    Thanks, I was looking at it and that was the only function I could come up with but wondered if it might have some sort of track splitting function or something when used in offset pairs.

    But as I said I'm not really a train guy so couldn't tell if it was new or just new to me.

    Pretty useful for Lego themselves I think. They can have a few bits of a track with a smaller train set like this and don't need to double the price with 16 curves just to make it complete. Kids can make their own 'loop' on the carpet.

    My daughter accidentally broke my lad's plane.  Can't quite piece it back together and can't find the original instruction booklet.
    Can someone help and identify the set number for this so I can dl the manual.

    I have a couple more for you guys. #1 and 2 are the same part, in dark brown; the others are in brown.  I'm reasonably sure that these are actual Lego pieces.

    @TheWebExpert1 ; I'm wondering how many non-Lego parts you have that you are reasonably sure they are Lego that you haven't posted? ;) Keep em coming though; we enjoy the detective work :)

    Shib is definitely right on the Megablocks id.  I found two 2 x 8 bricks with the Megablocks stamp on them in the same box.  It's just that when a part fits so well on Lego, and it's in a box with Lego, you naturally assume it's Lego - unless it's DEFINITIVELY a non-Lego part by virtue of markings.

    I have several parts that are stamped "BTR"; as I understand it, these are fake Lego from Russia.  Are they worth anything to anyone?

    ^ Probably not the best way to look at it. If it doesn't have markings, then it's probably not Lego, unless it's a very unusual shape. Those fence railings, ladders etc. are too intricately moulded for Lego - they'd prefer to print the wooden details, if include them at all.

    BTR was by Hasbro if I recall correctly. I find those in bulk lots once in a while. No idea if they're worth anything, but I don't hang on to them.

    Yeah, I found a bit of BTR in a lot of LEGO I got - I just threw them away as I don’t keep anything non-LEGO (guess I’m kind of a purist!)

    Here are some more for our parts sleuths!  The closest I can find for # 5 is part # 4872, which is wrong; the other I've found is part # 30390, which still isn't right.

    Wow. Okay...
    6 and 9 are definitely Lego - the first is an extremely distinct Bionicle mask, and the latter clearly has the logo on the studs.
    Are 2 and 16 multiple parts joined together? 2 looks like it could be an Astromech body with a pin in it and 16 looks like an axle with a black round thingy attached to the end. Might be hard to separate in both cases, but if it's real it should be possible with a bit of force.
    4, 12 and 13 all look like they could be Lego but I can't see anything definitive on them. Look on the studs of 12 and the inside of the clips or maybe under the sticker of 13 for the logo. I'd need a clearer picture of 4 to be certain.
    3, 7, 14, 15, and 17 are all almost definitely not Lego. If they are, they must be one-off moulds from the 90's or something, because I've never seen anything like them.
    1, 5, 8, 10 and 11 look probably fake, but I don't know enough about them to be conclusive. They're all shapes that aren't outside of what Lego generally produces but I've never seen those particular ones. Furthermore, they lack logos where I'd normally expect to see them.

    Well, that takes care of #1, 4, 8, 9, 12, 13 and #16. #2 is a single part; #16 has been properly identified by OldTodd33 as Part #53585.

    That just leaves #2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17 & 18.  Many thanks to OldTodd33, who is obviously a Lego genius.

    I don't believe any of the other parts are Lego but I would like a couple more good pictures of number 2 part. Also, number 8 has been done by other manufacturers so it should say Lego on it somewhere.

    17, 19 and 20 are definitely not Lego. They all look like projectiles for launchers.

    19, I'm about 90% sure is from the Deluxe Brawl from the first Michael Bay Transformers movie line. Unfortunately I can't get at my box of movie figs to verify.

    The other 2 look nothing like I've seen for GI Joe or Transformers projectiles and I'm not sure what toy line would be best to start looking.

    Ok, we're going to assume that #14, 15, 17, 19 & 20 are non-Lego and proceed from there.  Baby Yoda got it right for #2; that pin on the side was driving me nuts.  I just hadn't pulled hard enough.

    24 - lego, or almost identical to an existing lego piece. Don't know exactly what I'd call it though.

    On both those lego bits you should be able to look for a part number (and a lego mark).

    Yep! Also featured in other buildable figure sets as well as #42024 from LEGO Technic.

    Without Bionicle you wouldn't have today's plethora of Lego. Bionicle's success led to Lego getting back from the cusp of bankruptcy and went on to release massively popular sets including the Modulars. : )

    Down to the last four.  I cannot see numbers on these; there's definitely something written on #25, but it's simply too small for me to read, even magnifying it as much as I can.

    The bionicle chain!!  Wow!  I was pretty sure that it was Lego, but Tom79 confirmed it.  I've thrown out the other things as being non-Lego.


    Is there anyone out there who might be interested in these BTR pieces?
