Lol, autocorrect... Anyways just for the 69141 police HQ for 370 DKR (57 US$) at the same Toysrus. The suggested retail procent here (the price you pay at the Lego store and Lego website) is 899 DKR 140 US$. Another GOOD deal :-)

I snagged a bulk bin off the Facebook Marketplace this morning.

The crown jewel is #10240 UCS Red Five. It's unfortunately missing the plaque, but otherwise looks to be complete!

Lots of other treasures in the bin too! 23lbs total. A fun few nights/weeks ahead sorting things out.

^ I wouldn't call it complete until you've got the plaque. Are you ordering it? 'Cause if you are, then for now, Red Five, standing by.
(Why do I have a feeling of deja vu?)

Went to the Coles supermarket in Kilburn to grab a few things & noticed a seemingly unmolested box of HP minifigures in their meager toy section. A quick check through of the box & we now have a Percy Graves, my wife was beginning to expect she'd have to hit up eBay to get one.

Popped into the local toy fair and picked up a #10020 Super Chief for £115. Complete with everything including the box and instructions. While the box has some damage, the set itself is immaculate.

Not sure how bragworthy this is, but for some reason a #76028 Darkseid Invasion randomly appeared on the shelves of my local Barnes and Noble. 30% off plus the member 10%. I guess someone found it buried in the back. I happily picked it up

That's a good deal! I remembered getting it from Amazon UK back in 2015 for £17 each.

I lucked out and was the only bidder on an eBay auction , picked up what I thought was most of #1015, but I noticed that the letter Q is different than the one pictured for that set. I cannot seem to find that Q in any pictures using Google, nor have I found a set that matches the pieces. I was really looking for sets of System scale letters, so my search for those continues.

150 letter tiles, 6 plates and 5 connectors for $27. Spent an hour playing spelling games with my grandson last night after popping all the bubble wrap.

@Astrobricks Whoops, that detail is a little important, isn't it? Yes, it was $40. I'm pretty thrilled.

Nice!  I tried "VERY" hard back a few weeks to get this and the walker cheap.  Kept watching multiple stores daily that had any stock.  The prices came down some, but I was never able to snag for the $40-60 range.

@Keilup we all luck out sometimes. This just happened to be my time. Stay persistent, and it'll pay off. It's these deals we find 10%-20% of the time we clearance hunt that make the other unfruitful searches worth it!

I made a bid on #79003 on a Dutch marketplace website, and got it for 60 euros, which feels like a steal. It was missing one dwarf, but I found him for 8 euros on the same site, so 68 euros in total. Me = happy!

Half Price Books in Roseville, MN has a bunch of vintage LEGO sets in original boxes, from early 1970's to about 2010. I bought #570 Fire House ($20) and #480 Rescue Helicopter ($10). Firehouse has a note that it's missing a "1x1x1 yellow" and a "2x8x1 black". The LEGO flag stickers have been applied, and all the rest of the flags are still

On the sheet, adhesive pretty dried out. The bricks are very clean and unscratched, almost new.

Not so much a brag as pure luck, I bought 10 Harry Potter CMF's yesterday from Smyths toy shop In Salisbury, literally grabbed 10 packets in one hand full off the rack, (they were hung on pegs), no packet fondling or squeezing and look who I got......

^^^ What that says to me is the HP figs are much more sought after than the FB ones. I picked up another PG plus Creedence from a box with about 10 bags left in Sainsbury’s yesterday. And another S18 policeman from the hangers!

Or, it’s just Walmart being Walmart.

For some reason I didn't realize Boost has been out over a year already.  Yeah, your hypothesis seems pretty spot on.

Some might not think it's that great but I got the hero factory villains corroder, meltdown, and xplode at a thrift shop for $1 total! Only missing a couple minor pieces! Got a few other random bionicle and hero factory parts too including the second of the six light up toa inika swords. I was extremely happy to say the least! :)

@FowlerBricks It was my favorite theme and really got me into lego! Still love the concept even if I wasn't really happy where they took the story. I loved it up through breakout. Brain attack was not my favorite. Invasion from below I liked some of the mechs but it wasn't really hero factory lol. I love the more sci-fi feel as compared to the more "mystical" feel of bionicle.

^Breakout was the best wave in my opinion. I really liked the fact that Lego brought back the 1.0 helmets. Brain Attack was interesting. The visor pieces were pretty slick. The Invasion From Below was one of my favorite waves, except for how fragile the little Heroes clip joints were. *Sigh* I want a reboot. :)
  • terfstenterfsten Member Posts: 303
Breakout was definitely the best! I was so excited for where it would go the next year. Then brain attack kind of threw me for a loop lol. I didn't mind invasion from below. I do like the mechs and the little heroes. Just felt like it kinda get shorted. Especially when it came to the animated websites. A reboot would be cool! :)
