    Since I'm new on the forum and need to make my first post somewhere, let me just show my singlemost rare set. Won in a local contest, limited to 500 copies worldwide;
That is so cool! Did you open it or did you keep it sealed?
Sealed, homie! Somehow it seems like it'd be a shame to crack it open, you know? I'd feel no remorse about it if it was a retail set, but at 500 copies worldwide.... can't bring myself to it.

Ehh, until you open it, it's Schrödinger's Lego, is it complete, or is it missing that one part only available in that set. It's meant to be built, unless you're planning on selling it on, pop the seals... :)

@Golem25 what did the contest entail?

You had to buy a Jurassic World/Park set (I went for Velociraptor Chase because no way would I ever spend money on the Fallen Kingdom sets) at the biggest chain of toy stores in the country, fill the code on your receipt in on their site, and, in 500 characters or less, explain why you deserved to win one of the 100 sets they had.
I wrote something to the effect of 'As a former professional crocodile wrestler, I am the best-equipped individual out there to give ol' Rexy here a loving new home'.
I think this was actually a great way of giving these sets away, scalper-proof too as you had to rely on wits more than anything. No doubt most of the sets ended up with children, who probably opened them; hence why I'm quite happy to keep mine MISB :)

Some fantastic bargains you've all got there. Although it's making me wonder why I even look in this thread - here's me over in "What are you buying right now?" paying full retail for sets and the only extra I get for all that lot is a sticker book and 3 packets of stickers.

    I'm not bitter though...

Have you ever considered going to flea markets or places like Gumtree and eBay, Bricklink, the like? :)
I personally find them to be rich in bargains and deals, although they are probably not for you if you prefer modern day sets over the bricks of yesteryear.

We're lucky when we can get sets for 25% off RRP & clearance here is usually same as the regular sale reduction, 10-20% off that item. Add to that, if a retailer gets a set as an exclusive, most of them will usually reduce it by $5-$10 just before a sale (they normally have no sale reduction conditions on already reduced items). For example, TRU when they still existed here, got the exclusive on #75205, RRP for us is AU$69.99, each sale TRU had, the day before they'd reduce Mos Eisley by $5.

I tend to buy most of our Lego on sale, but we're lucky that there are a couple of local independent retailers that have good online stores & we also have a few good Lego bloggers that keep pretty good track of sales for all our major retailers, even showing where the best buys are. Might be an idea to take a look around for any local bloggers that do similar in your area.

^ Wow, that is worth bragging about... I felt I did well to pick it up for AU$85, before it retired (RRP was $130 so I managed about 35% off).

Didn't buy it but found this in Costco UK.  (Apologies if already known about).

Retails for £25 so £12.99 a reasonable price on the whole but too expensive for just the brick which is all I am interested in personally.

Not the greatest deal ever, but noticed late last night that Amazon had a few 75% reductions. I got #31076 for £5.88, #41190 for £5.82 and #41192 for £6.32.
Not sets I'd ever normally buy, but hard to resist at 75% or so discount. I'll find something to do with them!

Our local Public Library had this book on the shelf. I was surprised the collectible brick was still inside the cover. I'm sure it won't last long.

Sainsburys were selling this for £8 a few weeks ago...

This isn't really a good find exactly, but one of my cousins gave me a like new #50011 just 'cause he was done with it.

I'd really like to add a copy that to my collection some day. Unfortunately it's a bit harder to come by at a reasonable price here in the states due to the limited release - so I would definitely consider that a brag!

$250 for the lot?! I paid that much for #10243 alone!

This may not be as good a deal as some of the others on here, but I think this was  pretty decent  for £4.70 + postage - some more bricks to use in MOCs for me!

^^ Yeah, I was wondering if that base plate was real lego, but there it is in #6260 and #6265. Apparently it’s a gray base plate colored blue, yellow, and green on the top.

    10 Euros, the lil' Blacktron fella is missing the correct helmet cover and, much to my dismay, the seller (local old lady) got the colours of the sides of the cockpit wrong; yellow instead of the rare trans-yellow. Still, can't really complain at that pricepoint;

Picked up 2 #60137 at my local Sainsbury’s for £9 each. There was no price tag, so scanned it and was surprised at the price. Considering it sells for 17.99

Nice find!  I’m not even a huge classic space guy, but I had as a kid (& thankfully still have) #6954 & #6941.  The ‘modular’ technic pin bricks was awesome as a play feature at the time.  And these actually are nice display models even now I think.

^ it looks like someone gambled and lost. If those figs ended up being worth something, they would have made good money.

I believe the oldest versions were gray baseplates with blue printing, at some point they transitioned to blue plastic for the baseplates.

I found a #21006 White House at a Salvation Army thrift store today for $6. The box is a little beat up, but the instructions are there and the parts look like they are all there too!
After working on it last night, it appears someone built it as far as step 24 and then just quit.

Found #75213 SW Advent Calendar for $7, #60156 Jungle Buggy for $1.50, and #71022 Harry Potter minifigs for $2.50

This is why I typically stop in Walmarts if I'm nearby. Clearance leftovers!

I just picked up #75880 McLaren 720S and # 76044 Clash of the Heroes from a seller on Facebook Marketplace, brand new and sealed for £5! Boxes were mashed but they would've been binned anyway

Mentioned this on the Smyths thread as well (as have others) but they're clearing a lot of the Dimensions packs really cheap. Picked up a #71253 for £5.99 (RRP £39.99) and 6 x #71238 for £1.99 (RRP £14.99) each. 85% + discounts!

#60107 $5 from a family friend thru FB Mktplace

Thought this was the truck I needed from last December's haul with the seller-unmentioned #60110 but it isn't. I can only build about 90% of that truck, so this will be a good replacement, same release year anyway (2016)

Not sure if it is a great find, but I found almost a hundred Jack Stone figures in a big lot. Very much wondering why someone would need that many (yes all original).
Nice. Mine don't behave so well. :-)

Went to Walmart and got #75169 Duel on Naboo for $5 and #30450 Royal Talon Fighter for $1. Then messaged someone on the Letgo app and grabbed #75929 Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape for $36. A nice haul for $42 total.

(I also trimmed the photo just so @SumoLego couldn't play investigator).

Oh, it was very fun. I'm someone's younger brother, so... Tweaking someone just to tweak then gives me a terrible sense of delight. 😁

(But I only pick on people I like so you're all good in my book man)
