For a find like this I think we can forgive this! But yeah, normally best to use Flickr or Instagram.

    Phenomenal find btw @Shropshire

@Shropshire What a noble thing to do! It's amazing how sets that Lego themselves couldn't easily find were just sitting in a newsagency for anyone to take. How lucky you managed to get them before an unsuspecting parent bought a few for their kid to chew up.

Apologies for pics, didn’t think. I’ll delete some of can and put elsewhere.

they were in the attic, the newsagent was independent owned in Newcastle in mid 60’s was taken over by a national retailer who didn’t sell Lego so it all got shoved in the attic. The owner said over the years the odd item was taken and given to family kids etc. I got what was left.

$20 CIB from my trustworthy local connection.
I'm told it's worth that for the rear wheels alone.

I'm steadily closing gaps in my Dimensions Collection. It wasn't sold in my country (at least not in videogame stores, toy stores, lego stores or other common stores, but from behind the bar of some online retailers (with the not so little price bloated even more)), so I'm browsing eBay. Got new and sealed Fantastic Beasts for 14 pounds, planning to try to exchange it to Ghostbusters or some other sets (already got one FB, it's used (and probably costed more), but I don't care).

Also, search engine in Ebay's very strange. Some sets just don't show – I'm stumbling upon them, while browsing seller's items.

It is surprising what you will find in random places. As a classic Dr Who fan I have learnt that. They always find lost episodes in some garage somewhere.

Well count #4860 as one set I had no idea existed until seeing a local listing for it.  I knew there were pre-Marvel SpiderMan sets (and corresponding pre DC BatMan sets), but I had no idea they bothered to do a couple 4+ Sets, complete with a Jack Stone SpiderMan!  Not a bad way to explore the type of juniorized building they did at the time with panels (and round out my Marvel collection with an oddball) and my city needs a cafe (even if this one needs a bit of MOC’ing first).  Now it was a pretty good deal in it’s own right, but when the seller threw in #8163, well that’s just a good deal!  Not a set I was necessarily looking for, but I won’t turn down an extra throw in.

^ $20.  So not giving it away, but still that matches the bricklink 6mo min.  Not necessarily a set you’d search out, but that’s kinda the price point I’ll throw a twenty at just about anything to experiment with a bit.  I figure at that point, to get anything cheaper, you’re pawing through a bin of who knows what.

^ it was actually!  Lots of dust mostly, just one missing minor piece (a black bumper on the red car). The cool looking printed panels were in perfect shape. Now I’m curious to see if you could put standard window glass in place of the printed door in the door panel. If so I can see bricklinking more door panels to window in the whole building.

Just got a big tote (about 15lbs, guesstimate) and it has a whole pile of classic pirate ship stuff: sails, rigging, hulls, etc. I'll post pics as I sort it

Looks like the Red Beard Runner and the Skull's Eye Schooner are both there. Not sure if all the pieces are there, but the main bulk (hulls, sails, figs) seem to be present.

I didn’t realize there were that many sets that work with the technic guys.  Nice!  I had #8620 & #8660 as a kid, but I forgot there was a copter & a base as well.

@M1J0E- by & large if the model has this seat, a Technic guy can drive/ride.

Oh, & one of those 2 Arctic sets you named MAY be shown soon... ;P

Figured I should pick up one before they get cleared out. Target was resetting the LEGO isle.
What the heck is up with that? That isn’t even a clearance price, and those are all $59.99 around here.

It has happened before where a clearance price gets added to the shelf ribbon as a regular price. I got five or 6 $20 City fire trucks for $5 each a few years ago like this. A week later they had fixed the price back to RRP and had restocked them.

I'd recommend using the Brickseek website to check prices.

Kk, I'm moving to the US now. I never see clearance sales like that here. Like, my local Walmart is still sitting on full priced Jurassic World Brickheadz, let alone drastically reduced recent sets. :/

At least you don't have to start a GoFundMe campaign on Facebook if you get any sort of serious health issue up there! (Yeah I went there and now I will slip out the back door and never look back)

Got 10019 for just 120, missing the instructions though. The stickers are also deteriorated, but can't complain at all for the price haha, considering I got it for less than it went for originally.... Instructions go for like 60 dollars, so may patiently wait until I find a deal on those, too. Will also get reproduction stickers off eBay to replace the old ones. This style of sticker seems extremely brittle.

Yeah they are extremely flaky and don't even look like stickers tbh. I'm going to scrape them completely off and get new ones.

Depends.  If you can't be bothered with the fees or shipping then Facebook can be quite handy for selling.  Haven't used it myself (as I'm not on Facebook), but my wife regularly sells unwanted stuff on Facebook

    Guys. Craigslist is amazing.
Some months ago we got a great lot of LEGO Elves sets from there, when I was really worried about getting them since the prices for the Dragons sets especially are crazy. We got most (if not all of them) for retail price or bellow, it was great. It included 41073, 41075, 41171, 41173, 41174, 41176, 41177, 41178, 41179, and 41190. I think it was around $200-240 for all that, we were stoked. The only issue I found were some missing figures/accessories/creatures, and many of the pieces had this odd white hard plastic power on them, and quite a few of the pieces were cracked. I wonder if any of you know what the deal is with that, oh well. Still a great find.

Looking forward to the reveal!  The only one I had (still have) was #8832 that does also fit the guys.  Oh I see it now.  Yep #8660 was awesome when I was a kid!  And your set looks in perfect condition.  Even though I think I keep my stuff well, after 30 years, the bricks have all yellowed on mine.

@M1J0E- I'm a big fan of H2O2; those particular white bricks sat in the sun for 3 days (much longer than necessary).

Ah, I hadn’t thought there might be some restoration work involved there.  Nice!  Now I might just have to go reread the yellowed bricks thread & try some H2O2 & sunlight myself.
