it looked like a face when i first saw it, so some kind of robot.
  • Baby_YodaBaby_Yoda Member Posts: 1,295
^ My thoughts as well. It always freaked me out after finishing a Bionicle set and having that left over since I figured it was part of their face or something.

Can someone tell me which set this goes to? I believe its star wars.

What's this thing? It's part of an eBay listing with some minifigures, some animals, assorted wheels and tires, and a bunch of random accessories.

A quick google* image search shows its part of #4756 aka Shrieking Shack from Harry Potter.

    *other search engines are available...

Yes, it's a minifig (or anything that fits) swapper. There is a rotating barrel inside with two chambers, one open on the bottom and one enclosed. Pressing the button turns it, swapping the items between the inside and outside.

Thanks guys. The old HP sets were out right in the thick of my dark age and I'd never seen such a large, specialized piece from Lego before. I'll probably pass on that auction even though the shack piece alone seems to be worth about as much as the price of the whole listing.

    Hello fellow Lego enthusiasts!
My neighbour's junior got a box of a bunch of sets mixed together but without instructions. He has however a partially build truck with crane. I tried the Lego building instruction download page to find the instructions but failed in doing that. That's why I kindly ask you to help me identify the set.
Please see the pictures he took below:

I hope to see a reply soon and am happy to provide more information.

    Thank thee
    Christian

Hey gang, cant find these on Bricklink. The axle tips look LEGO to me...

Anyone know what this could be? We purchased 4 boxes of Lego and are interested in restoring this! I thought it might be a Batwing but looking through past release, I have not come across it

Brilliant. I love the look of the finished item. Hopefully there's all the pieces amongst the 4 containers we are slowly going through! It seems to have Ninjago pieces which is all new to me.

    Thanks for identifying it!

Thx oldtodd33, I figured it was clone-related. Didnt show up under a "cloth" keyword search under Parts.

It's funny because earlier today I was cross-referencing the clear round 2x2 on the cannon underside & didnt reach a conclusion on that either. Now I see both are in this set
  • CyberdragonCyberdragon Member Posts: 550
Those weird technic pieces, if they are official, make me think either Chima, Ninjago, or Bionicle based on color and pattern (might be totally off). Does the middle have any sort of hole? They look like sockets for something to stick into.

I just checked 11 Bricklink pages of parts with the keyword "axle" & didnt see em.
  • Baby_YodaBaby_Yoda Member Posts: 1,295
It's possible the axle parts are just another brand. I've seen others use a similar axle system to Lego. Does it have the logo on it at all?
  • BrainsluggedBrainslugged Member Posts: 2,249
That axle part looks like its made of quite soft plastic. Plus it doesnt look to be a standard Lego colour and I've never seen it before. So im saying non-Lego. All sorts of weird stuff crops up in bionicle though, so I could be wrong.

Color looks dang close to dark orange
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,354
    Dang close? Or exact?

I've exhausted my searches for the part. I tend to be pretty good ad finding random items in the BL database. This one just doesn't seem to be coming up for me.

^ In your first image it looks like there are metallic sparkles in them, much like I’ve seen in metallic MB parts. But I’ve only seen those in shades of gray.

^ I thought the same thing. Although I have seen some metallic dark green MB parts I think.. these remind me more of that.

Any markings on the "bottom" side of the part? They sure look familiar, but I sort through a lot of off-brand stuff.

I purchased a lot of minifig torsos last week out of curiosity. It has three torsos that have me wondering where they could have come from. They have Lego on top of the head stud like they should and they have the second design torso with four teeth for clutch indicating they are older. They have Lego design printing but are printed on the wrong color torso plastic. I have seen the police officer knocked off before but not the other two designs. The T logo is from Time Cruisers but it has the copper print from Aquzone on it also. The old castle print is correct but also on the wrong color plastic. I am having a hard time believing they are not knock offs but the Lego logo says they are real. Does anyone have any ideas or explanations for these?  I am posting a link to the auction here also to make it easier to understand. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Lot-Of-100-Minifigures-Parts-Lot/173531442835?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

I'd add that these came from Rhode Island which is next to Connecticut. Possible that they are from a Lego employee that took them home for souvenirs?

I believe that part is worth about three times the value of the set itself, here at least...

That part is supposed to be brick yellow (tan). Is that the color of the part in the picture? It looks light gray to me, but I see Brickset shows the only other color is dark bley. It doesn’t seem to be especially valuable on BrickLink. It looks to be less than a tenth the price of #71242.

It looks light tan to me. The background probably makes it harder to tell. (it's The Dress all over again)

It looks to be some sort of combination of #8538's models.
  • asherkobinasherkobin Member Posts: 194
I believe this came with a few brick presents.  I couldn't find it in BrickLink or BrickSet.  I think it came from an Advent Calendar but all the ones I checked had different kinds.  Thanks.

That sled might be a MOC? I'm not sure.

Thanks for the research.  I looked there too but it's not that Santa.  His legs are the bluish-grey.  I don't know what year the new torso came out but he has it (the cross in the underside, released in 1998 I think).  And I'm not a MOCer.  It is possible an Advent Calendar hasn't been put into the database?
  • SumoLegoSumoLego Member Posts: 15,229
It is unlikely there is a missing Avent Calendar with respect to the database.  It could be this minifigure as well.

The sled is them is the item I'm researching.  It seems to be eluding me.
