After my Bricks & Pieces order never arrived, CS sent me a replacement in two batches. Both were dispatched on the same day. One arrived on Saturday or Monday (I wasn't in) and I was worried the other would also be lost. But no! It just arrived today. It's strange how two jiffy bags from the same place can arrive several days apart. But I'm just glad I don't have to ask for a 3rd order!

Practical?  I'm fairly sure no LEGO is the most 'practical' approach.  I like to stay between Ridiculous and Ludicrous.

    (But I've clearly gone plaid.)

I may have mentioned it before, but I do professional firework shows as a part time gig. So, June tends to be a rather busy month with preparations. I'm not sure if 'busy' really accurately describes it or not...

This year has had some added anxiety to it, however, due to some recent LEGO purchases that I'm desperate to build, and a bulk lot that I'm desperate to sort. I can't seem to focus fully on the one without dwelling on the other.

I think it's time I figure out how to bring these two hobbies together!

@SumoLego, in my experience, a hard hat, turnout gear, and a healthy dose of redneckery will usually keep you alive. Usually...

Maybe I'll construct a LEGO replica of Captain America's shield to hold as well. Nothing defeats LEGO like LEGO.

I have been leading a virtual workshop all week and when I am not presenting I keep browsing Bricklink and filling up carts. This is not healthy for my bank account but a lot more fun that meetings. At least until the bills hit.

It is Graduation Party season, and as I stare out my Garagio wondering if it is going to rain on my niece's party...

Do I really want to purchase 10x of the Hall of Armor and begin an endeavour to acquire all of the Iron Man armor?  I know this is a dumb idea...

^ Would be expensive, especially if you don't already have all the suits, but it would look awesome. I have all the suits apart from the NYTF one (not a fan of it), but I've only bought 3 sets, so I'm guessing I'll have to rotate which suits are in our display.

Am I missing something here? Why would you need 10 sets when there's only like 20ish Iron Man suits?

*laughs nervously in I don't think I can afford this*

^Phew. I couldn't have faced the expense of having to track down 70 suits at once, but I'm fine with being bled dry bit by bit as they're released over time.

Waiting for a #75192 to leave the S@H warehouse... Need to reroute the order to a more convenient post office via DHL services to avoid it waiting at the local post office (shitty opening hours) too long.

Watched while my wife built some Friends polys and our 11 year old built #21314 Tron: Legacy. Entertained the baby instead of building something myself, had to make sure the rest of the family is feeding the habit. Plus I have Friday off and Ninjago City still unopened so I can wait...

Just placed an order for a bunch of B&Ps to build the Haunted House. Still need to fill in some gaps with Bricklink but just trying to decide how best to do it since there arent any stores that have all of the pieces I need so I'd have to break it up into multiple orders. Also ordered the Corner Garage since there are double points at the moment.

I've managed to get #10214 Tower Bridge and #70810 Metalbeard's Sea Cow for a good price. Both used, but described as being 100% complete, in excellent condition, built once and displayed before packing them away. Both have full manuals, 10214 has a box, 70810 doesn't. Fingers crossed as I've never bought used before, but prices for either set new are a bit mad, especially 70810.

Plan on building Tower Bridge and displaying it for a while, then using the parts to extend my Hogwarts project, if I haven't dismantled it to build something else in the meantime......

I pulled the trigger on a 20th anniv Scout Walker. Only for the Darth Vader minifig really. It and Imperial Drop Ship seem to be rare as hens teeth here. Not seen in stores and only available online in very limited numbers. Now I await for Imperial Dropship to come back in stock.

Made a quick call to Lego Customer Service to enquire when the 3rd Marvel print was coming out (no details) but they graciously added the 2nd to my order when I mentioned I only had the 1st as I missed out on the 2nd (must've missed the online promotion as only saw people mention here after the fact)...

    What. not even in zoos?

Anyway, you didn't say where the box had been posted from...

My status: trying to stop myself walking down to Sainsburys to see if the bargains mentioned elsewhere have reached Ipswich yet, even though I know I have a Lunar Lander and some other bits arriving tomorrow or Friday.

zoo-s aren't wildlife. And post had context with a previous statuspost. also: parcels from rattlesnake territory to germany are too slow and too expensive to be worthwhile for most new stuff.

...in which case the snake would probably be dead when it got to you, so more of a dull thud in the box, rather than a rattle. Possibly going a bit off topic now - sorry!

And @TheOriginalSimonB - I already have Lunar Lander and Trafalgar Square (amongst others) waiting to be built but that didn't stop me picking up the Lunar Space Station - in fact now thinking I ought to have taken all 3 they had for sale to max out the build!

Just moved house and discovered more loose bricks than I realised I had.  Not that I get to build anything for a while due to unpacking.

Also got into a teaching training course partly due to Lego as a hobby (mocs, running events etc) and my presentation on evolution of minifigs!

So more time to build and display and I can class making gbcs etc as work related.

So frustrated. Spent a good hour filling my bag with a parts order. When I accepted the terms I got a "sorry something went wrong error". Poof! Bag empty.

@Russell844 I always copy the text from the order list into a text editor so I have a copy for when that happens. Has saved me a couple of times. Still irritating to have to redo it.

Forgot to do it on my last order and got the error message and freaked out. But mercifully I refreshed the basket and it appeared.

Is this from Lego or some other site? I've had errors when placing an order recently.  Place order, unexpected error Then one did go through with the unexpected error message so just check your email and Lego account to just in case you order something twice.

What better way to celebrate America's birthday than by building an iconic landmark? Sure, it's in a bit of disarray, but it gives me the perfect excuse to put together the recently arrived #70840 Welcome to Apocalypseburg.

Today the used #10214 Tower Bridge I bought recently arrived. Sender decided it would be a good idea to send the box just wrapped in a bin liner so obviously it arrived crushed. Luckily I'm not too bothered about the box, but why anyone would think that was a good idea I don't know. Contents seem ok, though there might be a wee bit of sorting required!
