It’s frustrating when the Walmart app says something is in stock but it can’t be found anywhere in the store.

On the other hand, I’ve found great deals on the shelf that the app said were out of stock at that store.

I saw today in the movies' aisle a bunch of blurays, all of the featuring the LEGO minifigure version of the cover: Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Beetlejuice, etc.

I open all boxes from Walmart right away due to this. I've personally have had stuff like this happen a few times and not just with Lego. The latest was a brickhead that was reglued with a polybag shoved in it. Seemed to be more effort than the $10 it cost, but people will try anything.

Walmart's inventory counter on its website is wrong all the time. It routinely says that stores around me are out of stock, when they actually aren't. Found some 50% off deals last week when I actually went and looked in-store.

Some walmarts are showing the unikitty cmf packs for 3 cent.  I went to check one location that was supposed to have 37 but I only found one.  Maybe some of you will have better luck.

@JCool & @Malkan Make sure you check the tapes very carefully as well as the box seam, usually at the bottom of the box. If they look at all messed up, especially from WalMart, you can be fairly sure it has been tampered with. Caveat emptor!

Good call - they had looked decent.  the person event re-heat sealed the bags inside after taking figs and other parts out.

I have bought some of the most wrecked looking boxes from Walmart, which I of course immediately opened to check for completeness, and have not yet had a problem. Of course it's probably the ones which look okay that have been tampered with.

In 2014, I bought #75051 Jedi Scout Fighter (from Target) only to find that someone had cut open the bag with the minifigures and stolen them. I could not see any evidence on the box of how they did it. (Target exchanged it with no trouble. I opened the replacement in the store to be sure it was okay.)

This happens at many stores, but Walmart seems the worst. I actually saw someone returning SW sets once when I was behind them at customer service. I asked to see the boxes when it was my turn, felt then, then opened them to show the managers what was happening. Each box has a single bag of Legp pieces inside from a Minecraft set. ONE BAG! And the cashier had accepted it with no questions. Since then that store has cleaned up its act, but Lego thieves still exist.
Moral of the story: always check boxes from Walmart.

A little off topic, but my dad worked at a Walmart, in the Vision Center. One day a woman tried to return an expensive pair of sunglasses. She didn't have a receipt, but insisted she'd bought them there. Problem was, Walmart didn't carry that brand (and never had)! They didn't accept the return- and called a couple of other optical shops nearby and warned them.

Walmart is very generous with their return policy. When I worked there last year I found out that you can buy any pair of shoes and return them within 30 days no questions asked. So essentially you could have a new pair of shoes every month...

Wal-Mart exchanged an Android tablet for me that the 'Not Me' Ghost broke.  Well, the third Wal-Mart I went to took it back.  They were very nice!

Probably 2 years ago...I was at a WM and a employee had a shopping cart and was putting 'returned' or 'misplaced' stock back in it's place.  She had just put a couple of LEGO boxes on the shelves that had been just 'retired'.  I looked....they had Kmart priced tags on the front of them.
Last month I was looking at the clearance section at WM and a couple starting ripping open two LEGO Elves boxes and starting looking at the directions.  And then quietly shoved them to the back of the shelf.
      Yes....people are scum.

I still can't find TLM2 CMF minifigs on Brickseek at all - anyone else have any luck?
  • terfstenterfsten Member Posts: 303
My local Walmart had a tag for them on the shelf but nothing in the space. It has now been filled with LM2 metalbeard and piece offering heart polybags last I checked.

I saw the TLM2 CMFs in a big aisle display at Walmart across from electronics. packed with a number of other sets, dvds, and other tat.

47 $1 #41775 otherwise nothing much. A few rollbacks that amount to 20% off in the LEGO aisle and a $40 #75952 in the clearance aisle.

I was just at a WM tonight and they also had #75952 at $40, but in the normal LEGO aisle. It seems to be their normal price.

I’d venture a guess that’s their regular price for it?
  • ryjayryjay Member Posts: 1,004
ya,  visited a walmart yesterday and went down the clearance aisle where they had select sets with yellow stickers.  The prices looked to be just their regular price.  The sticker looked like a clearance sticker, but didnt say "clearance"...I think it said, "our price".  I guess they want you to think it is something good 'cause it is a yellow sticker, lol!

#76103 Corvus Glave Thresher Attack $7
    #31076 Daredevil Stunt Plane $4.50
    #41193 Wind Dragon $9
    #10763 Stephanie's Lakeside House $7

Crap! I bought two today at $1.00. I wonder what time they changed because the store I got them at now shows the $.50 price on Brickseek. There are still lots around me though. $.50 at most stores but some still have them at $1.00. I got the full set almost as soon as they came out but at that price it's worth it to load up on them for some of the unique parts.

My Walmart (Woodburn, Oregon) finally had TLM2 minifigures out. In a center isle display by electronics.

The lure of the #41775 at 50 cents a piece was too hard to resist. Found some along with Emma’s Art Van for $4.50. Thanks everyone for the heads-up.
All the TLM2 had been felt up and giraffes were gone. C’est la vie.

I picked up these two sets tonight.

#60163 Coast Guard Starter Set for $2.50
#60165 4 x 4 Response Unit for $7.00. The box was had a large rip across the front but nothing was missing. Was marked as 25.00 but I scanned it and it rang up much cheaper.

The coast guard sets were not on my must have list but I can't pass up anything City related for those prices.

One Walmart by me had a small event today where kids could make a custom car with the Juniors-style chassis. The lady manning the booth was giving out these stickers and instructions for a build using parts from the Emmet Builder Box, as well as some keychains, for participating.

Finally opened the 47 Unikitty figs I got for $1 a few days ago. The parts are in an ordinary LEGO plastic bag rather than loose in the outer packaging, which makes organizing them much easier. They can't be felt out but were particularly similar anyway

I got some of each character, ranging from 2 to 7 of each

^I went to four different stores last week trying to find some. I only found 3 or 4 at a time, at most, even though one store said they had 75. Out of the ones I did find, 6 of them were Shades Unikitty and 3 were Alien Puppycorn.
