Was a bit early for cinema (A Star is Born, well worth seeing) so popped into Argos and noticed they had #60200 Capital City at 1/3rd off plus had some Nectar points doing nothing so picked it up for £65. Nice.

I just bought the max 1x2 trans light blue tiles B&P allows since water is going to be the one area I don't have enough parts of for adding to Ninjago City.

With all the posts over the past week of people buying/building Ninjago City/Ninjago City Docks, I didn't want to feel left out so added City Docks to my collection:

    (Already have Ninjago City)

And a dragon. Can't have enough dragons.

Just a quick note - apparently Macy's is carrying about a twelve-foot section of LEGO for the Christmas season.

No word on whether they'll carry just the higher volume sets in each theme, or the full offering of theme sets with less variety of themes.
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,241
Macy's should just carry the Nexo Knight sets featuring Macy. What a powerful crossover!
Is there 12 feet of Macy product to satisfy Macy's?

How many Macys may Macy's see if Macy's may see Macys.

Woot! (Amazon owned) had 75119 Jyn Erso for $5, so I picked her up.   Really bad likeness to the character, but it's Lego and one of my favorite female characters.

So when you opened a big set back in '99, instead of numbered bags, you were greeted with polybags? They even come with individual instruction sheets lolz
Had no clue this was a thing back then and it made me curious when I saw the listings. Went ahead and bought 'em since they're sealed.

That's a better idea than the current numbered bags... where there might be two or more bags numbered "1", for instance... but the instructions don't tell you that!

Thank goodness there's still some sealed service packs out there. Perfect for eccentric obsessive-compulsive people like me.

Bricklink's great for finding these but man, sellers rarely reply. At times you gotta message twice even. #Endrant

I've taken advantage of double VIP today to get #10264 Winter Village Fire Station and added #5004936 LEGO® Iconic Cave Set, so that I also got the GWP #40292 Christmas Gift, plus used the Paypal £5 off offer, so got all of that for £84.98 plus the double VIP points, of course.

    =Happy JC! :-)

Very nice. I'm on Lego's site trying to find something I want to get the Christmas gift promo as I really dig it. I'm having a bit of a hard time choosing something though :(

I went to the LEGO store on Saturday to get #70655 Dragon Pit, got double VIP points, #40292 Christmas Gift Box, #40289 Diagon Alley, and #40178 Exclusive VIP Set! Also, the PAB wall had Sand Green 1x2 tiles- so half a large cup of them, the other half various other pieces. (I have no idea what I'll do with that many sand green tiles, but I couldn't pass them up.)

Just snagged a eBay auction for an older set I've been looking for complete with all stickers and at a decent price for a while... will wait to say more until it arrives safely and I can actually verify that everything is accounted for. But, if so... I'm quite excited (and 7 year old me is even more excited)!

I went quite a few months without buying much Lego, but some recent deals got me spending.

First was getting #10251 Brick Bank. I was able to get Target to price match it to Amazon, and after it was all said and done including after tax (6% here) I got it for $137.71.

Then this past weekend at Barnes and Noble I picked up #75955 Hogwarts Express for $76.31 (after tax) to get the 4 pack of figures free. While overpaying for this set, I ensured I got the 4 pack of figures for my wife, which was the important part.

Also this past weekend, I finally bought #10254 Winter Holiday Train for $105.99 and got the double points (199), plus #40289 Diagon Alley and #40292 Christmas Gift Box.
  • eMJeeNLeMJeeNL Member Posts: 818
Just got #60201 Advent Calender for €12,99 (instead of 29,99 rrp) from Amazon.

"I don't always buy LEGO from Shop at Home, but when I do..."

Of course, now I just read somewhere that seasonal BH will be 20% off this weekend, but I won't be making it into a store, so if it's B&M only, I won't feel so bad.

I knew I could count on you to find something that was sort of hidden. As a Christmas present for you, I should have taken the picture on a different table where you can see the rest of the unorganized basement in the background.

One of the DAs is going to my mom as a gift. I sold the other 4 locally, which has covered the price of the Hulkbuster and then some.

So just picked up my first Lego set in two years... Old Fishing Store on Black Friday for 30% off was too good to pass up, especially now that it's gone. Plus with VIP points and a free gift I can sell, the bargain's even better. Really love this set, reminds me of the piers from family reunions in Wilmington, NC and from my summer in Portland. I don't even like fishing but just by looking at this gorgeous thing reminds me of all those memories. Looks like a great build too, can't wait to pop it open when Christmas comes.

I finally grabbed #21147 The Bedrock Adventures at a 30% discount, which finally brought it down in price enough for me.

So, finally got all the 2018 Lego Minecraft sets, just in time to start with 2019! ;-)

  • Didn't know if I should post this here or in the Brag thread, but just picked up the UCS Millennium Falcon for €570 @ FNAC. Never would have thought to see the price under the €600 so it was an easy decision to make. :P

Frantic phone call to TLG after most of the Brickheadz went from being 'temporarily out of stock' to 'sold out.' So we managed to swing Newt & Gellert, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Luke & Yoda, Boba Fett, Jack & Sally, Ariel & Ursula, Steve & Creeper, Mr Incredible & Frozone, Marty & Doc, but missed out on the Thanksgiving Turkey, Santa & Mrs Claus.

Also missed out on the GBHQ there, but managed to score one on eBay for retail with a voucher that knocked $50 off the price, so not disappointed on missing out getting it from S@H.

I'm on a modular run at the moment. My wife bought me the Brick Bank a couple of weeks ago after I mentioned it was soon to be retired. Then I picked up the Detective's Office shortly followed by the Grand Emporium which I bought from the Marketplace forum.
The BB is almost complete, but the other two have joined the build pile along with the Ninjago City Docks.

Yeah, but you didn't get the black VIP card, with the amazing black minifig to come on Friday if you buy something - well worth paying an extra £160 for. :D

Ordered the Technic Rally Car #42077 from S@H on Sunday with the 24 in 1 Christmas set freebie (O2 priority moments) and Carousel freebie, along with a selection of power functions bits to make it into a remote control model. Apparently it's coming tomorrow.

Bought some of the kid's Christmas presents in Smyths and saw the Rally Car box while in there - it looked massive! Very pleasantly surprised at how big it will be for £72 (20% off full RRP from S@H).

Can your wife buy me a few things? Mine despises legos...Really though, i'm insanely jealous of people who have spouses that actually encourage their building activities.
