@Legopants I ordered it from Amazon Japan too for the same reason and was amazed that it arrived in 5 days. It was in perfect condition.

@Cymbeline - I'm very much hoping for an undamaged box.
The sets were out of stock when I ordered this morning (new stock arriving on 24th May with estimated delivery on 1st June). Already got the other 2 sets, so this one was a must-buy :-) Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Super excited to go to the Lego Store this weekend(It’s a 12 hour drive one way to the closest one). Now to remember to get out and explore the rest of this city and not hide in my hotel playing with new bricks.

Working on a Google doc for my Ninjago City plans. I have over 60 planned buildings on the list and that was off the top of my head. The good news is I already own the bulk of the parts needed but I probably won't ever have all the time I need to bring it to reality.

Well Emmet, I know we're pretty hardcore with the over priced coffee and all but I think it's time we switched to tea. We can save the difference toward a self built vehicle. We'll need to look for some new parts mind you. ;o)

Sure Lucy, I'll put the kettle on. :o)

Huge thanks to @Wicksy80 for picking me up Emmet's 'Piece' Offering poly in Smyths Saturday before last and posting it promptly to me. I couldn't wait to build it and add Lucy to the fun. :o)

Oh geeze. Now I feel a bit shit for constantly complaining about having to go up to Laval (a 30 minute drive to the north shore) to hit the Lego Store. I hope you have fun! :D

I couldn't resist any longer and didn't want to risk waiting until #80103 possibly becomes available in Europe, so I ordered one off Amazon Japan this morning for 10255 JPY, which includes shipping and fees (at the current exchange rate, it should work out at about €83/£73). Very excited :-)
Managed to cancel my Amazon Japan order and will be ordering direct from Lego DE - that'll save me a few quid :-))

Well, I finally finished building LEGO Steamboat Willie as I have every LEGO pieces for the set (there was a lot missing from the last section of the build). I normally would not be so nit picky, but this LEGO set has extra meaning to me. I took "History of Animation" as a college course. Yes, I know the course sounds like a silly course to take, but it does give me a good background that helped with my computer graphics degree. I think Schoolcraft College has since changed the name of the course, but I'm not too sure about that. Anyways, here's a couple of pictures that I did of the finished "Steamboat Willie". (Yes, I did add a light in the wheelhouse of the boat)

I was going to get Lego yesterday but the independant toy store I go to were out to lunch. So instead I went into the games store and bought some cheap games that were on sale and the cashier just gave me two polybags. The designer from Incredibles and a Lego Movie 2 polybag. I have to go back to the shops on Tuesday so Fridays Lego will now become Tuesdays Lego.

I have decided to scrap The Flintstones set from my birthday list and instead add Hogwarts Clocktower (provided it gets released June 1st which I think it is) and the Avengers Quinjet.

Got a pretty decent amount of the Lack shelving in my LEGO room filled up now . Still don't know what I'm doing with the Helms Deep sets as it won't really fit on the shelf at all unless I remove the ramp. So it's on the Kallax shelf for now along with Orthanc.

I am fairly happy overall with the LotR layout for now though. Undecided if I'll build #79017 & #79018 to go with Smaug yet or not.

Besides the large vehicles (will be adding the Mustang soon hopefully) on the other shelves, unsure what will end up living there.

My shooting gallery was marked as shipped yesterday. My tracking has shown Hong Kong, Hungry and even Australia. I think its still not fully been put into the Fedex system.

Finally built #70827 Ultrakatty which had been calling from the pile. That went by far too quickly so I also built #70822 Unikitty’s Sweetest Friends EVER!, #75229 Death Star Escape and finally #30571 Pelican. A nice afternoon!

Got the Helms Deep setup looking good.
Even with the extra minifigs, it still feels awfully bare to me. I really need at least a couple more Rohan soldiers in there. More Orcs as well.

I just built up #70837, and while I love the final build (I think I'll keep an eye out for sales on this one and try to grab a couple more, just to stockpile the crystalline Nexo shields and build up a few freestanding columns), the set is probably the most wonked Lego set I've bought in a long while.

The instructions are absolutely riddled with errors. Several steps along the way have parts magically appear and then dissappear, and then reappear again a few steps later. I've seen this occur in sets before, but never repeatedly in the same instruction book. It's never a massive hurdle (the entire build only took a little over an hour), but I'd imagine it might be frustrating for the kids the set is targeted at. That and the colour saturation of the printing (on the instructions cover and the outer box) is a bit washed out when compared to other sets in the theme.

All of that aside, the actual build is fantastic upon completion. The simple yet ingenious design of the pilars, with the blue crystal plates layered over pastel green and pink bricks, is rather striking. Little extra details like the shaping of the door and the tiny flames compliment the overall rather well. It's certainly one of the more unique models I've ever assembled. There are two functional play features that work smoothly without any hitches. I was really only interested in this set for the included characters, but I've ended up quite liking the model itself.

The character lineup included is fantastic though! Every bag you open has you building at least one new character, with two minifigs, a mini doll, four animals, and the bat version of Balthazar. I think only Apocalypseburg and the Movie Maker sets contained more unique characters, across the entire theme?

I know not everyone is a fan of brick built characters, but I have a bit of a soft spot for them and the designs Lego has trotted out for this theme have all been brilliant. Flaminga is freaking adorable! Eight and Archimedes are no slouches either. Unikitty is here too, with a new faceprint.

Benny's faces are adorable AF (as always), but again he's missing his mechanical arm. He had it for the entirety of the film, save the last act where he was sporting a completely different outfit. I don't understand why it's only included in one set (and the CMF) out of the 25 sets in the theme.

Lucy is another slightly dissapointing entry. I get that reissuing her hood piece was not in the budget for this theme, but her torso is the same one used for her Apocalypseburg look (with the goggles, quiver, and scarf). They created a different print for her classic look wiith the hood printed on her back, featured in both #70833 and #70824. I don't know why they didn't use that here? The inclusion of her washed out hair was nice though, as it was previously only found in the CMF series.

Balthazar is probably my favorite of the three 'proper' figures. He looks great, and has two seperate heads with unique expressions (one for his bat form, but they're interchangeable). I love that the crystal hair is a removable piece (of which there are also two included). Both he and Celeste (included in #70838) are beautiful figures. I really hope that Lego releases the third vampire guy at some point. I didn't much care for these characters in the film, but they make for great figures. :p

I'm pretty happy with this one overall (all of my nitpicks aside). It wasn't high on my want list, but it def holds it's own alongside my favorites in the theme. I rather like when a set I buy for the figures surprises me and turns out to be an interesting build itself, that also happens to include great figures. Hahaha.

supermarket has some #71023 The Lego Movie 2 CMF for $3 - happy I didn't procrastinate too much looking up an identification guide. giraffe man and the 4 wizard of oz ones are definitely worth it at that price, Unikitty definitely isn't (probably because of #41775 Unikitty series). the others are breakeven, and I might want the music ones for my collection

Due to life stuff that's been happening since Christmas I've not had a lot of time for Lego projects of any sort (Only built two or three sets so far this year).

I did however put my mark down for one of the AFOL Designer Program Saloon sets, as I knew I would regret missing out if I hadn't and I'm (Im)patiently waiting for the set to arrive.
While waiting, I've been spending odd moments collecting western themed minifigs to populate the set as it doesn't come with any and they seem to be a bit thin on the ground at the moment in any of the current themes.
Being a self confessed Star Wars Junkie though, I couldn't help but look into making the set my own so had these custom prints made up by Bricksanity.
Very pleased with how they turned out. :)

At long last, I finally have started my Exo Force collection! The big mech has KNEES!! KNEES! If Lego could do it then, they can do it now. The figures are quite amusing, though the hair did not stick well. Was that a widespread issue with those rubber hairs?
