Takin' more photos! That's my status. Microfigures are pretty good subjects, even though they have articulation whatsoever.

Mostly what it needs is a Smaug!

Smaug is bad for your lungs.  Lowers the air quality.

So, my sister who isn't an Afol, is the one who got to see the Chiron for real.

Was rummaging around my dad’s loft today finding old things I had stashed there years ago and no longer needed, when I spied a little yellow box I thought had gone years ago. After digging out the big box it was in I found these:

I was was so shocked when I saw that forest men set. I thought I had foolishly sold all my childhood Lego off 20 years ago. The rest was mostly my sister’s I think. Surf shack may have been mine.

Not check through any of it yet, so there may be some disappointment to be had. But I am buzzing with excitement. The fishing boat is definitely missing as the box is empty.

Also found these childhood gems in the box

They have now been filed in the bin. I would say how would you even play VHS tapes now, but I found a player in the loft and finally got my dad to part with his!!!!!! (And his crt tv)

If the rumors of 2x VIP points prove to be true tomorrow my status will probably be 'overspending at the Frankfurt store' or something along those lines.

@Bumblepants, my rumor is true! I my status is currently "how long till my wife realizes how much I just spent on Lego" because of those 2x points.

FWIW, minifig frame and mud trooper GWP are both active online.

Another LEGO project nears completion... This one had some fun challenges to figure out (will throw up pics in the Brickset Builder Guild thread as soon as she's complete).

Yes, there is a sizeable kraken in the bottle.  Probably can't be repaired.

And a sea monster of some sort.

So close. Should have just left it at, "Yes, there is a sizeable kraken the bottle."

Got my replacement torso and legs in for my Kessel Mine Worker.  It's better but not much.  This will have to do I suppose.  Now just need to find where I put my OCD meds.

(Auto-correct!  I didn't notice it until after the eight minutes were up.  I knew you would catch that - but I was worried about @Pitfall69 beating me to the punchline.)

^ I do have all the Bilbo's too (in part thanks to you! :-D), but I have nowhere near all of the Hobbit minifigs (nor do I have plans to try to complete them at this time) so I didn't picture any of those.

Little guy wanted to play with the Lego trains last night and batteries were dead in the remove. All I had was duracell batteries and none of them worked in the remotes because Lego messed up the design of the remotes. Beyond frustrated.
  • Speedman29Speedman29 Member Posts: 2,338
@madejp86 how do the not work? I thought batteries were standard sized etc.
  • madejp86madejp86 Member Posts: 287
@Speedman29 Duracell batteries have shorter positives. I think this is a defect. All other remotes that take AAA batteries work fine for all battery makes but not the Lego IR Remote
  • Speedman29Speedman29 Member Posts: 2,338
Never had an issue with any AAAs I've used whether they're Duracell, TrU or pound shop brand.
  • HanzoHanzo Member Posts: 607
Yeah, same here.  There may be something wrong with that particular remote, but it is not a systemic LEGO issue.

Oh yeah....finally got the opening date for our Lego Store. Beyond excited to finally have one closer than a 6 hour drive.

Got the magic email to say my Hogwarts Great Hall had been delivered and was in the shed waiting for me - couldn't believe how small the box was, then realised I'm used to shop@home delivering sets in boxes the size of a small car - this was from Amazon...

To celebrate Season 3 of Daredevil releasing yesterday (presently mid-binge!), I revisited and reworked my Brickheadz competition entry.

A few Bricklink orders later and I should have physical copies soon!

I am busy planning a MOC to fit between Ninjago City and the Docks. I don't care for the height difference between them plus I am thoroughly enamored with the build style and want to make a NC moc my next big project.

My status is trying to check the status of my PaB & B&P order but the Lego site is being it’s usual difficult self and just keeps taking me to the login page. I really wish they would hire some IT people there.

With Friday's purchase of #75222 Betrayal at Cloud City, #41629 Boba Fett BrickHeadz, and the picture frame and Han Solo Mudtrooper freebies... I own 400,037 pieces! Half-a-million, here I come! I don't even want to try to estimate PAB cups and used, loose purchases, but it's around 50 large PAB cups. Friends and family ask when I'll have enough... I just stare at them. "'Enough?' I don't understand your question."

Finally got the email from S@H that my parts order has shipped. Looks like it’s coming from just outside of Atlanta, GA  so hopefully now that I’m in Raleigh, NC it’ll be here by the end of the week or early next week at the latest. Really getting antsy to start building my Christmas Mansion.

Got really really really frustrated with the S@H yesterday. Wanted to put in an order for the bricks i needed for my WV, but S@H kept messing up when proceeding to checkout, particularly when a BnP-order was added to a PaB-order. really annoying when you have an order of over 75 lots.

Ended up with 2 orders after 5 tries, one just BnP and one PaB and BnP combined (turned out first ordening (not too much) BnP and than adding the PaB does the trick. Both orders over €55, but still got charged for shipping for the BnP-order.

Called CS this morning to ask if they would combine the orders, and thus negating the shipping. Got some VIPpoints instead, so that was partly satisfactory

Hope they send my orders quickly, really want to start building!!
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,485
My recent B&P order was a bit of a nightmare too. I had my cart set after spending a significant amount of time piecing it together. When I came back to proceed to checkout, my B&P order had disappeared.

I put everything back the best I could, then, apparently not learning my lesson, left for a short time again to deal with my kids. Came back and it disappeared once again.

I contacted CS and their response was, "Oh yeah, that system can have issues sometimes. It's best to drop items in your cart and then submit the order right away."  ....thanks.

I ended up finding time to put things back together again, plus some additional items, and push my order through. The frustrating part is I realized the following day about 10 lots that I had forgotten to add. I also had missed out on two more items that went OOS between my first and third experience. None of which are enough to equal free shipping. So now I wait to submit the order again until my next S@H purchase, not risking to waste my time again by putting them in the cart only to have them disappear once more.

With parts for the Daredevil suit and Matt Murdock on the way, I'm trying to decide if I want to order parts for this one as well...?
