The name of the model is Kuma-Nui. It's supposed to resemble the giant rat who makes all of the rules a giant mechanical rat. And yep, it's a combination model of #8538 (the instruction manuals for that set show how to build either the individual models or the Kuma-Nui).

    I'd say it's a crude MOC.

Hello,  Anyone recognise the Lego mini figure on my profile pic?  Many thanks
  • The_RancorThe_Rancor Member Posts: 2,573
Hi there. I'm assuming that's a Lego clone brand or competitor - looks like the love child of Harry Potter and Agent Smith. Do you know what kind of theme it's from?

Agreed. Certainly doesn't look like LEGO.

Thank you for your help.  I do not know what set it came from.  Was thinking it might be one of the rare ones from an expo.  He came with a set of mini figures.  He sits perfectly on the lego and does look like a mini figure who is a bit more rounded than square.  Wonder who might know for sure.

  • cicacica Member Posts: 2
Got him with 150 other lego min figures and there is not one that is anything like him?

  • ShibShib Member Posts: 5,469
The shaping doesn't mean it's a rare LEGO figure, it means it's a figure from a different brand. It's almost certainly worthless.

The torso looks a bit like a character building figure but the head and legs don't.

My guess would be one of the very generic brands (like Wilko in the UK) is probably where its from. Look for any manufacturer's names etc moulded anywhere into the parts, if you can't find any it's more proof it's junk, no one wants to admit to making such a dodgy knock off

Looking at the feet I'd guess it was made by Sluban.

Could also be Mega Blox, they have large bulky figures like that.

It is unlikely there is a missing Avent Calendar with respect to the database.  It could be this minifigure as well.

The sled is them is the item I'm researching.  It seems to be eluding me.

Possibly true...these were in a box with lots of other parts, it just seemed natural that they came together.  I'm 100% sure it's not a MOC.  The 1x1 black round plate under each chain end tells me it is too well designed.  The back is meant to hold an easily removable 2x2 brick. The front is for a minifig to sit.  If you're searching by year, I think everything in the box is pre-2013.

Is there a way to search "contains part x, y, and z"?

Lastly, it could be an un-cataloged polybag.

got to say I disagree about it being too well designed to be a MOC, I’ve seen stuff built by kids that’s far better designed than that. The colours are completely off for typical LEGO Christmas design.

I get the feeling you might be trying to convince yourself it’s something more interesting than it actually is.

@asherkobin That sled contains nothing but common parts, but even just combining elements 302321 (bright red 1x2 plate), 366621 (bright red 1x6 plate) and 428626 (black 1x3 roof tile) only results in 19 matched sets. None of which have anything remotely to do with Christmas.

Rebrickable also has a nice list of the advent calendars' daily models here, starting from the 90's. Nothing there resembles your sled.

So as many others have already pointed out, 100% a MOC.

@datsunrobbie who's site is that? Has it been around long? Seems like a great idea.

@andhe That site was created by sausage lover and great Brickset member @paul_merton.

I have these 2 x 4 tiles that are printed with wonder woman, Superman, and Batman. I cannot find them anywhere in a database. Anyone?
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,696
According to BL, the stickers weren't intended to be there. Probably put there from non-Lego stickers.

I'm pretty sure the boat isn't LEGO- the windshield and seat are wrong, and I can't see the logo on the studs.

The boat must have floated up from the toilet, it has Chinese on it. XD Totally fake.

The plane is #7808 but missing the tail.

That big gray tube thing doesn’t go with that. I can’t figure out what part that is.
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 3,913
My (work) computer is funny today; I only saw the 2nd and 3rd pictures at first- so #8164 is the 3rd picture; I don't know about 4th- but I don't think that tube is LEGO.

@Oldtodd33 They're not stickers - they are definitely printed on there. They came from a LEGO build at Crate & Barrel event years back.

  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,819
The tube in pic#4 in your first set is from the "slammers" cars, possibly #8228, but the rest of that pic seems to be a MOC.

    new set
    #7453
    #30035
    #7801
    #7802

Actually, the orange stripe on the side makes it more likely #7971.

You can bet anything with a lime green vehicle body & orange implements is gonna be Power Miners.

    Does anyone know if LEGO has ever produced something similar to this in 2x2 for a 4x4 dome? I'm wondering if I'm just looking in the wrong places... https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=88293#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  • datsunrobbiedatsunrobbie Member Posts: 1,819
Part#86500 is a 4x4 dome. As far as I know there is no 4x4 1/4 dome

Too well designed for it to be a MOC of my construction :)

Ok I relent.  To many experienced people here (thank you all) for me to continue investigating.  My best assumption now is that a friend made it for me with my parts while I was building other stuff.  Also, I think a Lego-made sled would have the skid plates under the bottom.  Cased closed!

Hope this is in the right thread. I just picked up a Blue Benny Spaceman. How do I tell if he's recent or an original one?
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,696
Original space figs will either be hollow inside the torso or have four "teeth" for clutch inside. Newer figs have an "x" pattern inside for clutch.

Also, original ones will have a thin chin strap on the helmet and a plain, single sided smiley face.
  • colaycolay Member Posts: 547
ah, thank you. Looks like a one sided head, and 4 'teeth'. Also hands look a slightly differnt blue now, maybe with age. Logo looks mis placed too, its high and to the left, not central. The helmet strap is hard to say if thick or thin though
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,696
The Benny helmet will have a molded fake crack in it too.

@Boyband700: the very top set (of your first post) is #75138 Hoth Attack. Looks like it's missing some pieces though. Next pic down is the speeder from #75131 Resistance Trooper Battle Pack. Next is #75126 First Order Snowspeeder Microfighter. And finally, the last pic is the speeder from #75145 Eclipse Fighter. I'll take a look at your second post and see what I can dig up.
