^You at least got us all the WV set reveal for your birthday. A new LEGO store on top of that? Your birthday magic is magical.

Spent last night continuing the great LEGO room dust! Two more shelves of SW sets, taken off, cleaned and reloaded. Four more shelves to go and then its the Technic shelves and the modular street.

Meanwhile, in Odeinoichus land, the great disassembly for storage project is nearly done. I have officially disassembled over half of my LEGO Collection in storage for better use of space, my entire Kre-O collection minus the Enterprise which I'm still unsure if I want to disassemble or leave on the limited shelving space for display and my complete Mega Construx collection minus the Classic TMNT stuff. I'm getting a nice looking display case for my desk at work so I can put them there without fear of goofing off by playing with toys at work. ;)

All in all I have reduced my space needs for my LEGO quite nicely. Now if I can just get a dedicated display room before I hit 40 maybe I'll have a Great Rebuilding Project come this time in three years. :D

Finally got around to building the used #71006 Simpsons House I picked up ages ago when a friends' son was clearing out his collection.  Around 2/3 done so far; not the most exciting build TBH, but a nice change from the usual Star Wars and Technic that I normally build.

I am tempted to buy Newbury High School. I'm saving money for the new Star Wars sets so it has to be put on hold sadly. Then I have to hope Lego here get them all in stock on release day and they make it through the out for delivery, back in depot, out for delivery, back in depot antics of Toll.

Looking forward to building #70848 (mainly for Disco Benny and Unikitty) and enjoying the “stacked promo” effect...

Looks great!  Did you put those together yourself or find a kit?

Also, should I try to read anything into the relative order in which you have placed the cities? 😀

@KungFuKenny I echo your sentiments! I called yesterday to order some parts to improve Casey Jr., and we were talking for a while, working through my list, when we were done, she wouldn't let me pay, and sent them free!

Not sure what this means... a return to Fabuland?  A new human-Chima mashup?  I’m also confused...

Well, Fabuland is apparently 40, (I missed it by a quarter of that,) so, it's a REALLY weird celebration thing?

I dunno but where can I get a supersized upscaled mug set? NEEEEEEEEEEED!

Sometimes there just isn't a mug big enough for the amount of soothing one needs from a cup of tea but that one the lion is holding might just do it. (Especially after trying (and failing) to be able to use the LEGO website - yet again - since early July).

Its mid September, so obviously I'm starting to think about the layout to run my WV train around the Christmas tree this year! Last year it was a simple loop, but the train really struggled with wheel spin after I add a couple of extra carriages. So I've decided to move the motor to the tender as others have done to put the battery box weight over the driven wheels and push the loco. Spent the evening researching and disappearing down train based rabbit holes!

Rather pleased as the ball joints move better, and stay attached better. Just need more potential supporters to understand that logging in and clicking support means more than linking on some other website.

Have you thought about marketing your idea to groups outside of the Lego community?  It will be hard to garner 10,000 votes from sites like Brickset and Eurobricks alone.  For someone to support this project they would need to be a train fan and/or a Dumbo/Disneyland fan.  Lot's of projects get big pushes of support from fan groups and blogs that feature them.  You might look at Disneyland (and Disney in general) fan forums, model train sites, etc... Just a cursory search pulled up several ideas

Best of luck with your project!

I’ve tried to tease that I’ll be finally sharing images of my MOD of the Stranger Things set, basically the back was absent from the set so I’ve taken the initiative to build my own.

Had a great bank holiday weekend building. My son wanted a few Modulars out and a train track going around them. Then he had the idea of making a town square with the train going through. We then set about to build one and I think it turned out really well.

We tiled the floor near the coffee shop and burger place with a coffee cup and burger/chips.

He`s at a great age now with his creativity! Loving all the different ideas he is bringing.

That looks excellent! You son is on par with or better than most adults!

I had an idea for a circus tent today. Does anyone know how you would flex a LEGO flex tube(like for train handrails into a near-perfect circle?

Find an object (paper tube, doweling, canister) that has the desired diameter you want. Wrap the part around it. Heat it with a blow dryer. Then immediately dunk it in ice water. It should retain the shape you want.

Of course, he needed some help to execute the design, but he is definitely improving. He now says that he doesn't like the big box of mixed Lego because it's difficult to find or not enough of the same colour bricks. Downside is that he raids my sorted Lego but I will get over it. I'm just enjoying the time he's majorly into Lego.

^^^ I was underwhelmed a bit by the set when the first images of the box came out, but then finding out the story behind the photo, finding out about the first 3d-printed piece, and seeing the interior of the build (some fantastic, really creative chair builds!) really brought me around. And even though the 3d-printed piece is amazing... I think my favorite part is the brick-built map.  Really clever design that gets the point across in an absolutely tiny amount of total area.

Yeah, all those little touches make me love the set. The other thing that makes it special to inside tour participants is that this building is now the Lego Idea House, which houses the archive and museum. The vault is right under the building.

On the tour you visit it on the first day and get a little "Lego Idea House" minifigure, so it's a nice link. :)

Made an order on Lego.com a few days ago... “why not throw a few Disney and Lego Movie CMFs in also” I thought...”Maybe I’ll finish out the sets!” I dreamed... then I opened the packs...

I guess I need to brainstorm an MOC that requires an army of Dales now...
