Man, it would be hilarious if that tiny set sold for more than MSRP of The Upside Down.

Wait what, those are stickers? I guess i could justify these insane prices if the two tiles were printed, but for 2 STICKERS? Tjeez.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-4000034-Inside-Tour-2019-Set-Lego-System-House-PDF-Instructions-Only/163780024531

Someone is selling .pdf copies of the 2019 Inside Tour instructions for $15.  This file was available for free directly from Lego for several weeks.  I've reported the listing and encourage others to do the same because this person should not profit from a free .pdf file. It might violate eBay's Digitally Delivered Goods Policy,

I downloaded the instructions when they were shared on the Lego server. Here's a compressed version for anyone who wants it--the original is 90MB and the forum limits uploads to 52MB--and I encourage you share it elsewhere so people don't get duped by this seller.

That seller also is selling some other pdf instructions for other similar sets as well.

^ Anyone want to take bets on that auction being cancelled or the item being returned?

Could be someone has a bootleg, and needs the packaging to pretend it's genuine.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I mean, you can't fault the seller for wanting to make a buck, but it's now entirely plausible for this buyer to turn right around and dupe a would-be buyer with authentic packaging and an inauthentic minifigure.

On a related note, this has got to be the most valuable packaging in the history of all LEGO products, lol!

If you're someone who doesn't open sets... why not save $750? Or use it to impress your friends.
Or play a really, really horrible prank on a child, an AFOL or an unsuspecting Secret Santa recipent.

    -Hmmm-

...quietly considers decades of emotional trauma...

Deciding factor:  Do you have to pay for the therapy?

Obvious edit:  If yes, no go... less money for more LEGO for you!

    £8.00 plus £1.90 postage for a LotR Uruk-Hai polybag.

    PS. Missing the Uruk-Hai minifigure.

In ebay Type "LEGO" in the search field. Then change the "Sort" box to Price + Shipping: highest first.

^I don't know if you saw or not, but this one is LIMITED EDITION. That means rare. And rare means crazy people think it's worth a lot more than it is.

I mean I guess technically it is unique and at the end of the I'd rather have this in my house than a banana and some tape.

Is it possible that the seller isn't actually selling Lego, but something else and the buyer gets a few pieces of Lego in the same package? Add the Lego to your child's collection, and keep the stolen MacBook/drugs/ID/whatever (advertised somewhere else, obvs).

@MaffyD sounds like you've hit the most likely scenario.

My wife just started selling on eBay, so of course the first "buyer" wanted her to buy a $200 eBay gift card and bill an them an extra $200 through PayPal. Happily she asked me about this before proceeding, and has reported the "buyer" to eBay without falling for the scam.

^ I always wonder about some of these, especially the ones where you see “more than 10 available” and “more than 10 sold” at some ridiculous price.  I’d never also thought about it that it could be a legit sale with some illicit goods thrown in.

    @M1J0E
I've had really good luck with 3 auctions like that. Got the Sphero R2-D2 and BB-8 for $30 each, more recently $20 for an Alesis pedal for electronic drums. I expect to lose my money every time I buy one of these, just been lucky so far.

^ true but then you’ve also bought them at a reasonable price. I’ve seen some where it’ll say more than ten sold & the price is astronomical. That’s when I begin to wonder what the scam is. I’ve usually done pretty well on eBay so far though.

I must admit, I had to look at this one for awhile before I noticed something was a bit off...

The best part is the cockpit, for sure!  And that the minifigs look weirdly similar to Playmobil figures.

It's fine, just a bit crinkley, it'll flatten right out!

In other news...someone actually ate the duct taped banana (look it up)...justice is served.

At least you can't...or at least shouldn't...eat Lego, lest you want to be literally pooping bricks.

Up for sale is an exclusive bottle of (cheap discontinued) champagne (sparkling wine) with a (faded, inkjet printed) Lego employee party invitation glued on...

In case the label is hard to read it states “ Harvested to ripeness with a commitment to excellence and fermented with the finest ingredients - creativity, fun and quality”... harvested to ripeness? 🤔

It says Cristal in the name so it must be good, right?  🙂
