Would so love to do this but think my collection is getting too big. Already had to reduce some of my themes so I could focus on completing others...

^I have almost the exact same purchase planned in the near future, just a few different Brickheadz.

Looks like 2x VIP points on October 15th, so I'll wait until then.

I've spend almost $200 on Duplo parts, direct from Lego, on:
    • 15 big red arches
    • 17 big blue arches
    • 18 small red arches
    • 10 train track ramps (one block high)
    • 10 train track supports (six blocks high)

@mh3490, I was talking with Lego CS a few days ago and asked if there were any upcoming 2x VIP dates. They told me October 15th through the 31st.

Weird. The store calendar only shows double points for two days (8,9) on select sets. The 15-31 promotion is the minifig frame.

@Astrobricks I saw the same thing but if its double points I guess I'll be making a purchase

I plan on getting the 75218 X-Wing Starfighter sometime between October 15th and October 30th, so I can get the awesome Minifigure Display Frame tomorrow. This set also happens to be on double VIP points this month, which give me all the more reason to buy it. I'll use the Display Frame to put my complete set of Harry Potter CMFs on.

@Astrobricks, it's not on the calendar. I was chatting with Lego Customer Service and asked if there was going to be any 2x VIP days on sets other than SW. The guy I spoke with said yes, the 15th-31st.

Another Lego CS rep confirmed the same for me this morning.

    I guess we'll see in a week.

But did the cashier at Stuckey's confirm!?!?!?  It's not a confirmed rumor until Burgundy Bill talks with Teddy the cashier.

The overtime I'm working this week is going to pay for #75222 Betrayal at Cloud City next Friday! And when it's built, I'm going to park #41451 Unikitty's Cloud Car on it!

Got one of the few lingering Elves Treehouse sets for my girls with 2x points and the minfigure frame today. I know a better deal exists on Amazon but a bird in hand and all that. If Santa doesn't come through with Elves there will be trouble.

^^ I'm almost tempted by double VIP points - I need to consult with Mrs Lobot!

  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,351
Ended up buying a large Bricks and Pieces order along with the WV Fire Station, several Brickheadz, some extra train tracks, and a few smaller sets for my kids.

I'm sure the GWP in November or December will likely be a winter themed item, but I'm impatient and double VIP points are hard for me to ignore.

Plus the minifig frame and mud trooper were good bonuses too.

I just bought 25 yellow bananas on BrickLink/BrickOwl just for a photo I have in my head for my Lego instagram account...

I can blame my wife. The photo idea was hers...

Just ordered the parts to mostly complete my Christmas Mansion MOC. There were a few parts that weren’t available on [email protected] so I’ll have to bricklink those. Hopefully I’ll have everything when it’s time to set up my winter village.

I've noticed you post a few pics in the photography channel before, do you use Instagram? I started this account a few months ago because I'd been getting more and more into toy photography but none of my more "normal" friends were interested in it when I posted them on my own Instagram ;-)

@benbacardi: I do use IG as of the past month. I'm Demarcation_Media on there. I've actually seen your pics before, on Toyphotographers.com with the podcasts! It's a small world. :D

Stopped into the Lego Store on Monday for some Double VIP goodness.

Grabbed two 40305 Lego Brand stores for a modular build, the 853774 Knightmare Pack, and 41662 Venkman and Slimer for my first foray into the Brickheadz line.  Got myself the GWP frame for my troubles.

Probably going to stop back in tomorrow to pick up the WV Fire Station and another frame

@Switchfoot55 Will do! I also ordered a few of the things I needed from bricklink. One of the parts I didn’t get were the earth green window frames. The cheapest ones were $1.35 each and needing 30 of them would have been just a little too expensive for my liking. For the time being I’m going to use the transparent wall element, part#  6000740 that was on the PaB wall at the local Lego store. Hopefully in the near future the window frame will come back in stock on the replacement part site. Otherwise I think I have everything (in hand or ordered) that I need to at least get it built. Then I’ll just need to see what else it needs to make it better :)

Guess that's a USA-thing then? At the Cologne-store nothing of the sort...

Will be putting a pretty big (alas, for me) PaB/BnPorder later today, as to build and extend my Winter Village. FireHouse will be bought 3/11.

I managed to pick up a couple of wanted Classic Space sets from eBay:

    #6842 Small Space Shuttle Craft
    #6870 Space Probe Launcher

I also picked up #75105 Millennium Falcon, which I am going to mod slightly to be more Episode IV-VI (thanks @Pate5346!) and grabbed #70657 NINJAGO City Docks from Amazon.

I'm looking forward to doing a parallel #70620 NINJAGO City & #70657 NINJAGO City Docks build at some point, as the City set is still sitting unopened. That should keep me busy for a while!

^ I don't think that word means what you think it means @stlux - try using "extensive" instead! :-) Although you have managed to fit in rather a lot of themes in there: SW, Technic, Friends, HP, Ninjago, Brickheadz, Boost, City, Disney, CMF and Gear! Eleven!

Also, can anyone who has made a SW purchase over the past 12 days tell us if they got a BB-8 buildable model? I got an email yesterday saying that it was a GWP for anything over £30 between 12-31 Oct but no mention of it was made when my other half bought the Y-Wing at the weekend...

Looking at the range of sets, i think eclectic is correct...

Aside from that, I'm really looking forward to seeing @stlux in the dracula-outfit. Be sure to post a pic, will you?

Can't say about in store but ordered from [email protected] on the 15th and received the BB-8 polybag.
I actually noticed the online promotion on the 12th as was waiting for the double points before ordering and couldn't decide which set to use for the purchase to get the minifig frame.
Didn't receive my email telling me about it until two days ago though.

@MaffyD the Mudtrooper polybag stock ended about a week after the promo started and they replaced it with the BB-8 polybag. I placed an order on the 15th and got the Mudtrooper and place another on the 23rd and will get the BB-8.

Thanks guys for the info. I rang the Lego Store in Leeds and they told me they'd run out of the BB-8 poly. I then rang CS to ask if there was anything they could do. They are sending me BB-8 tomorrow! They did say they wouldn't normally do this though... I guess it must've been because it was my birthday... ;-)

I just received my largest B&P order to date. I was able to finish putting together #10240 Red Five and #9516 Jabba's Palace. I'm excited to start building both!

The bulk of the order was additions to my WV builds including some new lamp posts, figs, accessories, animals, food, and odds and ends.

I got a second "WV baby" fig from the Fire Station. Within 3 minutes of opening the bag, my youngest had used their teeth to remove the head. So...now I have a baby with bite marks on its face and back of the head. Maybe I'll name that one Chompy or something.

I also finally sorted a PAB cup I filled about 9 months ago and forgot I had. It was a fun surprise to find when I was putting things away.

Just popped into Smyth's to pick up #70657 Ninjago City Docks as it's reduced and the £12 off £100 offer is still on. Couldn't pass up on #75932 Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase at £29.99 either.

I was surprised to find the Docks in store since the website said there was no stock, but I asked about it and apparently once stock gets to a certain level, the online system shows as 0 as it prevents the possibilty of someone ordering the last set for Click and Collect when someone in the store could potentially have it in their hands
