3 bags of 95 each would be 285. One is a spare, so 284 go in the bottle. I'm guessing.

^but they usually put one spare per bag containing the part so there would be 3 spares...

I don't think they always put one spare per bag, when a particular piece is in several bags, but it could be that I'm losing some and not noticing because I still have a spare!

So you have to count all 3 bags to find out which one has the spare?

I'm with @pxchris, mine only had two bags. Hmm...a trip to Lego CS is in order I guess.

They seem to have stopped that at some point last year. The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets were some of the first that I noticed had only one spare of each piece below a certain weight on a per set rather than per bag basis, and I've observed the same consistently with this year's sets.

Just build this very cute set #40291. I missed it when it was a promo so I decided to buy it second hand on BL for my 57th birthday -- which is today!

It's a great set to build and very dense /part heavy.

Happy birthday @dutchlegofan50 ! I built it recently too and it's indeed a very very cute set.
I made the alternate models of the Cute Pug these last couple of days. Not that impressed, although it's only a small amount of pieces.
If you don't know what it is, would you be able to guess though?*

    And here's the turkey:

Right, well. I built the TIE fighter, then put it away again today veggie remembering to take a photo !Never mind. Anyway, I'm on a bit of a star wars roll, so tonight (and probably the rest of the weekend and the week after) I'll be building this:

I promise to post pictures of the finished model this time! It'll be around for a while!

Also, does this look like the right amount of "sea"? I built it recently, but can't remember the number of bags it came in:

Built my ship yesterday and after checking this thread I had to go make sure I wasn't missing a bag (came w/ 2 bags).
    Final count = 288 studs (so 4 extras), but I didn't get an extra clear 1x1 :(

Bad hands today, so only built a small polybag, but it's a creepier and scarier than I thought. Happy I opened it up.

@mdtvandy I like your Ravenclaw common room. If you are doing more school related builds this month, maybe you can enter the monthly building competition here
@Polyphemus That one is also in my old sets, looking forward to restoring it when I got a bit of time to really get the stuff sorted.

Just made an Instagram account for Toy Photography. So far there's only two Lego photos there, but more to come!

I definitely like G+ better though.

Finally started Ninjago City. Was a tough call between building that or The GB Firehouse. Ninjago set looked like more fun tbh

Built a little battle pack tonight.  So impressed with these dual molded helmets.  Probably my favorite troopers in quite some time.

@PJ76uk I can guarantee that it won't be your last. Wait till you start bricklinking the original 3 and then spend exorbitant amounts of money on Town Hall. It's quite the rabbit hole.

Once I'm in, I'm all the way in! Bought both #10232 and #10218 BNISB from the same seller on ebay. Now the kids are in bed I'm cracking on, just the roof and final touches left to go.

Pet Shop is a good one. I enjoyed it more than Palace Cinema. Parisian and Assembly Square are my favorite modulars and probably two favorite sets. If you can Bricklink Cafe Corner, it still holds up well.

Then you need a table, some roadplates, multiples of buildings... traffic lights and then... a loop of track for the trains.

The rabbit hole goes so deep that you don't care you can't see any light.

And a dock so the Imperial Flagship can be displayed...

I think it is a tell-tale sign of a totally different level of collecting when LEGO is stored in LEGO caaepack boxes.

Game of Thrones.  Twister themed blanket.  Lots of Iron Manses.  Very impressed!

Started #10218 Pet Shop, bag 1 done and lots of interesting techniques so far and I've only done the ground floor of the apartment building! Can't wait to see what else I can learn from this build...

Finished my second modular, #10218 Pet Shop. The build was much better than #10232 Palace Cinema, although I prefer the latter visually. Certainly getting a taste now!

...and joining then together was so satisfying!

All detail stuff now. I'm pleased with how well the half-round cylinder tiles from Catwomans Cycle Chase double as two-stroke engines for yard work tools. And the old-school metal detector with the stud on the dish makes a decent weedwhacker.

Building #70653 First Born today. This is the first set we that included this new to us piece. It is always fun to get new pieces. This piece is especially exciting with so many ideas for its use.

@MrJackson I may have to steal your weedwhacker design. I love that tile. I have a bunch for my planed motorcycle shop modular( if I ever get around to it)

A combination of recently finding good deals on sets from my wish list and digging in to my backlog!

Forgot to post a pic last night of the completed model so here it is!

Now to find somewhere to display it...

Only two bags to go now on the Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon! It's very impressive from the front and I like the traps and details at the back.
