    Im glad to be proven correct in that there were going to be some good prices this Fall for retailers, but at the same time its costing me a lot of cash

    Amazon has #10259 Winter Village Station for $63.99 and seems to be the last of the big three (Amazon, Target, Walmart) with it currently in stock. Target has it listed as temporarily out of stock at least.

    I think Target still had it in stock last night, and I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it in order to get the gift card, especially since I ordered #10254 Winter Holiday Train direct from Lego to get the two promotional items this past weekend. 

    I'll probably break down and order it before I leave work.

    There's some weirdness with the Amazon site. "Amazon.com" is selling #60198 via two different ASINs at the moment.

    Argh, I wish I knew about this earlier.  Would've snagged the Porsche set for sure.  Guess I'll be refreshing like mad throughout the day in hopes that it comes back but I'm not holding my breath.  =/

    Although I'm not in the market for this train, I'm with @madforlego on the price dropping further at some point. Of course, if someone can't miss out on this set, then this is a decent price currently.

        I assume you are referring to the #7939 or the #60098. I don't remember the low price on either but I'm sure you do. What was the low price you are referring to?

    I think I remember that. I bought them for 145.99 from Amazon. I searched my history there and I bought the #7939 trains for 125.99. Still not a bad price to pay. Something I don't understand is Amazon discounting a new train that is exclusive to them.

    Yeah, I think though they even know that 229.99 is pie in the sky dreaming for such a set. The rapid discount tells me that, at the very least, it will be 30% off again in its life cycle
