^Don't you hide your nice Parms inside a bag of standard Colby Jack? Not only does it keep it safe and sound, it doubles down on the cheesy aroma.

^ Nice haul. #41106 Pop Star Tour Bus is my favourite Friends set and is one of my favourite sets from the last few years across all themes. It's a really solid build and holds up very well when played with by kids.

Last weekend I bought a used Ariel's Magical Kiss, #41052 - 50p from a boot sale. Only thing missing was a bow from her hair. They didn't have any other LEGO, unfortunately, as at their prices I would have bought the lot. From another stall I picked up three Royal Guards (CMF), £1 each.

At target today I picked up two #21041 Great Wall on clearance for $34.98 each, plus got the $10 GC, and redcard discount to get them down to $28.23 each. I had to get an employee to give me the GC because the computer didn’t automatically do it.

Trying to snag a bulk lot today off a local sellers site. Sounds like its around 20lbs and the price is right. However, I'm a bit nervous of the Lego to Megabloks ratio. Pictures are hard to make out much. Anyone spot any gems?

I see lots of stuff that doesn't look like LEGO. I'd ask for more and better pictures- what if all the LEGO is on top, and everything else is... (shudder) who knows what?

I'd consider that an excellent deal! Even without the minifigures, that's a lot of pieces for 40 Euros.

I'm not concerned about the non-building brick items. Those are inevitable with bulk lots. I was more referring to Lego vs Megabloks/knock-offs.

That Megablok purple is scattered around the top layer and the seller did indicate that there is some mixed in.

What has my attention more is the fact this seller said there is a bunch of sets from his Uncle's childhood in there too. I don't know his age (though I think he's still in high school), but older stuff could mean the possibility for some intriguing finds.

I've requested more photos, so time will tell.

I have another find but without manuals and boxes, do you see something valuable on photos? Im not sure if I should buy it, they want me to offer them some price for it because they dont know how much is it worth.

@ersi I'd say $100 or maybe a little more would be a good price for sets like that. None seem to be very valuable and they're used, but they're all good sets (though there is one bootleg).

thank you very much, I have offered 40€ we will see, I think they really want to get rid of it. What is "bootleg" sorry Im really new in lego.

^Off-brand Lego bricks. Kreo, Megabloks, Lepin, etc... They usually are marketed as "Lego compatible" but leave a lot to be desired.

You may hear others refer to them as the scourge of building block toys...

@Switchfoot55 I gotta say though, Mega Bloks (actually, Mega Construx now) isn't all that bad. They've taken a step away from trying to be Lego and have settled into being a line of micro action figures. Yes, they still do bricks, but they are, for the most part, pretty different. The action figures are the main draw.

@FowlerBricks, my son loves the action figures. We have quite a few from bulk lots like this. I also tend to still use the bricks at work for various things. Definitely not all bad. Honestly, my hope for a bulk bin like this is to find a set or two I like, maybe sell another, then repost the bin for sale. I usually end up with a few sets, some minifigs, my pick of parts, and after selling it away, all for "free".

Also, “bootleg” is slang for anything fake, but usually used for recordings of music or movies not authorized by the original artists.

Please consider using the hashtag if you are listing set numbers. It’s a lot easier to click a link like #75207 than it is to open up a new tab and have to type it in the search box.

Nowhere near as good as most of the finds in this thread, but it made me happy:  Been holding off on getting #75975 as the PPP is not great at MSRP, although I like the set a lot.  Between Target having it on sale, their $10 gift card for $50 spent on toys deal, and having a Red Card, I managed to get it for just over 35% off... which at the very least puts it at a very respectable PPP point!

Most recent purchase was 10240, used, complete, for $150 USD. Pretty good, but not my best find. Easily 10123 Boba Fett for 15 dollars would be my best.

One rare, but maybe not sought-after, one I did get was the rereleased X-wing #7142, still new in an open box. Bags are sealed and box wasn't dented or anything. For only 17 dollars.

Edit to add: Am pretty excited for 7264 Imperial Inspection for only 65 bucks, too.

This might be my personal find of the decade!
Set #6378 (which for those who've seen my other posts might know holds a great deal of sentimental value for me and was a set I had just recently re-aquired) with box in decent condition (actually, besides some tape damage  it's in great condition on all sides except the back which is about half torn up), instructions, catalog, all stickers intact and in great condition, and another bonus set #6634, all for $25 total shipped!

    I'm stoked!

Nice!  This set is one of my childhood favs, and I’m happy I had enough foresight to keep all the decals intact.  It still holds a prominent place in my city setup.

Well, I picked up the bulk bin several posts above. It ended up not being 20lbs, but 55lbs...for $40!

Definitely not 100% Lego, but at least 95% if not more. Lots of early Bionicle's, Castle, some Space, tons of Ninjago and Chima, among other treasures yet to be found. My favorite find so far are from some of the original Toy Story sets.

I have several nights of sorting ahead of me to pick through what I want. Then the Mrs. has kindly/firmly asked that I repost the lot for sale to recoup my costs. So be it! I'll take what I like, and resell for what I bought it for. Free Lego is never a bad deal!
