    Given the history of new colors taking a prominent place in modulars (Olive Green in PR, Teal in DD etc) I am going to guess that the new Coral color from TLM2 will be featured in the next modular.

    I am hoping for another modular the size of Assembly Square to get my downtown back on track. If not I'll use half a 16x32 between two road plates for a construction set up.

    That’s a perfect example- could have a raised restaurant patio on the baseplate to provide room for the connector pins.

    Been formulating a design to put the latest LEG brand store between the florist and the cafe to make AS 32x64, but I may like this better....

    Well, it's almost end of November so if any news will come out it will be soon. I looked at last years thread and apart from the leaked picture no official information was given until after Black Friday. So I'm hoping we'll be getting something next week.

    Seems an inside corner would be doable, but would need 2 32x32 or a 32x32 and a 16x32 to make enough of the facade visible.

    Also apparently a tweet from someone to LEGO asking if the new one would be a fire station and a reply from LEGO about the sound of the police and they’d have to see what the designers have in store.

    Those twitter replies are done by a team in Customer Service and we don't know jack about next year's releases, so 95% sure it's just the community leaping to conclusions again innit

    Yeah, that’s very similar to the sort of response they give for any “could you make/do you plan on making” questions. “Good idea, we’ll have to wait and see!” sounds a lot better than “We don’t know and wouldn’t tell you if we did”.

    That is really ugly unless you display it as an inside corner, so would not be of interest to anyone that displays in a row. Whereas an external corner can be displayed in a row as you just have a break for a road, alley or similar. So releasing an inside corner would probably be a bad move in terms of sales. Also a lot of bricks are in the 'hidden' part.

    Last year the DD was officially announced on November 29th. I’m guessing either this Monday or Tuesday (November 26 or 27) or possibly December 3 or 4. More than likely I think it will be before the 1st of December

    Well if it actually is going on sale Jan 1, it's probably in the January store calendar which officially releases on 12/1, but usually someone gets a scan of it a few days before.  So if we don't see the announcement this Tuesday, then either it will leak via the calendar or its not being released in January.

    A Modular Building's number generally comes after the previous year's Winter Village set. The Fire Station is #10263, and the Vestas Wind Turbine is #10268, so my guess is the next modular will be #10264.

    The first time I looked at Assembly Square's unique and asymmetric layout I thought, "hmmm, those buildings could be used to make a decent connection to an inside corner modular."
