Also scored a White House today!  I paid a bit more, $10, but looks complete and box is in really good shape.

Along with that I scored #8461 in sealed bags with instructions and unused sticker sheet for $20.  I just thought it looked like a cool set when I bought it.  I just checked it on bricklink out to see if it was complete and was taken back by the price!

local FB Marketplace pickup, NISB for $50 total.

Got the seller down from $70 by driving the whole distance rather than meeting halfway. Says there's more where that came from, mentioned a "big box" ;)

Scored all but 2 of the Jungle series sets in the past month! Unpopular series?

Found this RoseArt Lego Puzzle on Saturday, only missing one piece of the foam 3D parts, for $5.

Also found #21208, just need #21206 to complete the theme.

Chanced upon Speed Champions Mercedes AMG in Tesco today with a shelf label claiming it as a new product and a price of £6.49. Only one there so I just had to have it.

Tesco can be a gold mine every so often but means constant checks and paranoia you've missed something at all other times

That's pretty much how I feel about car boots and charity shops.

No, random yard sale find.  He had a box with the bags, and I looked at the instructions and thought it was a really cool looking technic set.  Thought it would just be something fun to build with the kids, but now I'm trying to figure out the best thing to do with it.  Build and display?  Sell and buy more Lego?  Store and stash it?  Burning questions...

I say flip it for something really expensive on your wants list. Then you can buy guilt free!

Buying to flip takes a lot of comittment to the cause. I picked up the following at the weekend with the intention of selling at least a couple of them on, but now I have them I can't bring myself to do it.

    #7905 Building Crane
    #10159 City Airport
    #7892 Hospital
    #60031 City Corner
    #7639 Camper
    #7790 Ambulance

I paid £120 for the lot and was planning on selling the crane and maybe the hospital, but now I've built the crane it looks great in my layout and the kids love the hospital!

Buying to flip does take commitment! I've had a number or purchases made with the sole purpose of flipping them for a decent profit so I could buy something on my wants list. But, like @Th1nDiesel, once I had them in hand it was a battle to bring myself to sell them.

So far I've managed to flip most...but not all.

Great find though on that 8461!

Boy, #7892 should have been called Mountain Hospital ;-)

^ Yes, I agree; it's a really odd choice of baseplate for a hospital. Can't believe the condition it was it though; immaculate, not a single mark on it - unusual for Lego from Facebook Marketplace.

I recently bought #1733, #6258 and #7409 on a thrift store. The last one is MISB, the others are still sealed but the boxes have some damage.
I couldn't resist on buying them, since they're classics and given their new condition, but I don't really have a place for them in my collection...

Found a brand new and sealed #9335 on FB marketplace for $60.  Decent price for 1176 pieces, not to mention one of the better education sets IMO.

Sort of an update that helps make a good find a great find.

I recently bought a bulk lot after seeing some #10240 Red Five pieces sticking out of the top. I got the bin home, sorted through and found about 90% of Red Five along with 95% of #9516 Jabba's Palace - less the minifigs and Jabba (among other smaller sets).

I bricklinked the missing parts for those two sets and just resold what was left in the bin for the same amount I paid for it and my BL orders combined.

Nothing like a UCS set (my first by the way) and another solid SW display piece for free!

My local connection comes through again! So glad I met them.

    #10196 Grand Carousel
Most of #7018 Viking Ship Challenges the Midgard Serpent
    Partial Viking Chess set
    All for under $301.

Bad news: have to wait for Christmas.

I took a chance on a $20 eBay bulk lot after seeing the spires from #9468 in one of the bags pictured in the listing. Once received, the entire set was there. Minifigures, the car, everything-not one missing piece. My first and only lego score to date.

#70920 Egghead Mech had been growing on me so I kept checking BrickSeek. 2 units at $13 at a Wal-Mart a bit too far away for a casual trip. But two weeks later they’re supposedly still there & I had a reason to be nearby. Looked & looked and finally found them in a cardboard box full of pegboard rods on the top shelf of the clearance aisle. Was very happy to bring those home, I was certain I’d been on a wild goose chase!

They weren’t by chance also in the cellar in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying “Beware of the Leopard” were they?

Tonight I picked up the six Spider-Man minifigures from #4851 plus J. Jonah Jameson from #4855, five Harry Potter figs from #4731 Quidditch Match and six baseplates (1 48x48, 1 32x32 and 4 16x16) for £13 from a local Facebook Marketplace seller.

Just in time for Halloween, I've today picked up #75904 Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion for £45, complete with box and instructions. Not the biggest bargain, but a set I've been after for a while, mainly for the Daphne and Velma minifigures. Got it from a local sale on Facebook Marketplace with an original asking price of £70. Happy to finally own it, but still not over the fact that I missed out when it was £17 in Tesco!

Long-time lurker, first-time bragger. Got an original Mr Freeze for £2... Man it's a dull figure 'in the flesh'. No printing apart from the head, but a bargain at that price.

Saw an advert on Facebook with a picture of large The Mountain Cave (Minecraft) set, and the price was 60 CHF (around £40). I read the description which was pretty confusing (it was in German so hard for me to translate), but it listed around 10 bags which were missing. I asked for pictures of the bags and counted 24 of them.

Well, fast forward to yesterday and the set arrived with bags 2-24 of The Mountain Cave all sealed. Only bag 1 missing (some minifigures and accessories). Plus bag 5 of the Crafting Box 2.0. I`m just absolutely amazed that I got almost the entire set for such a bargain price!

The lady explained that her son was given the set and didn`t end up building it! Well....only in Switzerland do kids get given over a 300 CHF set and not build it!

Got City Corner on a quick 7 day sale at Argos for £80 last week.  Saved £40.  Also, a few months ago got the Palace Cinema and Parisian Restaurant for £200 all in.  Then a friend of my mum sold me around 10 more modern Star Wars sets (I know nothing about them, but included millennium falcon and slave I) Helm's Deep, The Knight Bus, Hogwarts and Hagrids Hut for £200.

I just purchased #70165 Ultra Agents Mission HQ (MISB) for £90 with free shipping from ebay which is £10 Over it's original RRP. It wasn't until there was 90 seconds left that it occurred to me that I should have checked Bricklink first. I checked after I'd won the item and the only UK seller on Bricklink had it for £135 plus shipping.

I think it's a great looking set and not sure how I missed it back in 2014. I absolutely love #70172 Ultra Agents Ocean HQ and #70162 Inferno Inception. Just intrigued because I was the only bidder so does anyone else think I got a good deal? I'm very happy with it regardless.

I own that set, and many more from that era. The part was pretty common in those days (80-90ies). Do wonder why Lego stopped using that kind of hinges, though!

also: iirc, the motorcycle is supposed to be blue (or maybe black, but not red?!)

Last July, in a toystore on Lanzarote:

€85, and at least 3 on the shelf. Not my cup of tea, so didnt get one. (Also lacking space in my luggage too be honest ;))
