk are not yet being sold by Amazon. I recall seeing Ideas sets at full price on Amazon for a while before finally being discounted. I really need Central Perk for my fiance's birthday which is before Black Friday. I'm wondering if I should buy it from Lego.com using double points this week (or around mid November when they'll surely offer double points for two days). I'm always trying to maximize my discount on Lego.

If you need it _guaranteed_ by a certain date, then get it via LEGO.com.

Yeah, I just love getting my 20% off.  I'll have to settle for double points.  I guess that's still 10% "off"?

Still, the question stands.  How long before Ideas sets get discounted on Amazon?  I need to schedule my purchase of Tree House and Dinosaur Museum when they'll be discounted.  I can be so patient.

I had a hard time finding Central perk. it's currently showing out of stock on lego.com and has for over a month. It was briefly in stock on 10/14 and I luckily stumbled across it. It was showing out again later that day. I also checked three lego stores in 3 diff states and they all said it was super popular and usually sells out the day they get them. thought they would have a restock during week 42 which was last week. Hope you can find one. seems like they will get more before the holidays.

IDEAS sets won't start appearing in other stores or on other store's websites until LEGO can regularly keep the set up on their website. The larger IDEAS sets are often treated like D2C sets, and don't usually show up in stores (unless returned) and don't really show up on other websites until three or so months have passed.

Thanks Penkid11. I'm trying to figure out the formula for when Ideas sets go on sale.
#21309 Saturn V was released 6/17 and I got it 11/26/18 for $80 (34% off) on Amazon. That price was only available for 12 hours, but it was at $105 (15% off) before then.
#21310 Old Fishing Store was released 9/17 and Amazon had it for $130 (20% off) in 9/18. Lego.com offered this for 30% off as a Black Friday 2018 deal for only one day.
Smaller Ideas sets are often on sale at Amazon (perhaps because they're unpopular):
#21313 Ship in a Bottle is currently 20% off 20 months after release and 16 months after being off Lego.com.
#21314 Tron is only 12% off 19 months after release and still on Lego.com.
#21315 Pop-Up Book is 40% off only 11 months after release and still on Lego.com
#21316 Flinstones is 20% off only 7 months after release and still on Lego.com.
#21317 Steamboat Willie is not discounted 6 months after release.
I used to buy Ideas sets in the Lego store because I thought they'd never come to Amazon, let alone be on a discount. But they do get discounted eventually. Now I wait and watch for the deals, even if it takes a year or more. I'll get that Treehouse and Dinosaur Fossils eventually. But Central Perk is a gift that I need now.

Yup, the store closest to me had a restock last Fri right at 2x VIP time.  Was lucky to have caught them as they were unboxing them since I'd been checking online for a while.  I got it literally the day before I gave it as a gift, as intended and planned for over a month.
