Dollar General isn't much different--mine still has Unikitty sets at full MSRP.
I took advantage of the Force Friday offers and ordered #75181 UCS Y-Wing.
I'm really looking forward to building it :-)
First stop was Target. They only had a few of the current series out. The rest were all Disney 2 bags. I was able to find the Dog Sitter, Bear Costume Guy, and Pizza Costume Guy. Struck out on some others.
I went down the road to another store that usually stocks them. I found the other three (Fox Costume Girl, Shower Guy, and Gardener) within the first 10 bags I searched through.
So in one day/one trip, I checked that off my list! Always feels good to not have to panic later.
Hopefully CS helps you out!
So it came home with us.
Only 9 Elves sets to go to have all of them.
I have wanted that Toys R Us truck and store for quite awhile, so thanks to a great trade partner and Bricksetter! As a side note you will notice that Lego continues to discriminate against anyone over 99 years old... :-)
I'm getting out of the Dark Ages, finally. I've bought the occasional polybag every now and then (as well as more than a few small Bricklink orders to finish projects I still haven't finished), but that's about it in terms of LEGO purchasing over the course of about five years.
I've always had a flair for studded-beam Technic, and learned that many of the '80s "Universal" sets don't carry a huge price tag. So, from here, I have 8020 and 8040 coming. 8040 contains pneumatic parts--my first!
I also had to purchase the latest Lego City magazine, as they've got another Space polybag on the front this month, #951911 Space Buggy.
Realistically, that just leaves #21320 Dinosaur Fossils to get from this year and perhaps #70419 Wrecked Shrimp Boat, #70420 Graveyard Mystery and #10267 Gingerbread House.
#75955 Hogwarts Express from Amazon for £50 on 21st November
#71043 Hogwarts Castle from Smyths for £263 on 27th November (Black Friday deal)
#75954 Hogwarts Great Hall from Argos for £60 in the last 10 minutes (another Black Friday offering)
Trying to find 30% off #75953 Whomping Willow and #75948 Hogwarts Clock Tower now!
now the question is how many times did I buy it. I usually have no trouble with lego site, but tonight was a struggle + the extra bonus of windows doing tons of stuff in the background and making my PC lag like crazy.
that right there (in Bold)... MaffyD you jinxed me dam it....
anyhow was looking on Amazon Black Friday Deals and found
#42083 Technic Bugatti for £174.99
to anyone who dont remember, it's rrp is £329.99 that is a £155.00 (47%) saving. on top of this it was also showing up as "5 monthly payments of £35.00"..
i could not say no....
i have looked at this set a number of times and each time the priced had dropped it look that little bit better and shouted at me "BUY ME!" (last time i looked at it it was around £225 or so on Amazon Peime NOW). but paying for it in 1 go was never going to be on the cards :( but at £35 a month? for 5 months? that, i can do. :P
yes i have worked out ware to put it.
now do i build it when it comes? or do i wait to Christmas Day to build it?
I knew I could get to Meadowhall for around 10.30am so decided to roll the dice and hope I got lucky.... and I did! Picked up #76139 and the #40433 GWP plus as an added bonus #30573 Santa, #5006066 Brick Friday 2019, #40338 Christmas Tree and the VIP wrapping paper so well worth the trip!
