Built the first of my TLM2 sets over the weekend. #70829 is nice and chunky.

I'm horrible about snapping pics while I'm actually building things... I need to change that.

But, I dismantled the Emmet's Dream House model of #70831 last night and built the Rescue Rocket model. While the house was definitely enjoyable, and a really adorable little house, I absolutely love the Rescue Rocket build more!

Absolutely agree - I was intending to just keep the house built and insert it into the general cityscape but actually think the rocket is much more fun - but what's with the frogs in the roof? Did I miss something in the film? Also recently built #70828 party bus - not my usual type of thing at all but really enjoyed it and looks great with fun features.

I am wondering the exact same thing! I don't recall anything in the movie about them. I should have asked Nico (the set designer) this past weekend while he was at Bricks Cascade.

I really like that there are random extra things with the builds, like those frogs in Emmett's ship, the unique character specific buildings in Apocalypseburg, the detaild star charts in Mayhem's ship, ect. It makes the sets feel almost like a director's cut of the film. Little remnants of discarded plot ideas that didn't make it to the screen.

Found some time to finish building #10265 Ford Mustang after I took a break to go see Captain Marvel(!). Really love the stock model, the power ups to customize it detract from the model in my opinion. Definitely my favourite large scale Lego vehicle that I own, my collection includes #10220 Camper Van, #10242 Mini Cooper, #10248 F40, #10252 Beetle, #10258 Bus and #10262 DB5 as well as #21307 Caterham from Ideas theme and several large Batmobiles such as #7784 Ultimate Collectors Edition and #76023 Tumbler.

Not building, but finally dismantled my roller coaster #10261 in hopefully a manor which will make it quicker to build than first time round.

Once it’s all labelled and boxed then I will start on the flinstones set.

Enjoying putting together #10260 Downtpwn Diner I picked up earlier to ensure my copy of the Marvel Avengers Bricktober pack. I do love me some modulars.

Just finished building #70920. A pretty fun little build and honestly a pretty cool mech. However I'll be dismantling it again soon. I really only bought the set for Egghead to add to my 60s Batman set. Haha

Along those lines, I'll probably trade or sell the Condiment King minifig if someone is looking for one.

King of Tokyo is an awesome game. I want to get King of New York as well.
And hey, anytime you're down here, I'd play piano for you. From either of those books. ;)

Another Sunday night building session on the kitchen table. #70830 Sweet Mayhems Systar Starship. Clever cube frame that has curves added to make a good looking ship.

After getting it, and subsequently storing it for the last 14 months, I finally put together #75187 BB-8. Although a bit repetitive, it was a very enjoyable built. The end result was/is a lot of fun! Onto #75230 Porg so BB-8 can have a buddy!

I started building #10265. I bought it on Saturday, with plans to start on it Saturday night. I was too tired, so I was going to start on it on Sunday. Had a home improvement project come up, which I figured would take an hour: 6 hours later, finally finished installing a kitchen faucet.

I only got through bags numbered 1. I hope to make more progress tonight.

Just snagged a #70841 Benny's Space Squad off OfferUp for $5. My day started off grumpy for several reasons. It has taken a pleasant turn in the last 30 minutes.

    Strange happenings at outstation 3Z

I don't recall ever seeing a RED Spaceman torch!

Does this pic settle once and for all that there is indeed a RED spaceman torch for sale back then?

Well... technically I'm not building it yet, but I've been using Bricklink's inventory to figure out which pieces I have in Bright Orange, to rebuild #75102 Poe's X wing Fighter in orange, with Earth Blue and Dark Azur for accents... yep, it's gonna be a 2018 CITY Arctic X-Wing! With a transparent Light Blue canopy from #70835 Rex's Rexplorer!, an Arctic pilot, and instead of BB-8, either the Arctic Husky or CMF Series 16's Wildlife Photographer's penguin. And those Arctic skis on the landing gear. Because why not?

Not referring to the small key chain light but the bigger version LED torch.

I've got the white & blue version, for years people have been discussing whether there is a red one as well, which I've never seen in person.

Could the one in pic a key chain LED? Can't tell from this angle.

A hall of armor for all the Iron Man variants. All of them.
And now I am fighting the urge to do this.  I don't need to collect every Iron Man.  I don't need to collect every Iron Man...

A hall of armor for all the Iron Man variants. All of them. (Totally not my own original idea, was very inspired by other creations)
Each 16-wide base will be modular, held together by pins for different layouts.

    Where's the Toy Fair one?

    Sorry.

you did not win... that bull. man.... that look awrsome...... i going to guess that is was not a full MOC. but a rework of a offcel set that did not get you the win...
that btw look like what lego would make if the x-wing was for ninjago not star wars.
    grate job.

It did have a key chain on when I bought it, if that's any help.  For scale with regular MFs:

I think the theme was mixing up two lego themes. it's mostly a mix of the x-wing, and the destiny bounty and ninja dbx from 2015.

    are those spacemen duplo compatible?

@TheOriginalSimonB, how easy was it to remove the key chain? After lamenting that that the one in the Amazon link couldn't be shipped to Australia, I managed to find a blue one on eBay in Australia & it's now on it's way to me.
  • TheOriginalSimonBTheOriginalSimonB Member Posts: 1,795
@Fauch Don’t know, but now I have an excuse to get the TLM2 set.

@VorpalRyu A few seconds with the soldering iron and it slipped out easily.

That's a pretty nice setup! Where is MK 7? Also, which armor is the MK 45 with the extra armor supposed to be?

Thanks for the clarification, so it's the key chain. I mistook it for the bigger torch version. :-)

Mark VII is in another part of my collection. He was in a separate display and is currently unaccounted for.
That extra armor one is a stand in for his Asguardian Armor he helped forge in the comics and/or an animated show. I also have a Chima axe piece to go with it. I had a lot of copies of that fig, so I figured I'd mod what I can as a Lego purist.

That escarpment is very nice.  I'm still trying to work out how to display the docks, Destiny's Bounty and Imperial Flagship on my nowhere-near-finished layout.
