I finally was able to pull the trigger on my two most wanted sets #10265 & #10269! Very excited to finally get to dive into those beauties. Also added a small B&P order to it while I was shopping.

Picked up #40368 Christmas Accessories today. The star is trans blue and not a green as it is show on the bag. Must just of been a printing problem.

Only TRU would have a set almost a year past it’s sell by date still on the shelves at MSRP (and it wasn’t the only one, though at least others had clearance tags). Of course because this is a what are you buying right now thread, yeah I bought it.  It doesn’t meet any of my criteria of having buildings/vehicles I can add to my city layout, but it’s Thor.  And well Fenrir should be a cool build.  But between this kind of inventory management, and the wire lock things they ruin the boxes of expensive sets with, no wonder they went bankrupt everywhere else.

Dollar General isn't much different--mine still has Unikitty sets at full MSRP.

I took advantage of the Force Friday offers and ordered #75181 UCS Y-Wing.

I'm really looking forward to building it :-)

I only had my sights set on a few of the most recent CMF series. I ran out at lunch today to see if I could have any luck finding them.

First stop was Target. They only had a few of the current series out. The rest were all Disney 2 bags. I was able to find the Dog Sitter, Bear Costume Guy, and Pizza Costume Guy. Struck out on some others.

I went down the road to another store that usually stocks them. I found the other three (Fox Costume Girl, Shower Guy, and Gardener) within the first 10 bags I searched through.

So in one day/one trip, I checked that off my list! Always feels good to not have to panic later.

Cheeky lunchtime trip to MetroCentre mainly for the Brickheadz but picked up some extras while there. More dogs for my menagerie.

Yesterday I placed an order for the Gingerbread House, the Elves & Reindeer BHs and some BnPs to take advantage of the x2 VIPs before its over. This morning I noticed while adding some other things to my cart (not ready to buy yet) that the Hidden Side Juice Bar was added as a GWP. Wish I had known it would be available or I would have waited. I reached out to CS, we'll see what happens.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,492
^I almost did the exact same thing. I had my cart ready to go yesterday with the Gingerbread House, Elves & Reindeer BHz, and BnP order too. I ended up getting busy during the day and left it. Then late last night I went in to complete it and saw the Juice Bar had added.

    Hopefully CS helps you out!

@Basty Are those 1x2 dark red plates in there? I'd kill to find those at my local store. I've been looking to bricklink the Robie House. It'd take a big dent out of the cost to fill up a cup or two at the wall.

My two year old found a plush unikitty at the Lego Store today and ran around crushing it while singing " Get stuck inside! get stuck inside!" (Her rendition of them Lego movie 2 song)

So it came home with us.

You are correct, they are 1x2 dark red plates. I believe they’ve been on the PnB walls here in the UK for a while.

It's a huge box. it was already in its brown lego package, but the shop decided to then put it in another twice as big package, just so they could throw their catalogue in.

I had a nice surprise on coming back in to town today... my trade from @Switchfoot55 arrived...

I have wanted that Toys R Us truck and store for quite awhile, so thanks to a great trade partner and Bricksetter!  As a side note you will notice that Lego continues to discriminate against anyone over 99 years old... :-)
A couple of BL orders also showed up containing some Space Police, Fabuland parts, and a Belville poly that caught my eye.  I’m always attracted to weird polys and sets and this one has 2 teddy bears in rare colors having a beach party... and a crab with a popsicle!  What more could you ask for?

Bit the bullet and bought the Detectives Office 🕵️‍♀️ and now thinking about doing the same for the Brick Bank, shame they are all so expensive

That Belville set sure has some nice parts! My favorite thing about Belville is the scale of the dolls. They're around the same as 3 3/4" (Star Wars, GI Joe) figures and so cheap, I've gotten in the habit of throwing one or two in a Bricklink order to balance things out.  Plus, build quality and articulation is really good as well.

I'm getting out of the Dark Ages, finally. I've bought the occasional polybag every now and then (as well as more than a few small Bricklink orders to finish projects I still haven't finished), but that's about it in terms of LEGO purchasing over the course of about five years.

I've always had a flair for studded-beam Technic, and learned that many of the '80s "Universal" sets don't carry a huge price tag.  So, from here, I have 8020 and 8040 coming. 8040 contains pneumatic parts--my first!

^ I finally pulled the trigger on the UCS Y-Wing #75181 .  It had been on my wanted list, and 30% off of plus double VIP points and the Christmas tree did the trick!  Now I have to try to conceal the purchase from my SO until after the Batmobile next week... Interestingly, even at 30% off, I still am not tempted by Cloud City..

Its not discounted, but I have a stack of PP cash from various places burning a hole in my account, so Saturn V is heading my way with the freebie Christmas tree and a couple of PF light sets for the grand total of £5!

Slowly whittling down my 2019 "Wanted List", by getting #21155 The Creeper Mine and #75259 20th Anniversary Snowspeeder at good discounts from Amazon. I did remember to use the BS links!

I also had to purchase the latest Lego City magazine, as they've got another Space polybag on the front this month, #951911 Space Buggy.

Realistically, that just leaves #21320 Dinosaur Fossils to get from this year and perhaps #70419 Wrecked Shrimp Boat, #70420 Graveyard Mystery and #10267 Gingerbread House.

I also mulled over whether to get the NINJAGO Dock set. It’s currently $A191 at Target for Black Friday and retails for about $A320 to $A350 and the next cheapest I could find is $268. I don’t think it could get much cheaper so just went for it. They also had Voltron ridiculously cheap but it didn’t last a few hours before they pulled it from the site.

Grabbed a few of the black wheel arches for the mini '89 Batmobile as that is all I need to make my own copy. As cool as the big one is I don't have anywhere to put it.
  • CharmiefcbCharmiefcb Member Posts: 451
I was all ready to buy the 89 Batmobile but I stopped myself. I'll get it after Christmas I think. I have too many other sets taking up space. I need to give myself a month or so to get through as many as I can. I'm going to give myself something to work for. All those sets I bought in 2017 have to be built before another big one can be bought.

so the disney train wasn't on my wish list because of the price, and for 100€ less, it suddenly looks pretty nice...

now the question is how many times did I buy it. I usually have no trouble with lego site, but tonight was a struggle + the extra bonus of windows doing tons of stuff in the background and making my PC lag like crazy.

This is my haul for the month (not including the Hidden Side High School, Shrimp Shack, Stunt Truck, Ideas Tree House, Ninjago Dock, Parisian Hotel and the Dragon Boat Set. Which are all in the post or being wrapped up for Christmas.) I think I’m done for 2019 (and 2020).

Due to other commitments I wasn't able to order #76139 1989 Batmobile until 9am only to find its now on back order and no #40433 GWP.

I knew I could get to Meadowhall for around 10.30am so decided to roll the dice and hope I got lucky.... and I did! Picked up #76139 and the #40433 GWP plus as an added bonus #30573 Santa, #5006066 Brick Friday 2019, #40338 Christmas Tree and the VIP wrapping paper so well worth the trip!
